"I don't have paperwork." The man replied happy that he was able to sell her. "what do you need to know?" He asked a little agitated. He wanted this to go as quickly as possible. The girl once again pulled against the chain just to irritate him more which resulted in her hair being pulled harder and a muffled protest.

Jay's eyes narrowed slightly in annoyance and sighed. "It's fine. I'll find it out myself..." He set the pen down and pulled out a small silver case. "Take your money and leave my shop. And next time you come with a pet to sell you better treat it as a presious stone. I probably would be more inclined to give you more for one treated kindly. Even if he or she is a pain to handle..." Jay stood up and shoved the case into the man's arms and took the chain. He then swiftly smacked the man's hand so hard he was forced to release the girl's hair. "And you should never hold a pet in such a way... It would and could cause damage to them." He growled at the man, "Now take your money and get out of my shop." Jay's pupils shrank into a slit as he looked at the man and held the girls chain.

The man left angrily and the girl looked up at Jay. Finally someone put that b*****d in his place. She thought waiting the gag and possibly the chains to be removed. He seems nice but I've got to get out of here. She didn't know how yet but there had to be a way to escape.

The girl was shocked. Someone was actually being nice to her. She rubbed her aching wrists and wiped her mouth. He's right. If I leave now I'll just be in the same situation. And it is very nice here. She thought looking around the cage and feeling the soft pillow beneath her. As long as she had been captured she had never been treated like this. Like she was worth something. But if I stay here I'll just be bought again. Course it wouldn't hurt to stay here for a little while. She looked at Jay through the bars of the cage and spoke for the first time in days. "Thank you."

Jay smiled a warm and gentle smile as he bowed his head to her, "You are very welcome Miss....?" Jay looked at her hoping she would fill in the blank.

Kei leaned against James as she cradled Julian and grace humming softly to the small infants as they left the store "poor girl...." she murmured as she paused at the limo door and looked at James and Aaron waiting for one of them to open the door since her arms were full "thank you two....for everything" she said blushing alittle.

James smiled and kissed the top of Kie's head as the limo pulled up to the shop. "You're very welcome my love..." He said softly and stroked her face. "Come along... Let's get these little one's home."
Aaron nodded in agreement and then looked at James and Kie, "And when they are settled down I can teach you two the ways of Soul Bonding." He said opening the limo door for the two of them.

"Maria. My name is Maria." She replied still not used to being treated like a person. "Do you sell pets to assholes like him?" She asked wondering if a shop was different to the auction she was sold in last time. Maria averted her gaze back to the shop looking around more. The only person she had seen since she was taken from the man's house was Jay, and there didn't appear to be anyone else in the shop at the moment. At least not outside the cages.

"Well it is a pleasure to meet you Maria..." Jay said as he began filling in her paperwork. "I usually try to get companions into homes that they will be well treated but there are those few cases that I am forced to send them with Masters that are 'a** holes'." He said looking up at her with his glasses sitting on the brige of his nose. "Now then. Might I ask when you were born?" Jay could have easily invaded her mind with his aura but he prefered to get to know those in his shop.

"July 18th. I'm currently 21. You do the math." Maria answered now looking at the floor. Holidays and anniversaries were hard for her to remember. Not in the sense of keeping the date, but being forced to relive memories of her family. Everything she once had. She wondered what other questions he would ask, understanding it was for paperwork but there were dark things in her past. Things she wasn't proud of but were necessary.

Jay couldn't help but chuckle at her comment. "Very well so July 18th 1989 it is then." He said warmly and wrote it down in the paperwork. He took notes of her actions and of her attitude towards others. "I don't mean to poke and prode but is there anything I or anyone else should know about you...?" He asked looking down at her with concerned eyes.

Continuing to look at the floor Maria took a deep breath and spoke slowly. "I've killed a man." Maybe she shouldn't have just told him this, but something in her told her that it would just be easier if she told the truth. "It's not like he didn't deserve it. And I needed to get free. Lot a good that did me." She sighed and waited for him to stop being nice. They all did after they found out how stubborn she was.

Jay simply nodded and made several notes. "Well... Just know you are not the only one in this room that has blood on their hands." he said softly as he finished filling out her paperwork. Once it was filled out he placed it in his black binder and tucked it away in one of the drawers. Once inside he closed the drawr and locked it. "Now that that's filled out what would you like to eat?" He asked gently and smiled down at her. "I can make almost anything. I just can't make any fancy eggs..." Jay said with a disappointed look, "I just can't work that yoke... They always end up being scrambled." He let out a warm chuckle and smiled at Maria.

Maria looked up at him confuzed but smiled back. "Anything would be great." She said still surprised by his kindness. Soak it up while you can Maria but don't get used to it. She told herself, making a mental note at where she was. In a cage, waiting to be bought. At least she wasn't the only one who, as Jay had put it, had blood on their hands.
