Saito who was still slightly out of the conversation up to this point, was now completely confused.
"Wait...the guy who wants you dead...Is your brother?"
What Saito didn't realise was that even if he was totally serious he looked completely silly because he was still poking the barrier like a child playing with his new toy.

"Yeah, you should see the family reunions anymore" Lina tried to joke, deciding the matter should have waited till after dealing with Saito. Her calculating mind however still went off on a tangent. It glanced through her family ties and wondered if any member of her family wasn't just going to try to kill her on sight anymore. She half expected to see her ancestors coming from the dead next.

Saito chuckled before realizing he shouldn't of even smiled, at which point he looked uneasy.
"So, uh... are there any prerequisites to becoming a student here? Any fees to pay? Or I don't know... admission rules I should know of?"
Saito's eyes jumped between the two of them not sure who he'd intended the question to nor who would answer him.

"There's no prerequisites, and certainly no fees. Here, you train in the use of your choice of element. I will say, though, I don't tolerate people with bad intentions. If you train here, and you end up siding with the wrong person or have a questionable mission in life, I'll make sure you no longer receive instruction. We are ninja, so we don't always get to solve problems in savory ways, but we are still good people."
Iri says all this as she stares off in what seems to be no particular direction. In reality, she's staring in the direction of the Radiance. There's something she needs to do. It just occurred to her. It's not gonna be easy, and it's not gonna be pleasant, but it's necessary. And it's gonna make her life a lot easier.
"So, out of wind, fire, water, earth, and lightning, which element do you prefer?"

Saito's head tilted off to the side as he made his decision as to which element to learn. It made him look quite silly but he was too busy thinking to notice.
"Hmm, it's a hard choice but... I think I'll choose Earth!"
Saito seemed content with his choice and yet part of him still couldn't believe all of this was real.

Ookamimaru felt sick when he felt the dark energy creeping to his hands again. They turned into their original shade of grey, and black claws grew back where the nails had been. It felt though, as if the energy was going even further than normal, due to the lack of bright energy left in his body. A layer of callus started to form on the palm of his hands and on the fingers, as if they where pads and a minuscule layer of fur was now growing all over his body, giving his skin a shiny look.
Ookamimaru faltered as the black energy was spreading in his body and even invaded his mind. It didn’t seem though, that Tobu was trying to take over, the black energy simply filled spaces where the bright energy had been. The energy increased the instinct of the boy, and Ookamimaru immediately thought about one thing, food. When the black energy energy had stopped creeping in his body, he was somewhat able to move again -though he still was dizzy and rather confused- and he headed in the woods with a walk that looked most like the walk of a drunk. When someone would look in his eyes, he would see that they where glassy.

Ookamimaru lay in bed. He didn't feel like coming out of it any time soon. though he had one problem: he had to pee. After some time, the urge to relieve his bladder had got stonger than the one to stay in bed, so he sat upright and put his feet on the floor. It felt rough. Ookamimaru looked at the two human feet that were his own. The pinkish skin was free of callus and looked perfectly normal. He sighed when he got up, carfully putting one foot after another while he hauled himself to the bathroom. A human hand rubbed the sleep out of his eyes while doing so. The touch of the soft hands on normal skin made him shiver.
After he had done his thing, he looked at himself in the bathroom mirror. Even though he had an idea what he would see, the figure on the other side startled him.
He was looking in the eyes of a pale, feeble-looking child. His wild, black manes were now a pale blonde color, and they hung in sleek strands down his head. His eyes, which he now could see in color, were an undefined color between grey and blue and were framed by bags. His ears were those of a normal human and his tail had disappeared. When he pulled his face to a grimace, he could see that his canines were of normal size. He had simply turned to his human self, while Tobu had retracted deeply into his consciousness. Even his senses weren't those of a canine any more. He couldn't smell who had been in the bathroom before him, he couldn't hear what was going on in the rest of the building, he wouldn't be able to taste weird flavours in his food or see in the dark.
All that gave him a feeling of blindness, weakness and he disgusted himself. Oh, how he hated new moon. He turned away from the mirror and went back to his chamber.
Even though he wanted this day to over as quick as possible, he knew that he wouldn’t be able to sleep any more. He put on his trousers, scarf and arm warmers, and noticed that he had way too cold without the little layer of fur on his back and arms. He then checked the bandages on his arm and legs. The wounds were practically healed during the last two weeks, though it would take quite some time till the scarring would dissapear. The burn on his back didn’t require a bandage any more, and he decided to let the one on his arm off too. The ones on his feet he kept purely to protect is now vulnerable feet. As a last thing he attached the bone scythe to his back with leather straps. A few days before he had gone to the Rai dojo to fetch it. He felt a little safer with it now his fangs and claws were gone.
He went outside the dojo to get some air. He had always found it strange that there weren’t any windows in the Kaze dojo. He sat at the door and looked at the world. A rare tractation to him to see it with human eyes, coloured. The blue of the sky, the green of the trees and the grass. It was very relaxing. He closed his eyes and bathed his pale skin in the sun for a while, until he noticed the light was fading. He opened his eyes again to see the sun disappear. Immediately, Ookamimaru jolted on his feet ready for action, but he didn’t know what to do next. Why is the sun disappearing? What’s happening? He dispaired and started walking in circles, not knowing what to do.

Ookamimaru stood staring at the eclipse as he saw the last bits of sun dissapear, bewildered. He felt an extreme loss as the world was engulfed by darkness, as if it was a moonless night. The sun had gone, just like that, and there was nothing he could do about it. Shivers ran down his spine and he had to swallow to keep himself steady.
It was because he was so distracted by the eclipse, and because he had no animalistic instincts or senses due to new moon that he didn't notice what was going on a couple of miles away.

Only four birds had come to survey the Kaze Dojo. Their master was hoping to avoid angering the wind master just yet. Their goal simply scouting, though several seemed to think a snack wouldn't be breaking from the command as the birds searched the grounds, only noticing one presence so far.

Ookamimaru was still looking at the spot where the sun had dissapeared when he heard the flappering of wings coming from behind. He turned to look what was going on and could just barely dodge the crows by ducking.
A little confused he looked at the creatures. He could be mistaking -being able to see colours only once a month- but he had never seen crows with green eyes. Besides, he knew very well that crows didn't attack people unless they are a threat to their young.
He detached the leather straps and took the scythe off his back. He cursed that all this had to be happening at new moon, when he lost his animalistic powers, though he was happy that he at least got his scythe with him.
He went to stand in a position that was easy for him to jump away or attack and held the scythe at the ready for when the crows would dive at him again.

Three of the birds started flying towards Ooka, none of these birds seemed to display the speed of their comrades, though their attacking patterns were far less suicidal. They moved forward attempting to peck and claw at Ookamaru. Acting for all intents and purposes like starved birds trying to steal food away from another.

Ookamimaru jumped up and lunged for the crow closest to him. If his estimation was correct, the scythe would cut the crow in half from the shoulder to the hip. With the momentum created, he would turn round and try to hit a second one.

The bird was cut in half just as Ooka would expect, and while it didn't explode it still released a small spray of putrid green ichor that seemed to burn. The other birds seemed to hesitate at the loss of one of their comrades, trying to get some distance.

Ookamimaru looked at where the Ichor hat hit the ground. It made a weird sizzling noise. Acid? Those crows weren't normal, that's for sure. He mowed in the air with his scythe to try and get some more. His intentions to just shoo them away had faded now he knew they weren't just hungry animals.

One of the birds turned and started to attack, catching the scythe with it's talons. The bird didn't receive any injuries even though it gripped the scythe's blade, but at the same time all it could do was use it's wings in a futile attempt to try and pull the scythe from Ooka while it's comrade retreated to a higher altitude.
