Ivan Van Veen "In my experience, if I can cut it, I can kill it. Why would I want to kill something easy? I do that to pay the bills, and only if there is no one more interesting to take care of."
Van shrugged easily, full well knowing that words were just that: words. Words are wind with no meaning unless we give it to them. He stepped into his boots and laced them up quickly and then he was ready to go, much like his little demon friend. 'And if I want you to be around? To save my a**?' He smiled.
"No demons around? Damn. That might've been fun."

Liana
She scoffed and shook her head back and forth "As if I'm really going to tell you if there is a demon around us or not" she told him. "Sure you can always tell me I need to tell you but then it also conflicts with me having to protect you and if I know you'll cause yourself to be in trouble or get hurt then I don't need to tell you" she said her face looked a little smug.
"Plus they are like my non related family though I haven't met them all we can hate each other or get along civilly it just depends on if we try to piss each other off or not"

Ivan Van Veen “Hey, I can try, right?”
Van shrugged. He was not liking the way Liana was smirking, but what was he to do? Order her to keep her face blank the entire time they were together? Even I’m not that mean. Well, he usually wasn’t.
“Do you ever try to make each angry on purpose? If so, why?”

"Well I don't try to piss any of the other demons off" she told him as she shrugged her shoulders at him.
"But you know sometimes when one of us is near another we can't help but try and mess with one another since usually fighting with another one of our kind can leave to major destruction to everything around us" she said and smiled.

Ivan Van Veen"You're just like the Greek gods, aren't you? Except more directly destructive to the human race. They were your average dysfunctional family...except with the power to rip the galaxy apart by the seams. The only thing is, for whatever reason, they tried to get the majority of humanity out of the way, when they easily could've just fought between each other on Earth, or some other planet."
Van shook his head lightly. Figures. But at least this one is on my side. He checked the time, only to find that he was running a little late; he needed to see if Vitoly would be back at the corner, again, now that Van would be "alone." That boy gets spooked too easily.
"Anyway, if you need help carrying bags, don't hire a boy. Call a cab, or me, and do it that way. Kids off the street now days are a liable to run off on you as they are to stabbing you. Sad, but truth."

Liana
Lia just nodded her head as she watched him getting ready to leave. "If any boy would be stupid enough to do that to me" she said but of course no boy would know what she was and probably actually try to do something like that. "But I will call you if I need help" she said.
She smiled as she thought of something and came up to him giving him a kiss on his cheek "Have a good day at work dear" she said before giving out a chuckle and moving away from him.

Ivan Van Veen"Thank you, I think."
Van gave Lia a bemused look over his shoulder and he left his bedroom. He threw the bolts back and disappeared out into the hall. He ignored the door guard (a new face today) and started off towards the neutral zone. Van began to whistle a cheery and catchy little war tune; he was in a good mood today. He wondered if it was Liana and surmised it to be so. It was the only new variable in his life.

Liana
Lia just nodded as she finished and then made her way out of the room. When she exited the apartment she closed and locked the door before she made her way down the steps. Seeing the new door guard she looked at him as he looked almost puzzled never seeing her before but she just winked as she walked out of the room.
Once there she made her way to one of the banks and actually was fortunate enough to find the one bank had an account of hers in. Lia went up and was able to cash some money out of it having her account number mesmerized they handed her the wad of cash and she walked out to do her shopping.

Ivan Van VeenIt was coming close to eleven o'clock by the time Van spotted Vitoly finally weaving his way through the crowds to him. He was a busy little body these days; scrawny, like he never got enough to ate, and he definitely did too much coke (Van could see white edging around one of Vitoly's nostrils) but as odd a bloke he was, Vitoly was set apart from the rest of the population by a queer little factoid: he had college. A master's degree in something or other, what exactly, Van could never remember.
"Kak dela, drug? How are you, brother?"
"You know. Same s**t as yesterday, and it'll probably be the same s**t as tomorrow."
Vitoly sniffed, and rubbed at his nose, wiping away the filigree of cocaine decorating it. He seemed on edge today, edgier then he usually was. If he was stuck with the little man for much longer, Van was certain he would start to absorb some that edge. Must get this with over as soon as possible.
"You're very depressing."
"Just speaking the truth, drug. Who was the strumpet you were with yesterday? She's pretty, for a whore."
Van didn't bother to correct him. It would've been too much trouble and a lie to boot. No honor to defend with her. Sorry, demon; I doubt she has any left. He gestured at Vitoly to get on with it, so he could have the rest of the day to himself.

Liana
Lia got a cab and told the driver to take her to the nicest store around here. He drove for a little while and finally pulled over to a store. Lia looked at it and saw it actually was very nice as she paid him the money and got out. Walking away as she went into the store.
Their was a few customers in the store as some glanced over just on instinct and then a clerk came over obvious being able o tell she was a new customer. "Hi how can I help you?" she asked her.
"Yeah I want to buy some nice clothes" 'Obviously' she thought to herself and pulled out the massive wad of cash "And lots of them" she said and grinned.
The ladies eyes widened when she saw the money and then a big smile came on her face "Well you definetly came to the right place, come with me and we'll set you up in a dressing room where you can try clothes on" she said to her directing her to follow and waved another clerk over to come help her.

Ivan Van VeenIt was getting late on into the the evening by the time Van could finally shake off his erstwhile companion. He sighed tiredly and grabbed a bite to eat before trudging to apartment, thinking of how nice it'd be to kick back and enjoy some hard-earned hours wasted on a television, a beer, and a couch. Woman dream of bubble-baths, men dream of beer and woman in bubble-baths.

Liana
Liana went out of the dressing room after every outfit she put on as the ladies nodded there heads "My gosh they all look good on you" she gushed "And I'm saying this with sincerity" she added. Liana just shrugged her shoulders as she tried out clothes and outfits after outfits.
She bought a good deal of things but not too much that she would need help bringing them in. She got a taxi and left the place leaving the clerks very happy women as she got into the taxi. Getting back to the apartment Lia truded upstars before getting into the door where she saw Van already sitting down. She closed the door with her foot and set the bags down on his floor as she sighed out "I hate shopping but also love the attention" she said as she walked over and peered over his shoulder "So did you have a fun day?" she asked and grinned.

Ivan Van Veen 'My own little attention whore. Classy.' Van stifled a yawn, not meaning to project his thoughts; he still hadn't gotten a hang of the mental communication thing. He tilted his head back to watch Liana swirl on by in a cloud of perfume and self-importance. He tapped off the the growing end of ash off of his Lucky Strike and rested the cigarette on the edge of empty can of soda serving as his ashtray.
"Fun enough. I think you're a good luck charm; Vitoly only tried to kill me once, and even then, it was badly done. Thank you, I think."
He slid over on the couch, giving Liana plenty of room to join him, if she so wished to do so. He didn't care either way. As an afterthought, Van grabbed the remote and muted the television's volume, as a polite gesture towards his little demon.

Liana
She walked over and plopped down on the couch "You're welcome" she said "I think" she mocked him a little as she leaned over and she laid flat on her stomach her her arms and head rested on his thigh farthest from her. Her arms on his thigh then her head rested on top of her crossed arms.
"Mmm your warm" she commented which was the truth she could feel how warm he was through the fabric of his pants.

Ivan Van Veen"You were right before when you said you wouldn't need blankets to sleep; you're like a damned radiator. Luckily for you, I don't mind being hot."
Van shrugged. He returned the television to sound, albiet, it was low. It was some programe about a child on the "wrong" side of the train tracks getting into trouble and somehow finding his way back out of it. It was boring, but it was better then the news; he found the news to be repetitive and dull. If he wanted gang violence and drug cartells, he'd go for a drive.
"Get anything good? From the stores today?"
