"Only if we rock it hard back and forth." He laughed, hugging her tightly as he closed his eyes. "Dont worry...I wont let you go..." He promise softly though felt there was more meaning to them besides falling off the hammock.

She did think of it as more than just falling off the hammock. Lorey cuddled and tucked herself between him and the folded side, closing her eyes and loving the gentle rocking they had going.
"Did I tell you that you smell very nice? Different, but nice..."

Richard smiled, nuzzling the top of her head. "No, but did I ever tell you how I can get high just by the smell of your hair? It's intoxicating..." He replied softly, taking a deep breath to take in that lovely smell.
And at that moment, everything was right in the world. The sun was shining between the green of the leaves, Richard was full and happy, and he had his love in his arms. He tried to fight sleep, but everything was jsut so peaceful...

Lorey didn't fight sleep. It came to her anyhow. As she relaxed, her muscles unwound themselves and made her back audibly pop. It hurt for a moment, but everything eased back into being normal, and Lorey was alright all over.
She was warm, had her Richard, and a full stomach. Nothing else could make her happier, it seemed.

Some time passed and all was quiet in the house. The only thing daring to interupt it, was the click of the door.
Raquel entered, with only a small shopping bag in one hand, her own bag in the other. She was drained, and still flustered from her meeting with Nat, her make up still a little smudged.
There was still so much she wanted to talk to him about. About how she was thinking of going to school again, about her art, her love of reading and her wonderful life with Damian...
But she knew he didn't want to hear about him for awhile. So she'd let him be. For now though, she just needed to see her love.
She came out to find him on his computer. She dropped her bags, coming up to him quickly, turning him around in his chair. Without a word, she took his face and kissed him deeply, letting it linger longer than normal.

Damian had been checking up on his stocks, and was glad to see everything had stayed where it should. He was even making money with a few, to his even more pleasant surprise.
But once his chair was turning on its own, he had no time before a pair of lips stole the noise from him, as well as his breath. Raquel. It could only be Raquel.
As she pulled away, Damian's hands moved to hers.
"Hello..." he said, rather breathlessly. "How was your day?"

She fought the urge to just kiss him again as she pressed her nose to his. "Fine, Oh- I actually wanted to show you something..." She reluctantly let him go to reach into her shopping bag. "A friend of mine works in this shop downtown...she said I could try these out fora few days before I bought them...to see if they would work." She slipped on a pair of simple, brown and green reading glasses. "I can get different frames if you don't like these..." she explained as she modeled them off. "Or if these aren't too expensive... I wasn't sure what to get, but wanted to surprise you..." Even htough that was silly. The glasses were for her. But if Damian didn't like how they looked, she'd run to get a different pair.

"Raquel, you don't need my approval to get these things... I you like the way they look on you, then that's that."
It was becoming tiresome to always have to be asked for approval. Why didn't she believe herself to be the person with the last say on these things? She was wearing them, not him.
"I do think you look like you belong in some classy environment, answering musical questions and debating with a snob on music theory, though." He reached out again to touch her hand. It was good to have her back after a long day of straining his eyes at the computer screen.

She smiled, her green eyes reflecting off the green in the glasses, making them even brighter. "Well maybe I'll get there someday..." She sighed, sitting herself gently on his lap. "I forgot to ask, how was your day love? I missed you terribly..." She sighed, kissing his jawline.

"I missed you, too. My day was just checking on things, a few meetings, getting your surprise ready..."
He said the last bit so casually that he hardly made it sound surprising at all. "Nothing truly tiring. How was Nat? Did that go well?"
He took a spin in the chair once before nestling her down in a hug and hold as they sat in front of the computer.

Raquel cocked an eyebrow. "Surprise?" But she knew better than to push. He would only reveal things to her when he was ready. "You're just full of surprises lately..." she smiled, though when it came to Nat, she furrowed her brow. She rested her head on his sholder. "well is one way to put it..." She sighed, frowning slightly.

As long as she was in his arms again, and safe, the meeting had gone well. Her makeup did look a tad smudged, though, and he wondered if the paleness in her cheek was from that encounter.

She took a deep breath, choosing her words carefully. "It could have gone better..." She answered honestly. "It was awkward at first, then moved to rashness and infuriating....then back to guilt and apologies...." She unconsciously touched her lips, remembering him grabbing her so passionately.
"...I hate admitting I missed him... But-" she sighed again. She couldn't really describe what she was feeling. Guilt for putting him through that hurt, as well as for the kiss he gave her, anger at what he had said, or affection for him worrying so much about her...

Damian rubbed her back in an effort to calm her. "It's alright... He is still your friend. Our friend, really. If you'd like."
Now it was him getting permission from her to become someone's friend. It felt silly, but if Raquel didn't want him getting involved, then he would not.

Raquel smiled, pulling back to look at him. "I'd like that...you'd love him if you got to know him..." She promised, leaning in to kiss him sweetly, her glasses bumping him. "Ah- I need to get used to these....though... I must admit they make me feel smarter already." She beamed, holding her neck up proudly.
