He was a Life trainee, this should have been right up his alley... Oliver tried to remember how Arorangi and Lydia had succeeded. Suddenly a familiar voice startled him, and when he looked up, the pieces clicked into place in his hand. "Ah, Jack! Yes, um, I am very glad you are back safe!" The remarkable thing was that Oliver actually looked happy to see his 'mentor'. Or at least as happy as a traumatized kid had any right to look. Evan heard Noemi call for him--and it must have been important, because he had never heard her shout so loudly before--and cursed wholeheartedly as she told him what she wanted. The last thing he wanted to do was go after another friend. Annoyed, he spotted Nora and didn't quite stomp his way over to her. "Hey," he said, carefully laying Sasha down on the table she was working out. "Watch her for me, would you? Thanks." He summoned Gir on his way over to Milo. "Thank you, Cee," Nora said, "for that clarification. I'd let the gentlemen have their public spat in peace." Granted, if she actually had a stake in that argument she'd be a lot more nosier herself, but she was just fine with green-stained hands and a bubbling sense of frustration about it.
The noise in the background was just like another telly.

Meanwhile, Kiki the actual Life Trainee was also having trouble making things work. It was difficult to get real work done when real life zombies were moaning and groaning around.

Another vile broke in his hands, the glow of the runes going out.
He dropped this one too and let it roll away from him before puling out another. Littering was not his concern right now.

Approval. It might not have been directed at Oliver himself, but the knowledge that he was at least the messenger of good news cheered him. He wasn't going to mention the scalding burns and his time in the infirmary when it had blown up on him, the incident that had finally tipped the scales towards repair. "I think so, a-and something else... French vanilla, or something like that." Since he didn't drink coffee himself, he could never remember anything beyond what Jack had recently requested.

It was super important to do as little work as possible, at a time like this. But eventually, someone literally handed them vial pieces, and demanded they too get to work trying to help. Maebe made a loud groaning sound, completely put out, and moved to the area where everyone was putting together vials. "I already sacrificed my life for you people, I turn into a zombie for you people, isn't that enough-" She instantly regretted complaining, because directly across from her stood her boyfriend, putting together vials of his own. "Nevermind. Vial making it is."
