Regardless of squabbles and misunderstandings, a question posed to le non-mods: once we end the chapter, how big of a time skip would you like? I've got my plans, but considering that it is a guild-wide rp, and not just mine, anyone got plans or something as well? Or we just going to have to do this like last chapter and jump into the blind and stick with whatever's going down?

How much of a jump was last time again? Two months, right?

I'm fine with keeping to the same theme. Gotta do a few things before the skip, though...

If we do have another long skip like that, though, I would like it reflected more in our character's progression than last time. Isn't much use training for a few months if there is no result because of game mechanics...

On the same token though, it takes more than a few months to really master a brand new skill. It's not like you become an expert swordsman in just a two month window. If you'd like to consider the devil's advocate position, that is. Consider also the fact character progression is based more than just on "time", as well, and no one moderator gets to set the particular bar.
Something about the jedi classes in particular is also the fact that the higher up one is, the harder it will be to become the next rank; While it may seem logical at first to allow faster point progression, it also tends to make a person wonder if in the span of a single year, a person should go from padawan to knight templar, as well.
In other words, i suppose, "opinion noted, will consider".

I would be willing to push for 4-6 months. I have a few plans...
Skype, would you be intending on Khyber going out on his own, or stick a long side Caisar? I was thinking about bringing the fight to the Sith or at least counter-acting their tomb-raiding.
That being said, EK, whats your next plan for your Dark Lady?

I don't expect it to be too fast, just want to see some progression. Though, to be fair, last time my character had only just been introduced and has only been really busy this chapter.
@Des: Was planning on sticking with Caisar, if that's alright. Your plans sound similar enough to what I had in mind for the next chapter.
Also, did you just call me Skype? Lol...

Don't care how long the skip is, can work with just about anything. Just don't want it to happen for a while yet, got some things to do...

I am going to guess the time skip will happen after the party. So the time you have is probably going to be determined by how soon that gets over with.

Alright, that gives us a start on our planning ideas. Also, any critique on the system in place currently? I'd like some constructive criticism on this by the way, so if you don't like something about the game's rules or systems, I would like something more than, "i just don't like this", since that doesn't help any of the mods out when it hits the debate floor.
Preferably, if anyone wants to comment on another's idea, please speak up. If only a single person is disgruntled with this or that, then well, there's not much we can do about it.
And I imagine Skye would probably suggest something about the xp gain for jedi, but any other comments, questions, and concerns? I'm afraid the "next chapter" details won't net much results as we haven't really gone over it yet, but I'll do what I can to hopefully address concerns to my best abilities.

I've already said my thoughts on the system before, and it's not that big of a deal, so I can work with everything as it is.
As for the idea of time skip training stuff, it's a tough call, IMO. Some people can get a lot done in a month or 2, if they're training really hard the entire time. I'd likely say that's probably a case by case deal.

Theoretically one could sit and train hard during a month, but many jedi have duties outside of pure fighting and honing of skills as well. Unlike the Shadows or Guardians, whose duty is specifically titled towards handling explosive conflicts (be it sith or heavily armed factions, respectively), it is slowly getting us to the point where the weak are culling from the fields because they hone towards other places.
That, however, doesn't mean all jedi diplomats suddenly go into a one month super training course. I'm not suggesting that a player can't do that; rather, If we do make a lengthy time skip, I would hope that the people playing would consider giving enlightenment at least towards what happened in the time we left them to be.
We base a lot of point gain based on what is said in a chapter, what is done in a chapter. Basically, what is done on screen, not offscreen. However, that doesn't mean one cannot devote time to show other events. ^_^

Well, good to know you're keeping that in consideration.
