Fai couldn't help but twitch at Alcy's actions and words. "Alcy-chan, I'm not a dog. Please don't treat me like one. I might just bit the hand that cares for me," he replied, honestly certain that even Romeo never had this much trouble winning the love of his Juliette.

Alcy let out a great big yawn, her neck giving up on supporting the weight of her head as she let it bump (somewhat painfully) against his. "Mmphr.... y'know, using a metaphor comparing yourself to a dog does little to help the argument that you're not one.... and besides," she continued, reaching up with one hand to play with the blond hair her face has somehow come to be a little buried in, "With fuzzy softness like this, species doesn't really matter much, does it? Now, stop complaining, and I'll give you a treat, eh?"
((AND SCOOBY DOO IF YOU COME THROUGH YOU KNOW YOU'LL HAVE YOURSELF A SCOOBY-SNACK!))

"I'll play along... only if you'll go on a date with me," Fai said, feeling like he was on the losing side. When Alcy was tired, she got weirder. The fact she was currently treating him like a pet was just part of it. She was really close and his heart was pounding like crazy. Honestly, if she wasn't careful he wasn't going to be able to stay the nice friend she knew him to be. Sure, he was dressed like a woman... but he was all male underneath. Honestly, having the girl one liked toy with him like this... it was just... a little mean.

Alcy grumbled, moving her hand up to admonishingly flick at his forehead. "Oh come one, what would you wanna do a thing like that for, huh? Why friggin' go on a date when we hang out all the time, anyhow? What's the point? Jeez..." She sighed, returning to absently playing with his hair. "Man, I mean at least use a little imagination, 'go on a date with me,' feh..." She realized that her eyes had fallen shut and half-opened them again, staring at nothing in particular. "Rrrmbl... 's not my fault your hair's so fun to play with, dammit...."

Fai sat up a little, feeling her hands move with him as he shifted to look down into her eyes with his single blue one. "We hang out, sure, but you know that isn't the same as a date. I want a chance to win your heart, Alcy. I don't believe Tamaki-san deserves your love and I want to give you another choice. If you go on a date with me and can't see me like you see him, then I'll back off and go back to being my normal, crazy self. And I'll be your personal dog for a week," Fai told her, giving her a small smile.
"Come on, what have you got to lose? I'll even dress like a guy."

Alcy stared back up at him rather blankly, her eyebrows furrowing further and further up as he spoke. She opened her mouth a couple of times, meaning to say something, only letting it fall closed again, staring down at the tip of her nose. "F... Fai...." She trailed off for a moment, her bangs covering her eyes as her head lowered.
"... C-can't you just... give Takkun a chance to at least reject me first? I mean... regardless of whether he 'deserves my love' or not (which is totally not for you to decide, by the way), after all the trouble I went through to confess.... even if he hasn't answered yet, I'd rather just hear it from him first... A-and..." she tried to hold back a choke at that moment, but failed, tears her hair had been hiding spilling over, "A-a-and even then... Fai, I-I don't want you to be my rebound, you deserve better than that...." She sniffed, biting her lower lip.

Fai watched as she began to cry and it tore him up inside. Frowning he sighed and brought his head down, reaching out to caress the tears away. "Come on now, stop it. I didn't say he was going to turn you down. I just wanted one chance," Fai told her, his voice low.
"As for if I end up the rebound guy, I don't think I'd care very much. Considering you're the only girl to know me and treat me like a normal person, I don't think I'll ever met another like you."

Alcy's only response was to sob harder, tears, snot, and other unpleasant liquids taking this opportunity to leak out of her face as her head sunk forward, pressing her face into his shoulder as she tried to muffle herself. The combination of self-muffling and near-uncontrollable bawling, however, made it very difficult for her to respond.

Wondering when it was that the girl had last let herself be so open, he shifted, moving to sit up, before pulling her into his arms. Slowly, he began to rock, letting her face remain against his shoulder, even as he continued to caress across her back. "Go ahead and cry. No amount of snot, slime, or tears will make me stop being here for you," he told her, his voice soft and gentle.

Alcy continued to cry for several minutes, her sobs starting to diminish in volume after a bit, until she had managed to reduce herself to chokes, sniffles, and the occasional hiccup, too exhausted at this point to do anything else. She sniffed. "Th-thanks Fai... I-I'm so, so sorry.... crying like this over another guy when you... well..." She shakily took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "Y-y-you're really a great friend, b-but.... I-I just don't wanna give up on Takkun yet, y'know?" She smiled weakly, ignoring the fact that her face was still pressed into his now soaked-with-gross-things sleeve and he thus could not see said smile. "Just like I'm sure you're not giving up on me that easily. I'd just rather hear it straight from his mouth before I... m-move on..." She sniffled, hugging him closer. "I-I hate to do this to you, man, I really do...."

"A date doesn't mean you're giving up on him. It just gives a poor man who's down on his luck something to remember when you get your fairy tale ending," Fai told her, trailing a hand over her back to help settle her down. "And you aren't doing anything I don't want you to do to me. If you were to deny me the right to care, then I'd be upset."

Alcy's eyebrows furrowed, trying frantically to take a deep breath and calm down. All of this was so friggin' confusing, and the headache she had temporarily forgotten about seemed to becoming worse now. "I... I-I dunno...." She sniffed again, her breathing shaky- she couldn't figure out what the right thing to do was.

Staring at Kaggy, he raised an eyebrow. Normally people didn't have this adverse reactions to caffeine. Kyouya made a mental note to keep an eye on her intake next time. "You are entertaining right now. I'm quite amused. Although, this stage is indeed annoying, I think I can manage to endure it in order to observe you," the Shadow King said, smirking.

Fai sighed, feeling like crap suddenly. Why was it whenever he actually tried to do something so he would have at least tried, he always felt worse for it. "Don't worry about it, Alcy. Just forget it. Get some rest and try to get rid of your headache."
