At the moment Makeiru said "Breaking", Maria was in motion. With her strength, she lunged at him with her top speed, holding her Zanpakuto behind her as she ran. As soon as she was within range of the other Shinigami, she slashed upward at him, having performed a powerful uppercut with her blade. Directly after slicing, she took one hand off her blade, so that she could be more ready to block any retaliations. Hopefully, her attack would take the man by surprise; not many Shinigami chose strength over speed in the Seireitei, and it was a shame. So many of them were more suited to being powerful over fast, and it seemed that only a few truly realized that fact.

"Oopsy, she wants to go Now" Maikeru noted her approach smiling subtly drawing the dual heavy reinforced daggers behind his back, preparing to counter. He figured she would swing down as most attacker do with large swords, it's easier. But no, of course she went for the uppercut. B***h.

When he saw the uppercut instead of an overhead slash heading his way he kept his defense plan, and just changed the direction it would be deployed. Hopping a little to decrease the force exerted on his body, he crossed the long heavy daggers in front of himself catching the sword-blade between them. The blades momentum forced him up. Maikeru was about 20 feet high when his ascent stopped. Impressive strength.

"I hate using cliche's like this, but, well, you're gonna have to do better than that!" He plummeted towards the ground making as if to strike, feinting, and instead simply hit and rolled past her.

He stood up snickering."Got ya."

As her blade lifted him, Maria's free pointer and middle fingers began to crackle with lightning power. As soon as she released him into the air, she began to chant under her breath, "Hadou Number Four...." It was at this point that Makeiru feinted to her side. The man feinted a warrior? What a damn fool. "Byakurai!" Not having taken her eyes off him, she fired the Byakurai at near point blank range. If Makeiru didn't have a creative way to dodge this attack, he'd probably end up in the Fourth Squad with a punctured lung. However, that was what the idiot got; never did someone mess with Maria and expect to get away scot-free. That was just how she was, and that was how she would eternally remain.

As Maikeru rolled the Kido shot through the open spaces left by his curved body and limbs, lightly scorching his clothing and giving a small burn on his torso. Maikeru stood up snickering as he had intended. "You missed!!" Then He felt the slight minor burn and saw the haughty expression on her face. He HATED haughty, he had one for dinner once, he certainly wasn't going back to that restaurant!

"I have had miniature hurricanes thrown at me, exploding wolves charge me, and the worlds worst black octopus try and eat me for dinner. Now I was trying to be nice and have fun, I LIKE having fun. But for some reason you piss me off!"

Maikeru generally didn't get angry, he didn't like the feeling. He preffered laughter, and eating jello. But god, he'd never wanted to kick someone's a** so thoroughly.

Maikeru had never really been fully serious in a fight before, he wondered how he'd fight. Maikeru anviled the dagger in his right hand and shot at her, keeping low to the ground. A few feet from her he spun, kicking up dust into her face, In the midst of the spin he jumped abover he field of vision, this movement was shielded by the dust cloud. Having put his left-hand dagger in his mouth and drawn a throwing knife from the set of them strapped to his chest, he threw(aiming for the join of armor pieces at her right shoulder) and landed back on the ground, low and wound up ready to defend, both daggers back in his hands.

The combination of the dust-blindness, the jump above where he would normally be, which she couldn't observe because of the dust, and the knife throw from a far higher trajectory then it should originate from, should make it impossible for the rookie to be able to tell where he was, and that the dagger was even on it's way.

Though Maria was by no means a rookie to fighting, the assumptions her opponent had made were correct. The knife did slip inside the joint in her armor, but only made a superficial cut; it was enough to alert her to the coming danger. As soon as the dust cleared, Makeiru was now, obviously, crouched on the ground, ready to defend. "Ah.....so this is how its going to be." The female Shinigami said with a chuckle. For a while, the pain in her shoulder was easy to ignore, mostly because she wasn't moving at all. When she started to move that shoulder to cast a kidou, the pain began, but since the cut itself was so shallow, she didn't allow it to bother her. The next attack, in pretty much all cases, was successful, and hard to evade. She'd picked up on it in the Shinigami Academy, and never dropped it since. Maria aimed for the ground below Maikeru's feet, and chanted simply, "Hadou Number Four, Byakurai." As soon as the bolt fired, Maikeru's entire field of vision would be obliterated by reiatsu coated particles of dust; with a Kidou, Maria had created a much more effective, and larger cloud of dust around her foe. Since she'd-literally-blown the ground out from under him, he would find it hard to dodge her next attack. Aiming right at him, she chanted again, "Bakudo Number Four....Hainawa." The netting of kidou energy erupted from her palm, and would hopefully ensnare her foe, allowing her to deal a much stronger attack in the long run. Hainawa wasn't an easy kidou to break out of, and it would be nigh impossible for Maikeru to break out in time if he were struck by it.

Maikeru loved running and jumping, it went well with his Shikai. It also went well with dust clouds. Thinking the Hado was aimed for him, he used an old trick, one he had just used, buuuuut with a slight spin on it.
Maikeru jumped up, flipping over Maria completely and came to a rest behind her. He never even knew the bakudo had been cast, his hearing was still ringing slightly from the byakurai a few seconds prior. Now Maikeru hated using Kido, he thought it took the fun out of things, but he already wasn't having fun. "Bakudo Number 9, Geki." he said with little feeling. A red wave of binding reiatsu pulsed across the small space between them. It could be avoided, but she would have to move very quickly away from the kido. If so much as her finger touched the red reiatsu it would quickly envelope her entire body binding her still completely.

If the Bakudo caught her he would reach over and set the blade of his dagger against her throat through the junction between her helmet and the rest of her armor, soundlessly asking for surrender of this fight.

If she escaped it he would calmly watch as she moved off, take a deep breath and reset his stance.

Since Maria was out of the cloud, she easily noticed Maikeru jumping over her. She would spin to meet his advance, and, noticing the fingers pointed at her, knew all too well that a Kidou was being cast. As soon as she saw even the slightest flicker of the red light, she rolled to the side, thankful that it had missed her. Now, with her foe in his stance again, Maria did something that she normally wouldn't; she drew out her throwing knives. They were a side hobby of hers, but she'd always enjoyed throwing knives while she trained to be a knight. Here she was, using them once again. As she sheathed her blade temporarily, she held a total of four knives-two in between her middle and pointer fingers, and two in between her pinkie and ring fingers. She sent the first pair sailing straight for Maikeru, and sent the second pair to his left and right directly after; she threw them so that they would stab into the ground quickly if they missed him.

Maikeru saw her pull out the knives...and immediately burst out laughing, he couldn't help it. Knives against him. Ohhhh she had made it up to him. It was fun again.

He smiled benignly as the laughter slowly faded and focused on the points of light reflecting off the tips of the knives. Holding out his hands as if apologetically he dropped the daggers right as the two knives aimed at him approached. Without even moving the rest of his body he caught both knives simultaneously with a flick of each wrist, letting to two to each side thunk harmlessly into the ground.

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "I realize my earlier mistake of trying to mess with you with that feint, and it was a minor surprise seeing one who resembles a knight...knightess? Sorry, using knives, not the most honorable way to fight after all. But I've been knife fighting since I can remember, and throwing the day after. But nice try."

He threw a knife in the air letting the other drop, and caught it, balancing it on the tip of his finger. "Good balance and make, your technique was a bit sloppy, but you have potential. Here" With that he whipped the knife at her, far faster and harder than his first throw with his own knife. It wasn't thrown to stab, he had modified the rotation to hit her in the chest with the pommel.

"You do swords and seem to like Kido, I use knives and can barely stand chanting strange words and throwing fireballs. However, I have a prior commitment, catch ya later." Maikeru bent down and picked up the other three knives dusting them off on his pants before tossing them high into the air one after the other towards maria, each slow enough to be easily caught if she had the correct reflexes, if not, well she was wearing gauntlets, it wouldn't hurt to bad.

((thanks for the dust trick with the byakurai, hadn't thought of that. Mind if I use it sometime?

Ohhh and I'm going to camp so if you like u can attack again and I'll respond a week from now, or spar is over, all same to me))

Kyo turned to watch the two shinigami sparring, he recognized the girl from the captain's office earlier, but didnt know her name. He didnt know the other person either. he did tend to keep to himself. he was interested however to see how well they fought, and so watched them spar, closely noting how they reacted in each circumstance.

"We're not done." Before Maikeru could pick up the other two knives that were behind him, Maria chanted the incantation for Horin under her breath, and released tendrils of reiatsu from both hands, now gripping the ends of each knife. She pulled on the tendrils, and used the ability to turn the tendrils to make it so that the knives were flying straight for Maikeru at close range, at a speed faster than any knife he'd thrown. However, this left the problem of the knives he'd thrown. Maria fell to her knees, and bent backward, dodging the knives matrix style while maintaining her attack on the other Shinigami.

Very quickly, she severed her bond with the Horin on her left, allowing it to sail freely at Maikeru, still presenting the attack behind him. "Bakudo number four....Hainawa." She chanted as she aimed her free palm at Maikeru. However, the same palm was tipped slightly upward, so that if he tried to leap into the air to dodge, it would still hopefully snag his feet. If he didn't dodge, it would still be able to firmly bind him if he remained on the ground. Either way, the male Shingami would have to think of a clever way out of this one, or Maria won the match without much more debate.

(Go ahead. The trick wasn't really 'mine', I just felt like using it one day. XD)

"Do you want this done fast or slow? Cause I can go either way."

Maikeru spun on his heel ducking low, drawing one of the wickedly sharp daggers from behind his waist. He spun swinging his right leg into the air, snapping it against the now undirected knife and sent it sailing off harmlessly. On his other side his dagger danced, parrying the nondextrous, if speedy, strike of the dagger skillfully and swiftly slicing through the rope of Kido holding it, causing it to shrivel away without a target, dropping the knife to the ground like a discarded doll.

Maikeru glanced over his shoulder in time to see her doing a back bend that should have been impossible in all that armor. Impressive once again.

Without waiting for her to regain her posture he quickly whipped two throwing knives at her kneed joints, they were thrown to collide simulataneously while she was still bent over backwards, and were not aimed to injure or maim, but to foul up the joint in the knees, making it impossible for them to unbend without first removing the knives.

He sprinted towards her, after shooting to her right(his left). He ended behind her in the direction she was bending(would make it horrendously difficult to aim the kido charging in her hand to hit him as he is on the other side). With a dagger drawn and the tip pressing into the back of her neck, his other hand gripping the edge of one of her armor plates, pulling her down and off balance while still keeping her off the ground bent backwards. He looked her in the eyes, "I'm starting to get into this now, it's quite fun. But you can't beat me, not yet, I've been being nice and havn't pulled my Shikai. Which by the way would own your little armored a** like no tommorrow."

He stood there not moving a muscle ready to spring into action at a moments notice. She could quite easily get out of his grip, but with how the knives were jamming her knees whe wouldn't be able to stand.

(I'm discontinuing my roleplaying as Maria. I can't keep up with my other guilds, training others and myself, and the squad mission, as well as keeping another character entirely. I'm sorry, but you'll have to act like this battle never happened.)

((haha cool, I'm gnna play this like it was either an hallucination! or a dream! lolz))

aaaaaaaaaand Maikeru immediately fell on his butt. He blinked several times. Where the hell was he? The last thing he remembered was training with Vin, then a tree fell...ohh yep, that explained it.

Maikeru rubbed the back of his head and came away with a few flecks of dried blood. His hallucinations sure could get details sometimes. He coulda sworn he'd been fighting a chick in armor...odd.

Maikeru dusted off the seat of his pants and started whistling. It was a long walk back to bed...why did his stomach burn?

Kaginari walked out onto the training grounds,Looking for a nice place to practice. After a few moments he saw a dead tree off to the side. With a quick shrug Kaginari ran for his selected area.

Upon reaching his selected spot kaginari put his hand on the hilt of his sword. not pulling the sword out of the sheath just yet. for a moment Kaginari just fell into a state of trainquility. Suddenly with eyes closed he unsheathed his sword feeling it's perfect grip and hearing the spirit with encouraging Kaginari to learn from it.Since he didnt have a master from which to teach him advanced skills yet, The sword would have to do.

With a quick breath Kaginari fell into his dance. Kaginari pictured enimies in his head. Each coming at him with the intent to kill. Since his enemies where only in his head kaginari struck the tree every time he killed one. Kaginari ended his warm up with a flurry of strikes on the dead tree. When he opened his eyes there wasnt muck of that tree left. The tree. was all around kaginari, Looking more like kindling than an actuall tree.

''Ok this sucks vidkin there isnt a single way i can lose. I mean it's all in my head. I need more of a physical threat.'' when his sword didnt say anything back kaginari sat and meditated on his problem.
