Cassandra also struggled with them, but they were too powerful for her as weak as she was.

Sanvi still lay there limp and helpless. She wasn't going to wake up anytime soon.

The new allies beat Garin and Joshua back.
Cassandra and Sanvi were carried somewhere else in the house and chained up.

Sanvi lay limply in the restraints. Her vampire blood was trying to get her to wake, but her magic and demon side were still far too weak.

Cassnadra was the first to awake. She was held up by chains attached to her wrists, her toes barely touching the ground. At least Sanvi had been given a seat. Cassnadra tried to nudge her with her foot.

Sanvi whimpered when Cassandra nudged her. She stirred like that was enough to make her wake. Her eyes fluttered a little.

"Up and at 'em," Cassandra said, swiging on the chain a bit to nudge Sanvi harder.

Sanvi's eyes snapped open from the surprise of this. She yelped in shock. She looked around, trying to figure out where she was. "...Cassandra...?" she asked.

"You won't be able to stay like that for long, will you?" Sanvi asked. "Not with you in your state." She tried to stand up to push her chair over to Cassandra.
