Celebor moved off immediately to explore the room, intrigued by the sparse furniture and open spaces.
Elnara meanwhile was growing quite warm and somewhat tired. After all, one could only remain airborne for so long before needing a rest - or a drink. Thus it was that, only about three quarters of the way there, she slowly allowed herself to lower in the sky, heading gently towards the ground.
There, she pulled up and landed carefully, lowering her body to the ground to let Lore down so that she could revert to her own form for a bit.

"But if you don't know, then you could be up here a long long time," Lin replied back a bit worried, "Doesn't it worry you, you might not be able to come down and live in the castle?"
After all, if she always just kept staying up here, then she might never get down.

Lore slid off, it was easier getting off than getting on really, he didn't have to worry as much about hurting her getting off. He turned, hoping she was okay, she must have been quiet tired and the sun had been growing warmer as time passed.
In fact it was well into the day now that he thought about it, as he peered up at the sky. His one hand shading his eyes from the sun's harsh glare.

Haradhel turned abruptly to look at Lin, her brown eyes wide with surprise. How could a child so small, so young, be so thoughtful and perceptive?
She thought a moment how best to answer that question, then smiled gently at Lin.
"Well, I don't have to be up here until I'm at my best," she explained patiently, softly, "just ... until I feel that I'm ready. At the moment, I ... I just don't know if I'm ready to be married. I love Elrohir with all my heart, and I do want to marry him ... just ..."
She hesitated a moment longer, then concluded, "Just not yet."

Elnara changed back to her own form and collapsed to the ground, lowering her head to shade her eyes against the desert sun's harsh glare, her arms flopping uselessly at her sides. She was panting slightly, and her normally dusky face was slightly darker from the sun already.
"Water ..." she murmured, still as hot and dry as she had been in the sky.

"Oh...." she thought about it, "Okay!"
It might have floored a person how easily she took that as to be a reason without asking whys or anything of the sort. It might not make much sense since Haradhel loved Elrohir, but Lin could related.
"Mommy and Daddy aren't married yet so that's okay."

Lore kneeled before Elnara reaching into his bag for a canteen of water and unscrewing the cap quickly. She looked a lot more tired than usual, perhaps they should have left sooner. Perhaps they could walk the rest of the way, he wasn't so sure.
Still he handed the canteen to Elnara, making sure she held onto it before letting go.
"Are you okay?"

Under any other circumstances, Haradhel would probably have been shocked: but she was now used to the idea of adopted children calling both parents as parents even before the parents themselves were married - after all, Celebor was the only of Elnara and Lore's children that didn't call Lore 'father' or anything of the sort.
"Do they have a date set or are they still waiting for that as well?" she asked Lin curiously, turning once more to find something to make into staffs.

Elnara nodded slowly as she took the canteen from Lore, but it wasn't until she had drank nearly half of the water within that she lowered it and sighed.
"Much better," she murmured, a smile playing about the corner of her lips. She looked at Lore, her expression tired yet alert.
"I'm sorry," she apologized, "it's just ... the desert is a lot hotter than it was the last time I was here. Growing up, it was in the transition between forest and desert, and even the last time I was here, about fifteen years ago for them, it was only a young and much cooler desert ... I'm just not used to the heat any more."
She wiped the extra water from the corner of her mouth and squinted up at him, the sun still shining in her eyes.
"What about you?" she asked, concerned for him as well. "How are you holding up?"

Lin thought about she hadn't heard anything about it and she didn't see anything different about her parents. (Something about extra jewellery or something of that sort).
"Well..... aren't you suppose to ask first? Because I don't think they've done that yet, even though I don't know why they would since they already know they're going to," she paused for a minute, "But I think it has something to do with.. something they call tradition. I don't know why... I know Seconds don't because my brothers, they just wanted to be with their mates and there! They're married.... though I think Trisha getting married was kind of unexpected.... but still. It's all, I just want to be with you, and you want to be with me, okay. Be together always? Yes, that would be the case and there a Second got married."
She shook her head.
"I don't understand all this things that people talk about like Helen and dresses and Yukito and weddings. I don't even know why Yukito talks about weddings, he's mated. He's a Second, Seconds don't have weddings whatever they are."

Lore smiled to reassure her, "I'm fine, it is hotter than what I'm use to but the cloak is protecting me from the sun."
Since the burns was what he was worried about more rather than being over heated.
"So... I think it's just the heat."

Haradhel laughed. "Well, it's more a matter of wanting a proper wedding ceremony than having to have one, I think," she told Lin amusedly. "At least, it is here. It is possible to just say, 'I am marrying you' and 'I'm marrying you' and have it done, just like that-"
She snapped her fingers.
"-but a lot of women like to have a proper ceremony with a fancy dress and everything ... yes, it's tradition, it means that's how things are usually done. Of course, it's not always necessary, but many people insist."
She shrugged, then took a knife from a drawer on the far wall and sat down on one of the chairs, taking a broom handle that was leaning in a corner. Right away, she began to carve it.

"I'm glad," Elnara smiled, taking another drink of water. "I just can't wait until we arrive, it's so much cooler there ... at least, from what I remember it is."
She took another drink, then held the canteen out to Lore so that he could close it again and put it away.
"It shouldn't be too much further," she murmured, "perhaps another half hour or so."

Lin thought about that as she watched Haradhel work. She had never seen anyone work with wood before, since Trisha didn't know how to.
"Uhm... why? The fancy dress I mean? Why not a normal dress?"
She couldn't understand what a fancy dress had to do with it. Then again, Lin wasn't much of a dress person.

Lore nodded as he screwed the cap back on, and tucked it away into the bag. Where it would be safe, but he could still find it again if he needed to that is.
"That's good," Lore murmured, "You'll be okay though?"
