Getting respawned was a supremely strange experience, something that left the girl dazed and staring wildly around herself in hopes of figuring out where she'd been put. The Jabberwocky snapped at her a second later and she figured it out. It's claws found him before his feet hit the road. He should be bleeding out he realized as the card said his hp again as it fell. Even the card sounded worried. The creature vanished into mist behind him, but the drider saw none of that. As he ran he heard voices. Linuial singing. His matron reprimanding him for a poor job mopping the temple. The noise of the birds when he first saw light. Linuial's calm, quiet voice. Mostly Linuial, the kind drow bard always showing him the best of his world. His brother. Or what once was his brother. Tears stung his eyes and he almost forgot how to run on two legs. Stumbling, he felt the will to escape waver. But he had to escape. He heard Linuial scream for him. Begging for him to remain a drow and not be turned into a drider. Looking down he saw spider legs and not the cat tail that had been following him since he woke. Tripping over legs that were not there he fell. And the jabberwock fell onto him. This time as she ran, no matter how tempting it was, Tacel did not stop for the voices behind. They got louder this time, spoke for longer, but she was determined not to give in and turn around. And like most things that are ignored, eventually they went away. She wished she were taller so she could be faster, but wishes were as good as fishes right now so Tacel ignored her racing thoughts that there were being very silly. As she ran, she came across a fork in the road that made her linger for far longer than she liked. There was a clock and a health potion and as much as she liked not dying, she also wanted to... Not die. So Tacel grabbed the clock and raced down that path. "Whoa." The woods had started to shake. Rocker looked around a bit, confused. "What the hell?" Little creatures started running past him. "It's coming!!""What? What's coming? What the hell could be so scary.."Oh. That. He hadn't even noticed the woods go silent, but he noticed now as that huge monster was staring at him with all those very...very...sharp teeth... SNAP!

"Oh no..." Her heart filled with dread as she came upon a fork in the road. The last time she ran into one of these, she was bound to the endless torment of being lost. On the right, a bright green bottle promised +10 HP with glowing letters floating above it; shining like a beacon of hope in the middle of a roaring sea. And waiting on the left, a small pocket watch shimmered with a golden gleam, its own letters promising +1 Second Chance. Briar_Rose made a split-second decision and chose left, snatching the Second Chance Timer as she raced by. FLyin'High slowly walked along enjoying the scenery. But there was something odd about it. She had seen the woods full of life a moment ago but now it was odd and quiet. This couldn't mean anything good. She felt something move behind her, she felt cold. She turned to see what it was and froze. Oh god. It snapped and she suddenly felt weak in the knees. But she couldn't just stay there. She hard to run. She would have to make out of this alive. She started to run. It was gaining on her rapidly, its claws wooshed out and snatched at her back, snagged in her skin and caused her to cry out but she only hurried faster. She was so close to the end, she was sure of it! She had been running for what felt like ages now... The Jabberwock resurfaced as she came around a bend in the road. It crashed through the woods in a fit of smoke and fury, a glowing fire flickering within its eyes as it followed her. It snapped and roared, laying waste to anything it had encountered as it caught up to her. Snap.The Jabberwock's jaws closed on the edge of her outstretched wing, but luckily it only managed a scratch and a mouthful of feathers. He re-spawned again to the sound of the trees sobbing in terror. Looking down he saw the tail thrashing about his normal legs. His breath hitched. Flyin'High runs with all her might, determined to escape. She pants and gasps as she looks around her frantically but she notices something odd. There isn't anything chasing her anymore. Peculiar. But still on guard, she was ready. That was when the voices came….. "Where are you sister? I miss you…" That…that was her brother! "WHere are you brother! Tell me!" "I'm right behind you sister…. turn around and come console me. I've missed you." She wanted to so badly…but something was off. He had never told her he was here in the game. The path was the same. The voices were the same. Tears stung his eyes at Linuial's singing. He missed the bard terribly. Now that he transformed unwillingly to what he was (a drider) he would never hear a note from him again. He somehow managed not to get chomped on again. He didn't know what happened, but suddenly the monster was just...gone. Well, the shape was. He could still hear the footsteps of it coming for him.
