Asher listened to Leo's explanation, but understanding a little more. It seemed Leo had just about everything figured out. "Let's just hope it isn't the dumbest decision you've ever made," he said with a sigh. "Let's change the subject a bit, then. Who was here? A thief? I think he took the locket on the desk." The locket was the only thing he knew was linked to his family, and he didn't want to lose it just like that.

Leo returned to his former insanely angry personality upon the subject switch. "Yeah you could say that. It was Lucky again, he seems to appear out of nowhere! He would have stolen your book too but I got it back from him. I didn't know he took the locket. I swear Ash if it's he last thing I do I'm going to grab it from him and then beat the hell out of him!!" Leo yelled as he allowed the anger to get the best of him.

"You implied he was part of the organization, right? We can probably confront him there," Asher said, slightly disturbed by Leo's angry aura. It was obvious he hated whoever that Lucky kid was. "Did he say anything about what he wanted?"

Leo was, once again, returned to sanity at the question and slumped against the window. "He wants you." he said softly as he hung his head. "He said he's going to be my partner in the Crime Fighting Unit and that he was going to steal you away from me." Leo knew Lucky was wrong, the two of them had a bond unlike any other and that would be tough to break.The Crazy Tomboy ((I thought I'd make a note that "The Daughter of the Forest" isn't a sweet story, it's actually quite sad. You should read it, it's very good! Oh and was your username once Golden Beloved?))

Leo took a minute to digest everything before he nodded and gave a soft sigh. "Your right. He's going to have to fight tooth and nail to get to you to." he said with a small smile as he headed back toward Asher's bed. "I just hope that he isn't such a pain when I move in. I hope you'll like it there, the organization isn't that great looking on the outside but it's nice inside." Leo said with a hopeful smile.

"Oh? And how do you know that?" Asher asked with humored skepticism. "You didn't visit the place alone, did you?" It was very likely to be impossible for Leo to find his way there by himself. Someone must have come along.

Leo shook his head rapidly. "No, I was smart about that. Chase went with me." he said with a rather proud smile as he walked back toward the smell of food. "He didn't mind coming with me. Besides I couldn't figure out where the place was on my own. Are you hungry? They brought food into the room again."

"I guess some breakfast would be nice," Asher said. "So, what's for breakfast?" His eyes wandered and this time he spotted a pie slice that apparently was missing a piece. "You got hungry while I was asleep?"

Leo grumbled a little. "No...that was Lucky...AGAIN." Leo picked up one of the trays and slowly brought it to Asher's lap, being careful not to drop the tray of food. Leo brought the second tray to a counter next to Asher's bed and pulled up a chair to eat. "You don't have to eat that slice now if you don't want to. I'll get you a fresh slice." he said softly, opening his main entree and smelling eggs.

"Nah. I'll eat it. You brought it for me, right?" Asher said, taking the plate and trying the slice. "This is really good. A little on the sweet side, but still good." He set the plate aside to finish later, moving on to his tray of food. It looked like the generic breakfast food, though that wasn't a bad thing.

Leo smiled at the compliment. "Yeah, I wasn't sure what the other ingredient was that mom put in the pie. She always made it sweet and a little tart at the same time." He was glad his brother ate the pie anyways, though a little irritated that his opinion of the pie was exactly what Lucky had said earlier. Must have been coincidence. Leo continued to eat his eggs, also smelling something a bit spicy. He felt around the plate and found something soft. When he put it in his mouth he found it to be a sausage link. Leo munched on the link of meat happily, it had been a while since they had sausage.

"Yeah. She always made the best pies," Asher said. He wasn't sure what else to talk about except to ask if Leo had any other secrets. It seemed that the majority are out... or not. "Leo, out of curiosity, why did you readily agree to go live with my gramps? I thought you don't like him."

"Well....if you think about it, Daniel is a much better person than that stupid Lucky...who names their kid Lucky, anyways? Thats a name you give a dog or something." he said softly, eating a little bit of his eggs before speaking again. "Besides I figured he was family and our best bet for help. Seemed logical to me."

So, his grandfather's name was Daniel. Leo had mentioned that name when talking about the organization, too. "Am I right in guessing he's part of the organization? What ability does he have?" Asher asked, setting aside the now-empty tray and returning to eating the pie slice. In the meantime, he was amused at Leo's muttering about Lucky. It seems the kid really got on his brother's nerves.
