"If you're hungry, I can go get you food." Ryou offered, following them into the living room. Atem gave him a dark look.
"You just said that Khalid was in there, and that he's dangerous." Atem pointed out, wondering how Ryou could be so mindless. "Why would you then offer to go in there?"
Ryou stared at Atem, his expression unreadable. "I'll be fine. I know what you think, and I'm sorry to burst your little bubble of hatred, but Khalid doesn't hurt me." Even if Khalid did, it was on accident, and he usually apologized. Or he had a good reason to. Ryou gave Ember a cheery smile, his eyes hollow. "So, do you want anything?"
"Yes, but... Peg?" Pegasus stepped out of his room, quickly shutting the door behind him. "That's so crass. Can't you think up something more dignified? Call me Maximilion if you're tired of calling me Pegasus."

Pegasus smiled a little, but his eyes seemed clouded. He moved as though he was going to tuck Kira's hair behind one ear, but really all he was doing was pushing the hair away from one side of her face. He had braced himself, so it came as no big surprise when he saw the Millennium Eye. He couldn't help but let out a little hiss of sympathy, however. "I'm dreadfully sorry. I had come back here last week right after Khalid put that in. I heard what happened afterwards. I'm not exactly sure on what to say to someone about their death."
"Sure. I'll go see what we have." Ryou said, with a brief nod, before going to the door of the kitchen. He hesitated outside of it, looking torn as to what to do. He knocked softly on it, feeling shaky. "...Khalid?" He called softly. There was no answer, but at least no more crashes. He opened the door and slipped inside, shutting it quickly behind him.
Rei marched into the living room, holding Monopoly. She blinked when she didn't see either of her parents, only their friends. This didn't stop the determined child, though, and she sat down in front of the coffee table, dropping the game box down as well. She took the lid off and began to sort out the money. "Are you guys playing with us?" She asked over her shoulder, her brown eyes studying all of the almost-strangers.
Yugi winced when he realized that he had forgotten to tell Ember and Kawi who she was. They should have some idea, though. "If there are enough pieces for all of us, I suppose." Yugi said cheerfully, glancing briefly over at Kawi. "I'm sure some of us could team up, though. I don't know about you, but I don't like playing games with a lot of people involved."

Kawi smiled softly "I dont mind. I'll play."
Kira chuckled "It's alright. Im being quite used to this dying thing." She said and tucked hair behind her ear. "And once the soreness went away im used to the eye as well."

Khalid as seated on a chair, his head bowed. The table had been overturned and it was as though Khalid had broken all of the dishes. Bits of plates and glasses littered the tile. Ryou was glad that he was wearing shoes as he crunched his way hesitantly over to Khalid. He could see that he had calmed down, but was still hesitant. He touched Khalid's shoulder, tensed and prepared to jump backwards. "Khalid? Atem and the others just got here. Rei wants to play a game. Do you want to join? If you'd rather, you could just watch, or go to the bedroom, or..."
"I'm sorry." Khalid said, his voice soft. He hadn't looked up to Ryou, but did so now. His violet eyes were filled with tears, which seemed to surprise Ryou a great deal. Khalid had troubles with his emotions, and while most of the time he was his normal apathetic self, when he got really angry it was almost always followed by extreme pathetic feelings. He reached out, taking a hold of Ryou's hands and pulling the boy closed. Ryou still seemed tense, so Khalid pulled him down onto his lap. "I know you want me to act nice around the others, but I just can't. I realize that this makes it hard for you, but please just try to understand."
"Khalid..." Ryou said softly, awkwardly. He had been positioned on Khalid's lap rather uncomfortably, with one leg on either side of his husband, straddling his lap instead of really sitting on it. He didn't get to say much past this, because Khalid kissed him fiercely, putting a hand behind Ryou's neck and pulling him down a little. Ryou hesitated before closing his eyes and deciding to just enjoy this. He loved Khalid, this much was very true. He didn't protest as one of Khalid's hands slip up his shirt, and instead encouraged it.
"Okay." Rei said, dumping out the contents of the box on the coffee table. She picked up all the tokens. "I get to be the hat. I'm always the hat. You can go ahead and choose what you want."
Pegasus began to walk towards the living room slowly. "That isn't good for you, you know. Why don't you get some help?" He knew it was a silly suggestion. He let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping. "Ah, never mind. Khalid told me to stay out of yours-- and, well, everybody's-- business. I suppose he's running the shots in this mansion now."

Kira sighed "It would be lovely if it was only that easy..." Kira ran her fingers threw her hair. "I dont think anybody in the world could help me....Well mabye a priest...never really thought of that..." Kira chuckled "I dont think you have to leave everybody alone. Khalid may run this house but im sure the others would love to hang out. You and kawi seem to have matching peronalitys."
"I'll be the dog!" kawi said taking the little dog. "I'llwatch" ember said.

"Kawi, Kawi..." Pegasus mumbled as he tried to remember who she was. His face brightened as he recalled her. "Ah, yes! Well, she certainly is a lively girl. Pehaps I'll try to, erm... 'hang out'." He seemed a little uncomfortable with this sort of slang.
"Me too." Atem muttered, sitting down on the couch. Yugi offered to play as well and took the battleship, then began to help Rei sort the money.
"I'm gonna go ask Dad and Khald what they want to be." Rei said, more than happy to leave Yugi with the job of sorting the money. Ryou hadn't warned her of not going into the kitchen, so she happily skipped over to the door.

Luckly kira had just got there. She scooped up rei and spun her around happly "Heeey there. No going in the kicthen ok? Khalid is feeling grumpy and he needs his time alone."

Rei looked ready to pout, but seemed to decide against it. "He's always grumy. Plus, I need to know what he and Dad are going to be in Monopoly." She complained, grinning as she was spun.
"We need to join the others." Ryou said, pulling away from Khalid and getting to his feet. Khalid glared up at him, and Ryou coolly ignored this as he straightened his shirt and became presentable. "If you aren't feeling better, you can stay in here, I suppose, or go to the bedroom." He turned towards the door to leave, but Khalid grabbed him by his wrist.
"I don't see why either of us are needed." Khalid protested, tugging lightly on Ryou's wrist, trying to pull him back over. Ryou tried to shake him off, and Khalid only pulled harder. "There are plenty of people, Ryou, and believe me when I say we wont be missed. Don't go."
"No, Khalid, Rei will want to know what's going on. Maybe Kira too." Ryou said, wincing slightly as Khalid's grip tightened. "Besides, I want to be with Kira. I don't get to see her often, and I'm worried. Let me go." Khalid gave his wrist a sharp tug and Ryou lost his balance. He fell to the ground heavily, throwing his arms up to try and soften the landing. This only got him sharp glass splinters in his palm, and the pain of this made him cry out and then slip, his torso becoming embedded with glass as he thumped to the ground. He tried at once to get back up, but by then his hands were bloody and he only ended up slipping again, pushing the glass shards in deeper.

Kira heard the cry and handed rei to pegasus. "Here. You take mini-me and go start the game with the others. I'll go see what they wanna be." She said and steped inside the kicthen and shutting the door behind her.

Khalid had quickly knelt down, taking care not to get his knee cut up as well. "Jesus, Ryou, you're so clumsy..." He muttered, and tried to think of an easy way to help the boy up to his feet when the door opened. He looked up with a glare, and that glare sharpened when he saw it was Kira. "You people are far too overprotective." He snarled, grabbing Ryou by his shoulders and hauling him up.
Ryou cringed and seemed to curl up in Khalid's grip, as the blood stained his somewhat torn shirt. He couldn't find it in him to scream or cry out at the pain, and also wasn't about to try and say anything. Everything hurt when he moved, and he didn't want to think about how long it was going to take to get it all out.

Kira who was trying her best to be nice sighed "Pick the table up and set him on it.. Kira said finding the first aid kit under the sink.

This only got Khalid even more angry. Did she think that he didn't know how to take care of Ryou? "I can handle this." Khalid hissed, his violet eyes cold. "Go back out and entertain the others if you want something to do."

Khalid kept a grip on Ryou, and snatched away the kit. Ryou said nothing; the most he seemed able to do was look pained and drip blood on the floor. Khalid snorted and half-dragged Ryou to a counter, hoisting him up to sit down on it, and opened the kit, looking for tweezers to pick the glass shards out. The porcelain from the plates didn't do nearly as uch harm as the glass. "Lock the door behind you. The last thing we need is Atem popping in. Or Rei."
