Morquka smiled, "Thank you gentlemen," And then he entered. Rorque stayed behind for a moment and removed his sword and it's sheath from his back. He gave it to one of them; saying, "I'll be expecting that back when we leave." And then he followed his brother to the front desk. Morquka spoke upon reaching the front desk, "Hello Again."

Edmond had grown cautious of the guard standing outside the door but it was only because of certain experiences he often had. He realized this so he did not act. The problem with waiting was the suspense. It continued to build as time passed because more variables came into play. Emily could go for the office two early or the guards could discover something wrong with his background check upon a second glance. They could probably just decide to take his diamonds and try to kill him, which was something he highly doubted. From what he had seen Cobblepot was a man of business, and he was good. All these precautions made it hard to pin anything on him, Edmond would even respect Cobblepot if it wasn't illegal. However once this was all done he would have enough to make a case against Cobblepot. A weak case, but a case he could win. Unfortunately it was also a case he would not pursue until Emily decided she didn't need this job. IT was not his fault that he though like this, he was a lawyer and a vigilante, it just sorta happens.

The man took the sword, then flashed an uneasy look to his colleague. The two men watched the customers walk inside, and then turned back to do their job. Inside, the man at the desk glanced from Morquka to his brother. "Ah... welcome back sir. Have you come back to see the boss, or are you here to dine again?" he asked.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 01, 2013 8:46 pm

"To Dine. Though If your Boss would like to see us, I would not deny them a meeting." "Nor would I." The two brothers said. They stood patiently and waited. Morquka had no doubt this would be an interesting experience. Rorque on the other hand was curious, mostly about what kind of stone humans could make from a variety of stones and salt. It sounded intrigueing to him, and the idea was most appetizing.

Fortunately, Edmond soon recieved a message from Emily that would set his mind at ease that she wasn't about to be caught just yet.

Quote:

Title: Traffic
From: P1nK_3pY
Message: Done at home. On my way to work now. Might take me a while with traffic. I'll message you when I get there.

To anyone that seen it, it should only look like someone informing him that they were leaving home. To Edmond, it was a message that she was just leaving her home now. So it was fortunate that Cobblepot was still in a meeting. Though, it didn't help Edmond's anxiety with waiting.

Edmond heard the familiar beep that pulled him from his deep thinking. He took out his phone and read the message then put his phone away. He was relieved that the timeline for their plan was still in order. Her traffic was compensated for by his wait which did make it slightly less bothersome. He had a little regret for not taking a drink earlier but it quickly faded when his phone beeped a second time. However this message was not from Emily. It was from one of Edmond co-workers. The message was concerning a case they were working on that had now evidently been shut down. The man they were defending had been found dead in his cell with a broken spoon in his neck. The Count cursed under his breath and put the phone away knowing full well who had killed the man yet he had no proof of it. This had been occurring every now and then for the last two months since he came to gotham, someone was screwing with him and he knew it. Putting a golden case in front of him, one that could easily be won, and then taking it away. Only now it was affecting his mindset when meeting Cobblepot, it was a problem he would need to deal with soon.

The guard continued to linger outside Edmond's VIP room. Silent, half ignoring the customer, satisfying himself with glancing back and forth down the hall from time to time. This could be a long wait... and from the looks of the guard, it was going to be an eventless wait.

"Well, the boss currently has several meetings tonight. I'm afraid he probably will not be coming down to the Lounge to socialize for some time yet." the attendant replied, moving to get something from under the counter in front of him. Carefully, he pulled out a small device that looked similar to a pager, and slid the back half of it out. He punched a few of the buttons, then slid the device back under the counter.

"I'll have the woman who waited on you come down to attend to you again. If that is alright with you." the man said.

The brother's listened to the man's words and nodded in understanding. Morquka smiled, "I would expect no other. Deb Is a polite young woman, and seems to have nerves of steel. Both of which are traits to be held in high regard."

Rorque remained quiet and waited patiently.

A few moments later, the woman who had waited on Morquka earlier came walking up to the front desk. Her expression almost as surprised as the two guards outside. "That was quick... did you forget something, sir?" she asked.

"These men would like to dine again." the man replied.

Deb blinked again. "Oh. My, we don't usually have customers come by this quickly. Would you like the same booth upstairs?" she asked.

============================================

As Edmond waited in the VIP room, a door opened not far down the hall, and a pair of high heels quickly tromped their way down the hall. A woman, dressed in the same fashion Emily had been when she left the Lounge, walked straight up to the guard.

"Has 'dat guy come outta' the room upstairs yet?" she asked.

"Boss's current meeting? No." the man replied.

"No, no, no. I mean the guy 'dat sent Honey out of here wit' the busted back. You seen 'dat, right?"

The guard grunted and glanced at the room behind him. The waitress waved a hand at Edmond dismissively. "Oh, what does he care. We don't mind him, he shouldn't mind us. I mean it though, is 'dat guy still up there all occupado?"

The guard sighed. "None of us have seen him come down since he followed Honey up." he replied.

"I heard he went into Natalia's room and hasn't come out since. Honey went in and came back out lookin like that! She never gets hurt 'dat bad."

"Oh, come on. What makes you think a customer did that and not Natalia? You know how that crazy chick gets."

"Nah, Honey could knock her into next tuesday before she'd get a good hit in. Had to be 'da guy."

I am fine with waiting if I have to. The character is not patient, I am.

Edmond overheard what the two were talking about. As Eric he looked scruffy enough to have been in quite a few fights and he even appeared to be missing an eye so if he said anything he figured they wouldn't mind. He waited until the girl applied her logic before he stood and walked over to the door, sticking his head out.
"Not exactly, in a fight there are a few things you watch out for, one of them is your surroundings. Your friends could have engaged in a fight and whoever the customer is may have distracted 'Honey'. That would give your other friend, what was her name... Natalia! That would have given her the perfect chance to hit someone in the back. If it was cut up and bleeding the odds are this Natalia smashed a mirror on Honey when she was distracted."

Edmond smiled after saying what he had. He knew it to be a lie but they would not. He had applied logic to a scenario that others would not so it seemed more likely. The only reason he was lying is because if he had figured Emily wanted people looking in on what happened and talking about it, she would not have tried to leave so discreetly. Then he added a little more to confuse the two.
"Keeping in mind it could have been a cheap shot you should also consider that is may not have been a fight at all. They could have both been providing a little 'extra' service when they bumped into something and it fell on Honey." Edmond liked screwing with people less intelligent with him but he was careful because in this case he knew what had happened.

Alright, just wanted to make sure you didn't feel stuck or anything.

The guard turned back and listened to Edmond. His posture and expression didn't seem to change. Was possible the guy didn't have any physical emotional display other than serious. The girl on the other hand seemed to be nothing but emotional based. The guard opened his mouth to add to the conversation of fighting, but the woman spoke up first.

"Extra service? From Emily?!" she exclaimed, as though the very idea of the woman doing something like that was ridiculous. "Oh, no. Honey doesn't do that. She doesn't even flirt with the boss let alone a customer. NATALIA on the other hand... well she's probably giving the guy all the extra service he can handle if he's still up in the private room." she said. She also seemed to be all about gossip.

The guard scoffed. "Ya have a point. Honey breaks men, not.... that. And she certainly doesn't seem like the type that would be into what Natalia is."

"Oh, but what if they guy wanted her to? Like her specifically?"

"Pfft. She'd bust him and get chewed out about it first. Besides... the way she acts when she is flirted with or hit on? I don't think she's "experienced" enough to go along with any extra service work other than throwing rude customers out the door for us." the guard replied. Then paused a moment. "Still... if it was a cheap shot, she would have HAD to have been distracted. She's way too good at hand to hand to have been ganged up on or anything."

"Well then the odds are that Natalia was flirting with the customer, Emily walked in on them. that probably made Natalia angry, so she probably started throwing a fit. The customer would have tired to get Emily out and in her anger Natalia probably attacked Emily with something, just before Emily could react." Edmond smiled at the two of them after his lie. Then the Count laughed a little, not an honest laugh but still a laugh. "And keeping everything possible the man could have been a real smooth talker, never assume to know what someone will do until you really know that person. It is always the quiet ones who get freaky."

The waitress's eyes grew wide at Edmond's last statement. Again, the guard opened his mouth to say something, but the woman cut him off. "Oh!" she exclaimed, then turned towards the guard. "You don't think... Oh! Oh, that could have happened! He was here just last night. I seen him! Rebecca was waiting on him, and then she walked out the door with him right after her shift. All wrapped around his arm! He had her sit with him in the booth he was at to talk with him while he was eating after he met with the boss."

"Oh, come on. It makes more sense for Natalia to have sucker punched her when she wasn't looking." the guard sighed.

"She still could have done that! If Rebecca went home with him, and he's still up in the room with Natalia, he could have tried flirting with Emily! Did enough to make Emily feel like flirting back. Or worse!"

"And what? Natalia got jealous?"

"Well definitely if he had a nice sized-"

"I hope you're about to say wallet..." the guard growled.

"I have always found that a combination of both was best." Edmond interjected knowing what the girl was about to say, and what the man wanted her to say. Edmond smiled slightly after he said that and then shrugged. "The trouble was when they found out how you make your money. So, that's settled. Well, not really." Edmond shrugged and returned to his chair in the back of his room.

As Edmond walked away, the girl turned and muttered something to the guard. The guard muttered something back to her, his tone annoyed. "Well, whatever. I'll ask when she comes back into work. She's at least one of the nicer girls here." she said, then flipped her hair back and moved into the room after Edmond.

"He didn't need anything..." the guard grumbled.

"Well that was earlier..." the woman said, stopping half way in the room. "Might as well check and see if you want anything to eat or drink while I'm back here." she said, giving their guest a small smile.
