Malodore had stepped outside for a minute... well, for a few minutes. A bit of fresh air and silence was just the ticket - all the sound and light and crowding students were rather draining, but it was here for its friends, and for Riley. At least Hasuko had come out with it, and the two of them had enjoyed a companionable silence before the plague doctor excused itself to go back into the fray.
...
What.
What was happening.

"J-Junko?" It almost sounded like a whimper, although the ghoul's suggestion received a tilt of her head from her, "Oh...? Well... I would start but she's... Harassing my date and I'm sorry... I'm just not in the mood." She gave Junko's hand a squeeze and then pulled her in for a quick hug, "It's a good question though!"
In all the chaos, she had missed Mac called her name. Or rather, part of her name.
Releasing Junko, she returned to her seat. Hearing Mot's not so grumpy voice calmed her down, and she smiled, reaching over to give him a hug as well, "You feeling better makes me feel better too, yes..." Then, she paused, and lowered her voice, her tone one that clearly stated that she was amused, "Don't become one of them... A grumpy boil reaper, like Mac and Shun." She giggled, releasing him from the hug and sitting back in her chair with a small smile.

Riley released one arm to salute Mot sharply, and patted his shoulder. Good. That's more like it. If I see you frown again, you're fired.
Fired from what? Who could possibly know.
She tilted her head just slightly, catching a glimpse of Lizzy's upset expression, and wondered if she, too, needed a hug. Riley moved over to do just that when -
YAY MALODORE.
Lizzy was forgotten in the wake of the return of Malodore, and Riley scooped the plague doctor up instead. She still had the half of a brain left, and she offered it while holding on to Mal affectionately from behind.
Junko made lovely treats for me. Would you like to try?

Wait. Riley never left the table. Jericho blinked at this and turned back towards the table. Lo and behold.. the mindflayer was still there.
<..I went for a quick run>
Shifting a bit and now feeling more foolish, he just slowly sidled his way back towards the rest of the group. He was a little lost as to what was going on right now, but it seemed that there was a large variety of different emotions happening all at once.
--
Staring at Mitsu, Shun frowned before standing up.
"Let's go for a walk or something," he murmured. Having the girl being so distressed right now wouldn't do and getting away from the cause was likely the best way to deal with things. The reaper shot a glance to Xiu, not really caring or minding if she decided to come along. Right now, she seemed to be one of the more sensible ones that hadn't been spazzing or freaking out or SOMETHING around here.
Things seemed to be calming down a bit, but Shun still thought that moving away briefly might be a good idea.

"It's...interesting," She replied to Shun, trying to hide her smile, "It's not quite the Riley I'm used to seeing." Considering she was new, the only other time she remembered meeting Riley was during the prom committee and at that point...she had been a little frightened of her. The mindflayer had come off as so elegant and responsible. Seeing another side of her that emerged when she had sugar was...kind of relieving, really.
Before she could comment on this, she was made even more aware of the fact that Mitsu was confused and distressed. Stooping down, she slipped an arm around the ghoul's shoulder so that she could give her a one-armed hug. "Mitsu, try to calm down, okay? It's fine! Everything is fine now, see?" She gestured to Mot, who seemed to have recovered slightly, and then to Lizzy as she sat back down.
"Just take a deep breath and try to relax!" She perked up a bit at Shun's suggestion before nodding at the lupine with encouragement. "That sounds like a good idea! Should I leave you two to it then?"

YAY MALODORE.
It was like a party. A sugar sparkle rainbow party. IN ITS BRAIN.
Malodore was easily bowled over as Riley scooped it up. "Ah, buona sera, mia cara," it managed, trying to tilt its head towards her tentacles enough to check the tips for tell-tale candy powder.

Joachim stopped paying attention really where was dancing and found himself drifting closer to the edge where the tables where. Merel had noticed but it was a little too late, snagging the edge of a chair the reaper managed to stumble grabbing the edge of the table pulling the cloth on top down. One of the cups that was full on the far end turned on its side and spilled across the table and onto the floor.
Jack damn it, he whispered under his voice as he looked at the mess he made. Luckily it wasn't very loud nor did he land (well not yet) on the floor and no one really noticed however what he could hear was Merel making a noise that resembled a laugh. His face was flushed red, about the same colored it had been when Taryn slow dance across the floor with him.
He picked up the cup before looking around for something to soak up the punch off the floor before he or anyone else slipped on it.

There could not be a Junko post here, because Eight died laughing at Malodore.

One moment Danny had been with Roch, cutting a rug, dancing the night away, and now she was alone.
Jackdammit.
Still, it was nice to have some alone time to take in the ... promminess of prom. She sat down for a moment to revel in all the lights, slot machine sounds and couples awkwardly or comfortably shuffling with each other. That ... Riley girl seemed to be starting a commotion, but it just looked like they were having fun, so Danny didn't interrupt. In fact, she was more happy about the fact that she got Riley's name right.
Still, sitting down was boring. She stood up and went to play the slots for a while, winning herself quite a few chips. Eventually her stomach rumbled again and she departed for the snack table.
Just where had that stupid Roch gone?

Woah. Two girls one Mot.
Hot.
His blush deepened and he tipped his hat to Riley, staring at the ground. "Right, right." He smiled shyly. No more frowns.
He leaned in as Lizzy gave him important advice about steering clear of the grump reaper stereotype. He laughed a bit, and nodded his head. "You got it, Liz."

As Xui came in to give her a half hug Mitsu huddled in close like she was trying to hide. She was a little rattled by all the energy going on in the room at the moment, feeling the emotions pouring off of people. It was a relief to hear Shun's suggestion. "Y..yes, a break sounds good." Mitsu nodded to Xui before she stood from her seat.
Quickly the wolf girl fell into step beside Shun, her hand reaching to take hold of his sleeve. She had taken this up a fair amount during this event and even now that she realized it couldn't prevent herself from doing it. "W-where are we going?"

Mac strummed his fingers on his stomach, watching the show of everyone and their dates from his lonely, lonely seat. Though he had shuffled said seat in closer, he really couldn't feel like part of the group; the only person he had interest in talking to or making feel better right now was distracted and hanging over her own date, so...well, he probably wasn't needed right now, right?
Mot looked and sounded a lot better and Mac raised a brow; perhaps this was his chance to lean in try to ask Lizzy to dance again?
He thought about it, and finally did get up; to leave the table and to cross the room, looking to get something to eat for the first time that night. On the way there, he spotted Joachim, who had just recovered from the spill.
"Whoa, you okay there m---" Miss? Mr? Errr... "...Buddy?"

"Up to you," mumbled Shun in response to Xiu before glancing towards Mitsu as she had taken a hold of his sleeve. She had been doing that a fair amount today, though he supposed it was a result of her nerves.
"Anywhere but here," he said as he started to walk off with her at his side. The reaper glanced towards the baku briefly, then continued on. He really didn't have a specific destination in mind, so he was looking around to see where they could go exactly. He supposed they could just wander around for a little while before returning to the table.

There was a tiny tug on Junko's dress. A sharply dressed Cthulhu seemed to be behind her, with it's hands held demurely behind it, and it's tiny little webbed feet digging into the ground shyly.
It held it's little hand out at her, and gestured with it's giant bulbous head towards the dance floor.

Like a little duckling Mitsu fell in step behind the reaper, doing her best to stay calm. Being in a social situation, especially a large social situation, was still rather new and overwhelming. Looking back for a moment it seemed like Xui was staying put. Hopefully Mitsu would be back to see her later after she had time to calm down and rest her brain.
"It's certainly something..." Mitsu mumbled coming up a little closer to Shun. "I wonder if dances are always like this." And it was strange to see this different side of Riley, not that Mitsu knew her well.
