*she launched herself at him, celerity maxed out and slashed with her gauntleted hand*
How DARE you... you think I went out of any DESIRE to abandon you? You think I WANTED your pain? WANTED this? I did not ******** with anything. I simply made you forget. AND that THING within you. It cant do its duty if it doesnt know I exist. Now YOU prove to ME you DO care. If not about me... about THEM
*She gestured towards Iden and Daegonna, her fist them slamming back in towards him, even if he'd dodged her first strike. The gauntlet itself was made of celestian metal, and should more than stand up to Corbin's hide*
I stayed by ALL of you while I was away. I KNOW about your illness... that you saved Jan, my oldest friend... you wont find my ungrateful, but you ALSO wont find me WEAK. Im a b***h, Im a fiend, Im almost every bad word under the ******** SUN, but I am NOT morally deficient. I love you you ******** b*****d.
*She smashed her fist again, three times in quick succession*
... and because of that... when the time comes I WONT fight. I dont care WHO knows that. I am NOT your enemy, Corbin. Im your mother.
*which of course, she was. If he bothered to sense, to feel... he'd know Osera and Sasha's blood ran strongly in her... and were the cause of the gauntlet, though WHY was unclear*

Behind Dae and Iden, hundreds of sapphire and crimson eyes blinked in the walls of shadows. Whispering in ancient gutterish demon to each other, neither of them remembering how they got here but knowing they had a job to do. Their connection to Dagoth was failing the cainite unable to control them any more, it was simply their fascination with Daegonna that kept them watching over her willing to protect her at any cost. The hive taking a vote on how best to deal with the problem at hand.

Oh this bodes real well...
Iden tilted his head forward, and huffed a soft, tired sigh.
Just what I always wanted...another job as a meatshield. For ******** sake, if I'd know THIS was the big fight I was walking into, I'd have left the fireworks at home.
He shook his head, then pushed slowly off the bulkhead to shift his position. He let the pointy end of Ferago rest upon the deck, and kept his hand on the hilt, just because he HAD been instructed to hold onto the weapon for Roan.
Been a long a** time since I've prayed for much. So how about you toss an extra one out on my behalf, Dae?

Daegonna's grin didn't waver. "Yeah, I should have thought a bit more carefully about my own arsenal." She said, her eyes locked on the battling fiends. "And Iden, you don't want me praying for you. My patroness is simultaneously a captive bride of Death, and the Dark Maiden herself. If I am to pray, it is usually when I'm bartering for souls." Daegonna didn't ever pray to any gods for mercy or blessings. She worked with Persephone and Kore strictly on a business level, and occasionally asked of aid from Hecate. Neither Goddess was necessarily a benevolent deity who would rescue her from danger or death, although both had the capacity for great maternal love. Daegonna already owed Persephone a large portion of her soul, though the two had not yet reached an accord as to which portion. She felt the tickle of a familiar presence when she stretched out her awareness, and a quick glance over her shadow revealed hundreds of tiny eyes watching. Dagoth's imps had apparently decided to tag along. I'm surprised he sent them. She mused. I don't think he did. Q'uarlynd commented. It would appear that their bond with him is rather weak now. Daegonna didn't think too hard on that. She was more concerned with the battle between Roan and Corbin, and had now moved herself a few feet further from the fray.

With a deep, throttling goan, Corbin's forehead recieved the gauntleted fist, his neck refusing to recoil against the force, though he wasn't about to lie, if asked if it at the very least actually tingled.
"I WOULD DIE FOR THEM!"
Again, he brunted the force of her assault, this time however, he seemed actually effected. Genuinely, injured. Close observation however would reveal that it was not the blunt force trauma to blame. It was the memories he still forced, melding with his already existing afflictions of the mental variety.
His entire body shuddered, as if standing on the tracks of an approaching train. The monster's teeth nearly shattered with the force of his jaws clenching so tightly. Through Corbin's eyes, the entire world for a moment was droiwned in a crimson hue, just as signals were mixed, and twisted between the eyes, and the brain. For a moment, up simply being down, would have been a blessing. He saw, heard, and felt things in ways that had never been concieved. Not merely turned inside out.
Then, came the three successive belts. One crashed into his ribs, the next his sternum, the third.. His open left palm. Roan's gauntleted fist, clashed with his own, golden claws clamping around her deceptively danty hand with the force he was known for. That unbriddled brute, physical strength.
"I would live for them. I would be reborn for them... And...For them.."
Corbin's body suddenly errupted with that EOD glow, as he exherted enough force to crush diamonds. His head then whipped up from the hang it had assumed, his eyes illuminated with the radiance of electric energy.
"YOU, will have to earn your place, back at the top!"
Corbin then piveted his hips, turning to the left with his entire body, polarizing his own gauntlet to oppose that of Roan's. If that behemoth grip couldn't hold her, perhaps with the aid of magnetisim it could. The Diablerist's arm then followed his body, and he reversed the polar charge of his gauntlet a** he released.
His intent, to not only hurl the woman with all of his might back clear through the captain's quarters, and sailing out over the waters... But to also use magnetism to propell the force of the throw to even greater heights.
"You. Know. NOTHING... EARN it!"

Earn? EARN? And what would YOU know of earning ANYTHING?
*She grinned as he caught her fist, snapping her fangs just short of his nose as she bit her words out, thrilling in battle if not the need to fight her son. A son she still loved, and would always love, with every scrap of her cold unbeating heart, which she had REFUSED t have removed from her body for safekeeping... for the very fear of forgetting how to feel.*
Born to parents who were GENUINELY your parents... loved by them even beyound DEATH itself, taken care of even after they could do so no longer by the will of THEIR love, THEIr grace DESPITE what you are... suported in all you have done, encouraged, nurtured, and filled with the pride of a FAMILY who loves you... exalted beyond even the bounds of your own genetics, the greatest Hellbane angel there COULD be... a god in your own right and party to the very CORE of MY being.. and YOU know of what it is to earn a place?
*As she ranted, she was more than aware of his actions, and of course shoute dthe last words as she was hurled by her polarised arm through her own quaters.... and totally failing to connect with it. The ship was wooden. She simply used Protean and melded through it, allowing the force of his throw to then carry her high into the air, still no wings, her legs tucking under her, arms curling across her knees into the foetal position as she reached fo rthe magnetic field he'd generated, extending her metallic arm seconds afetr being hurled to draw on it and pull her back toward sthe ship. HE may be relying on bizarre skills he'd acquired through his time with the clan, but SHE was sticking to JUST her innate Disciplines. As promised. Besides - Iden had Ferago. She couldnt have used her wings if she'd WANTED to. As she stop ascending and began falling back toward she ship, she spread her limbs, tail streaming behind her, angling toward sthe aft mast. She missed it, but her tail did not, her body tucking and swinging upwards a sthe prehensile limb wrapped around the cross beam and pulled her up to standing, her gunatlet biting into teh mast as she glared down at Corbin, below her*
I had to fight to even HAVE a family. In life and in death. I DID die for them. For YOU. Several times, to date. You think because I was FORCED to leave I have suddenly lost my ability to give my EVERYTHING for you? For THEM? YOU know nothing, mongrel. You who have no humanity and in response to the lessons I gave you, turned away from it. Became a monster. Do you fear emotion so much? You're remembering. Feel it PROPERLY. Know that I did EVERYTHING for you. All of you. EVERY day I have ot earn it, Corbin. EVERY day. When I rise, be it from a bed or my desk, I start afresh. My body is totally WRECKED from the scars of when you each still hated me. If giving me more is what it takes for you to realise I NEVER was on top, then so be it. I lead, but only because you CHOOSE to follow. You've been stronger than me for a LONG time now, childe, but you ARE my childe, and in ONE way... I am still your superior. And as I already told you... when the time comes, that very strength will undo me and I WONT fight.
But for today... I HAVE earnt this fight. Just as you earnt all that YOU are. Beat me down if you must... decimate my body, destroy my corpse. Whatever you do here... you will find I match you blow for blow without anything more than what you see now. I was never your god, Corbin Sion Blazeheart DeSeer... but I damn well AM your mother. And you will NEVER escap ebeing my son. Im in your blood, and WORSE... you and I are in each others minds. You KNOW what I think, what I feel, as I know YOU. And you know as well as I do our minds do not work in unison because you HEAR my thoughts... but because even without the link you would innately KNOW.
*She dived from the mast. Corbin would find the ship warping, growing tendrils and roots to wrap around him, the deck becoming almost molten as the living wood sought to capture him. Shadows joined the game, combined with the void skills she'd learnt in Japan, and rarely used. In short... should the shadows touch Midian, despite his hide, it woudl steal chunks of his flesh away, leaving behind a wound cauterised with sheer COLD from their touch. If even one touched him, it woudl slow his movement by chilling him to the core, and Roan was well aware fo the fact he could clone himself as she coudl her own form. Hence, EVERY shadow on the ship lay in wait. If he moved, duplicated, melded or avoided the attacks, no matter where on the ship he went, he'd find more of the same waiting for him. The only safe spots? Off the ship over the water, or DIRECTLY between Daegonna and Iden, who were not being targetted.
Roan herself was going in again for a series of punches, though her gauntlet had now shifted slightly to reveal sharp claws over her hidden fingers, quite possibly strong enough even to damage Corbin's hide. Not that she expected to do serious damage. Under his skin, he would no doubt have his usual lattice of re-enforced bone, strengthened organs and enough vitae to heal any wounds he DID recieve. It WAS a one sided fight. The fleshy squishy smaller woman versus the hulking amoured strengthened beast.Probably it was only a matter of time until he swatted her like a fly. But of course one did not become one of the most obnoxious elders in existance without being really really really good at surviving.
Interestingly, Corbin and Iden would both hear, as well as her spoken words, the words of her subconscious, inside their heads, through the bond of blood they all shared. Words that didnt always match the spoken ones*
.: I know what you gave up. Gave up for me. Gave up for your kin. I know what I did to you. What you felt. What anger is, what despair is. I know what hate you felt, what pain, what apathy. What I did was terrible and I will never be able to repent those sins. I killed you. I killed you. I changed you and made you something you were not. I love you. I want you to hate me. I want you to hurt me. I want this to end. There are days when I want ALL of it to end. This awful existance. Never knowing peace. Content with all of you, yet guilt riddled for the fact I STOLE you all. And guilty for finding contentment even in THAT because I DESERVE to be punshied... break me if you can... take the responsibility away... but even then I'll be guilty for leaving you my legacy. My work load. My blood. I can never be forgiven. I know what will happen. I know what it is to die. I dont want ANY of you to feel that. I love you. :.
*Ambivolous. Feeling opposing emotions at the same time. Both the desire to kick the living s**t out of Corbin and drag his hefty smurf arse back to the dungeons and use a oxyacetylene cutter on his back to scar her logo back into him forcefully... and the desire to have the every loving crap beaten out of HERSELF to make up for EVER leaving them all.*

Iden huffed a short sigh, and tossed Dae a bemused glance. Their ability to remain so utterly jovial and calm, despite the situation unfolding around and above them was almost comical.
Eh, whatever. Not like my soul ain't spoken for anyways.
He snickered softly, fighting the urge to try and goad Kuni with that old argument all over again. With his own soul bound elsewhere, it was notoriously hard to steal from him, and he knew it.
Beyond that point, though, he reached into his pocket with his spare hand and withdrew a....toothpick. Yes, a toothpick, out of all his combat equipment. He stuck the tip between his lips, and began rolling it over his teeth.
Which do ya think I oughta pop first? I'm gettin' kinda tired of waiting for 'em to sink us.
He glanced at Dae from the corner of his eye. It was incredibly hard to tell from his tone if he was kidding or not. Maybe he was, maybe he wasnt.
After all, he had heard most of what had been said. It made him want to boot them both in the head repeatedly. Roan, for being such a self pitying little irritant, spouting off such nonsense about deserving to be squished. And Corbin, for being such a b*****d for trying to argue with her, and in general for being Corbin.

Daegonna beamed up at him. "Oh, everyone's soul is spoken for by someone. But sweetheart, the Gods trade souls like baseball cards." She said. "Besides, 'soul' can imply a great many things. It's not always as simple as it sounds." She crossed her arms under her breasts, and shifted her weight impatiently from one foot to the next. She was not accustomed to standing on the side of a battlefield to just watch. Her tail flicked from side to side, and she idly thumbed a silver ring with what appeared to be a large black disk of stone on it around her finger. Daegonna watched and listened, rather bemused by Roan and Corbin's interaction. She didn't understand either of them, really. The girl gnawed at her lower lip, then glanced up at Iden when he spoke again. "I'm not even gonna answer that question." She said bluntly. "If you want to bail out, then I'm sure you can find some driftwood to cling to. I'm gonna stick around for a bit longer." Self-preservation would not allow her to answer, and loyalty would not allow her to leave.

Giving his head a sudden, rough shake, Corbin blinked once or twice, before then re-locking his eyes on Roan.
"Oh yes, EVERYthing was provided me. Your SO pathetic, because you were betrayed by your family, again and again. Bound to a stone, and violated by the man that made you. I WAS BORN IN HELL!"
Corbin's right eye in a flash, was consumed in a shimmering, abyssal obsidian. Closing the eye, as his right hand came to cup the side of his face. Again, a wave of tremendous mental strain crashed down on the General, and with a fearsome roar he dropped his head, his left knee buckling, almost bringing him to a knee.
This would only last a moment however, as one of Roan's tendrils came out with a flailing whip crack to his left. Left eye widening between spread claws, he made an effort to regain his composure, and evade with a swift turn on his right heel. Though again. The knee shook on uneasy nerves... And the tendrils end caught his elbow. The cry was thunderous, and at the same time.. Completely unlike the monster, as his gauntlet was severed, and the forearm hit the deck.
Strangely, as the Diablerist went on to duck and weave through the constant barrage of abyssal limbs, excercising the flexibility and control over his own body, that came with his attention to muscle, and fitness, rather then flesh or bone crafting. It started with his amputation, and continued to spike in irratic intervals as Roan descended upon him. It was akin to his old technique of Distortion, thae way Corbin, and his immediate surroundings were warped, and twisted. It was as if looking at the Cainite through a warped, imperfect piece of stained glass.
He however managed to subdue this involuntary action for a moment, and with the Ortus already writhing about his neck and shoulders, the two serpents suddenly spewed fourth a cloud of gases. The Hagnose breath.
Corbin, became invisible. Shrouded in the more then lethal gases, which of course avoided both onlookers like the plague, ironically.
Moments later, the deck started to creek, not at all pleased with the formulas playing at its medium, and then, that ear splitting succession of cracks and snaps, like gunshots from a machine gun nest. All would find themselves sprayed, perhaps only subtly with the chill of sea water.
The ship, had been nearly cleaved in half, and Corbin, errupted fourth from the cloud, to land on a pace sized platform of his own shadows in the water... The difference between Roan's shadows, and his own, being that his seemed to flow out from his conciderable injury, like vitae.
Holding his arm at the cut off, each breath a heaving torment, Corbin seemed almost... scared.
"Theres only one reason why those two are still here. Only one reason why you wouldn't send them away from here for their own safety.... Why they insist on staying."
With a cringing flinch, this time his knee succeeding in bringing him down, a series of images raced through his mind. Memories of the alter, and the otherwise impossible to decipher scrollings on the walls. Jaws... two warriors, and far more grusome, and terrifying answers.
"Dont do it Roan... You. Dont. Know."

Born in hell only makes you appreciate getting out. It's WORSE going the other way. I assure you.
*She looked mildly suprised when the shadows took Corbin's arm, and groaned with pain equivalent to what he must feel, actually linked enough TO feel the pain. But that didnt stop her. Tailing him as she was, she got a full blast in the face from his serpents, her skin blistering briefly before her immense vitae pool kicked in to heal it, other processes going to work to reduce the issues the Breathe caused. As the ship split, she vaulted from the shaking timbers and landed ON the water. How she was standing on it, boots just dipping into the swell was unclear at preent, but woudl be MADE clear soon enough. Especially as Seraphim came into view overhead, diving down on his viral wings to check on the spectators, his concern mostly with Daegonna.*
They are still here because this has to be witnessed. Because you're less likely to go over the edge with them nearby. You KNEW. I dont even want ot think about how LONG you've known. You KNEW and you NEVER told me. WHat am I SUPPOSED to think? How do I know your in control? You let him loose JUST to get Ice one time, because YOU were afraid of being physically defiled. And yet you'd throw that in my face from when I suffered the same?
I dont blame you. I cant blame you. This is why Im making you remember every littl ememory BY YOURSELF. With no help. YOU, Corbin, need to be mentally stronger. Stronger than them. That it. Than even ME. We cant avoid the inevitable. But I can DAMN well make sure it's put off as long as possible. Dont tell me I dont know. CENTURIES Ive known that vision. CENTURIES. And now I know why. I no more want this than you do.
*She sighed and crossed her arms, closing her eyes ot prevent herself from shedding bloody tears*
You called me mistress once, mother since, and partner also. Work with me again. Whether I fight you to a standstill, or you do it willingly... there is a pledge I want from you. Otherwise... I WILL beat you. Im weaker, smaller and easier to squish. I know this. But I will STILL beat the s**t out of you. Choose.

"YOU KNOW NOTHING!"
And with that, the water started to tremble around him, droplets vibrating over the surface, struggling to maintain one single mass. Corbin tore what remained of his gauntlet away, and with an even more pained cry then moments ago, hung his head further. What came next.. Made the distortions just passed, look like one needed only rub the sleep from their eyes.
NOTHING made sense around Corbin to the eyes of others, as a myriad of illusionary techniques and disciplines rampaged, malfunctioned, and shorted out.
Water started to vanish from the ocean around him, and re-appear in other areas, though it was only truely noticable, when at first bucket loads, and soon, truck loads of sea water started to appear in the sky, on the deck of the ship, and even inSIDE the mediums of the ship, forcing density and mass to its limits, before planks, even the bulkhead exploded, unable to hold the masses within they're spacial perameters.
This, was tempus fugit now malfunctioning.
Even those around him, Roan, Seraphim, and the others were at risk of suddenly finding themselves falling from the sky, or encased in the wood, or water around them.
With an unsteady hand, Corbin started to reach for the pouches on his belts.. thumbing the button loop, only to produce a sinjector. This, wasn't to gain a new discipline. This, was to prevent what could come to pass in as little as moments.
Clutching at the device, it seemed to take a lifetime in his mind, all the agony of the world hitting him at once. Finally however, his hand brought the device down toward his chest. Something went wrong however. The sinjector, wasn't there, as he beat his chest.
Stunned, The diablerist made a split second effort to locate the device, after spaciasl instability stole it away, though was again racked with agony.. As a new image, a new figure started to overlap, overshadow his own cringing form.

*She grimaced. Either Corbin's mind was breaking, as she had feared it would the veryu night she;d went away, or the creature within was MUCH stronger than even she had realised, in which case this way of addressing the Diablerist, appealing to his humanity and link with the clan, was in vain ANYWAY.
So she gave it up. If she couldnt stop it, prehaps instead she could sate the hunger and give her family a chance to run. Beneath her feet, what she was standing on reared up. KArkotaka, the serpent king. Or so it seemed. Black as jet, as large as leviathan, it was on his crown she stood*
Godhood has its benefits.
*The red serpent Mucalinda was behind COrbin, waiting in the depths, but neither was there to harm him, both were possibly only ROANS versions, supersized. HArd to tell. Regardless, she used the extra height the black serpent gave her to vault over to COrbin, ignoring the rending of storm and reality around her, not caring if she was wounded, to come to his side. Should she come across the sinjector, she woudl of course grab it with the idea of dosing him up, but if not, she wouldnt care if he caught her and turned violent, though she WOULD try to grab his remaining hand with her own, a certain ring in her gloved hand*
Is there no way we can control this? I tried to make you strong... in mind and body... looks like I failed again.

As Roan fell towards him, there was a sudden, blinding flash of light, accompanied by the ear snapping crack of thunder, and the water around, and under Corbin suddenly fell victim to a warped gravity. A jet stream of water errupted skyward, and from the cover of this phenomina, a behemoth mass of, what looked like ichor shot exploded out from the sea green.
It was, at first... A simple log like mass, however in a split second, became a warped, grotesque, unbalanced and monstrous clawed limb. A left arm, evident from the 'thumb' position.
It looked, and would feel like densly coagulated ichor, varied hues of raven and crimson mixing through out its mass, though if as intended, caught Roan by the throat and head, large enough it could hold both sections in its grip easily... She would find its strength, and ability to retain form whilst clenching as formidible as the ADNR hide.
"Wrong!"
The tower of flowing water dispersed with another EOD burst, enough amprage to char a village, let alone one kine thrown out through the surrounding conductive mediums, And Corbin was revealed.
What Jan, and Dae had witnessed, was barely the tip of the iceberge. Truth was, the afflictions Corbin suffered from, silently, ran far, far deeper. The General was old, bags and wrinkles beneath his eyes, facial hair grew and wildly untamed alike his hair, though mostly his bangs, with the rest maintaining a much longer, and dis-orginized variation of his spikes.
The Diablerist's left arm hung limp at his side bound in ichor stained bandages, completely unresponsive, save for his fingers weakly gripping the cane, heavily decorated in ornate carvings in the form of a serpent, the head, being a golden lions head. True to his Syn Totem.
The left arm of ichor itself, had came from the General's viral infection, the tribal markings merging and melding to form the limb at his shoulder, to make up for the crippled existing limb.
"I was made to be perfect. I am tougher then diamond, and thats true not only for my body."
If the arm had managed to capture Roan, it would start to apply such force that would turn her bones to dust, spike implants in her spine around the neck flattened, and turn all else, to a pulped mush.
If not, then the openly revealed General would simply glare, and await the next assault.
"I tire of this game. Now, we play by my rules."

Regardless of the the results regarding his attempt to crush his opponent's skull, Corbin's attention hadn't lapsed, those still present on the slowly sinking ship. Both, would see it first, the most limited of warnings. The ship was bathed in a brilliant saphire light, which came from the gathering energies above in the storm clouds. Final bolt, a move that long ago, was concidered one of Corbin's end all desperation finishing moves, roared down from the heavens at them. A bolt of lightning large enough to engulf the entire ship, strong enough one would think Thor himself had found them his own enemies.

The honeycomb hive spread from bow to stern covering the entire ship, the pale amber shield humming gently as it wrapped the ship up. The final bolt struck dead centre the aim and power more than deadly, however Dagoth had not expected the shield to hold just absorb. The crimson haired cainite stood on the very top of the main mast, a strange comforting smile across his pale features this ship adding to his aura of comfort. He looked down towards Roan and bowed deeply to all those that he was sure was now watching him.
"I'm sorry for the deception, but I knew this would happen both me and Corbin did. The version of me in the mansion couldn't hold out much longer, I wanted to give you two more time but it seems I was wrong. Again."
Dagoth stepped off the mast dropping down on to the water in front of his brother, his spurs dipped into the cold murky waters as he moved across the surface towards Corbin. His hands removing the black duelist shirt he was wearing before diving in to the pockets of his red combat pants. He removed to large cigars from his pockets tossing one over to Corbin, whislt lighting his own blowing heavy clouds of smoke, the squad captains coat that was tucked into his belt drapping down his left leg rustled in the wind between the pair.
"A last smoke as partners, it's a shame that we couldn't of stayed this way. Still brother it was fun, I'll enjoy kicking your a**."
Dagoth grinned as he removed the cigar exhaling a large cloud whispy white smoke, he raised his gloved right hand to his blade slung across his hips. Gripping the handle tightly, his left still allowing him to smoke the large cuban waiting for Corbin.

((******** me, guys. Couldn't wait long enough for me to start shooting randomly? XP ))
Up yours, mate. I never said I was ditching. I just don't wanna be tossed overboard. It makes finding a good firing position difficult.
He was still debating on a target. And aiming with one hand was moderately difficult, given the size of the cannon he was trying to use. But he held tight to Ferago, as per his orders.
Then, he raised a brow as Corbin went poof. There goes the decision. Quickly, he turned to sight in on Roan, when...
*crrrrrrrACK*
Oh. s**t.
The deck split. Whatever Corbin had done, he screwed them right proper this time. Iden staggered. He maintained his feet, but the sudden shifting of the deck beneath his feet as the ship was bisected made aiming the cannon single handedly an impossibility. He swore, quite violently, and slung the gun over his shoulder.
Mate...you're a c**t. You had me all up in arms to bring a bigger gun, and now it's gonna take weeks to clean the saltwater out of it.
The comment was snapped just past Dae, to Sera as he swooped in. He shook his head....and then he was airborne. APPARENTLY he had not in fact been standing on the deck. As far as he could tell, he was some fourty feet straight up.
Oh sonofa...
The wood beneath his feet fell away, and almost in slow motion, he followed, still clinging to Ferago, and not relishing the impact to come. Or, for that matter, the electrical death that seemed to be developing around the boat. Iden was only minimally familiar with Corbin's abilities, but the EoD was one he was well aware of. And with a groan, he shook his head.
:: Hey, big blue? I....think we might need a hand here, unless you want your impromptu bearer reduced to a crisp... ::
Funny, how Iden never even thought to ask Kuni for anything. Nah, Take was a bit higher on the scale of respect.
The shield was unexpected, though. ********, after his last talk with him, Iden had expected Dag to be the last person to ever concievably show up. He blinked, even as he fell, with a raised brow.
