He watched, quite fascinated for the moment and then wanted to try as well. Eket knew better than to bite him too though Zykariel didn't know that and thought the same as Malikhai that he was just too fast for the dragon. He did scrape his hand against the dragon's teeth the first couple of times he did it and winced. "Really, really sharp."
She was still lying on top of him and she'd pretty much decided that it was comfy using him as a mattress and she wouldn't be giving it up anytime soon. Of course at some point while they were both in reverie, she'd roll over and so would he and they would end up back to chest instead, but for now lying on top of him was nice. Even if they were both naked and it was a major temptation for her to do something with their undressed states. "You're not," she said simply. "Otherwise you wouldn't tolerate me." Simple wasn't it? Too bad he didn't get it."You'd live anyway, you'd just go into hypercleaning mode." She shuddered, "That's when I actually fear you and the smell of cleaning supplies."

"According to Warren, he can go to Andal. it's planes like Norrath and Aurahkah's that he can't go to without a serious risk. Perhaps as he grows older, that territory will expand. he's not bound by that death thing either."
A look up at the ceiling.
"this is home. these restrictions only once again enforce that thought. and they really aren't that bad. the one place we would want to go, Andal, he can go without problem."

And pretty soon it turned into a contest of who could do it the most and the fastest and eventually it was two hands to two dragons, both finding new ways to manipulate the game. It was all fun and games until someone got bit...of course they didn't think of that.
"Me and the smell of cleaning supplies. See, you shouldn't of told me because now I'm going to start tormenting you in due fashion. Leaving random sponges about and what not, a dust rag, bucket of water. All in the oddest places, and more importantly in your kitchen. Oh think of the fun I could have with that. Next thing you know your napkin rings are disappearing and what not."
"Andal isn't the point." No, this wans't about Andal at all, though yes she could only hope that when he got older that worked in his favor...it would certinally make her feel better. She would ask someone who was more savvy on the issue, say Warren himself or even Meilikki...but she doubted they would tell her. If they even could. "He is part surface elf you know...and we get the urge to wander." And what would he do if he was faced with the choice of staying or leaving even at such a cost. But he wanted to suffice himself to say that it enforced home. "Homes are not prisons Malik." This really did bother her, didn't it? "Right now it doesn't matter...but when he does get older and if nothing changes in those territory conditions? Then what?"

"Then we'll find a way to let him wander protected. if I have to have Orko or Cedric forge some kind of special peice of equipment he has to wear then I will. If I have to create a portable storage for his soul, I will."
A small sigh.
"there are things that happen in the world and planes that no one can prepare for. Even me, despite my attempts. This is just something we will have to find a solution too. And have you thought that perhaps the Wanderlust you have may not even have transfered over?"
Not trying to be mean, just pointing out that they didn't exactly know id certain racial traits had passed on yet.

"Sometimes I really wish I could be as casual as you are...well about almost everything." Shifting a moment and quitting her arrow fiddling to pull her hair over her shoulder so she wasn't sitting on it anymore. Though she did angle a look at him. "Yes, I thought about that. If I just thought about that then there wouldn't be a problem. But I have to think about both sides here. I know what it's like to not be one or the other, I'm used to thinking in such a way. For every positive and carefree aspect that can be brought to the table, an equally negetaive one can be brought as well. This is just a tad more complicated than mixed blood surface elves though." Hey she was a mother and of a toddler right now, she was allowed to freak out still. "And I know you find it incredibly frustating and probably some other negative childish or over worrisome aspects." Rolling her one shoulder back in discomfort.

"You think I'm not worried? that I don't wonder everyday if some of the darkest qualities in me or my race won't manifest in him? That there's is going to come a day that a willful teenager is going to sneak into our room, grab the hilt of that blade, and become something I was afriad of being? or that he'll wander into battle and be injured?"
Okay he was being a little indignant now.
"I'm not being carefree about it. I am, however, understanding of the fact that it will be many, many years before he'll even think of it. and over the course of that time, I will have people working on the solution to this very problem."
Crossing his arms abit.
"Just like now. I have necromancers and my illusionist working on methods to try and prevent Malvolence from ever being able to get a hold on my son if he picks it up for any reason. I know that I am beyond redemption. that the blade and I are hopelessly intertwined by now. but I don't want to see him suffer that fate. I worry all the time if history will repeat itself between our son and Cymarron's. Will my son by like me, or will the darker parts of my racial traits manifest and make him like what would have been his grandfather?"
He shook his head.
"I worry all the time about what he may become, and how my words and my actions will influence him. When you first were pregnant, I wanted a son to teach the ways of a shadowknight to. until his birth, an dI realized an dlooked back on what I was then and now. the death and destruction that I was always around or caused. Now I would give him a choice of paths, and hope that if he follows in my footsteps, that I can stop him from making my mistakes or letting the darkness and the bloodletting become so much a part of his life as to feel uncomfortable without it."
"And yes, I worry that he will get your wanderlust. Now of course this added thing from warren makes it worse, but you cannot imagine how many nightmares I have suffered thinking of him hoping planes and meeting countless deaths at the hands of things I couldn't help him with becuase we don't know where he is."
"the only thing that helps me not become a nervous wreck is to concentrate on how he is now. my son, a toddler, who has many, many more years before those thoughts form. and I want to make these years the best, so that he'll have so many good reveries and thoughts of this place that he'll at least tell us where and when he may want to go."

"Im not saying you don't care. You're a good father, and I know you do. I just meant that...well you handle it a bit better than I do it seems. Then again it has always been liked that between us, hasn't it? But I think like my father when it comes to drow, you know that." Yes that perhaps foolish ideal that drow were taught to be so called 'evil', they weren't born that way. Though boy did he put her to shame when it came to these situations. Again it was a show of the age difference and life experience between them. But it was intereesting to hear what he was doing down in those basement studies and labs of his, wasn't it? It was intriguing really...how he was so connected to that sword that he wanted to do everything he could to keep his son from experiencing the same thing. "However, I do worry the same way you do in certain aspects. Us surface elves are just as capable as you drow are in certain aspects...Kaden was proof of that. I'm proof of that myself to a certain degree. I just remember being his age and knowing something was mising, a certain freedom perhaps...and I left home when I was just a child, I didn't even finish my formal education. You think I want that happening to him so he can make the same stupid mistakes that I did? Leacing without the knowledge he needs to survive and making a mistake he could regret the rest of his life?"
Piper gave a sigh, shaking her head lightly. Well, being a parent wasn't supposed to be an easy thing and this was proof of it. "Things that run in your familt, my family could match as well. Just look at Ahkallyn...or even Kieran." Sure, Kieran had a lovely disposition and was knowledgeable about most things, but his loyalty and trust were his faults seeing as they were absolute and easily given for chance. Weren't they a pair of parents? "We sure did set a whole trial before him didn't we? He has to get over what he is, what we are and everyone else who disapproves or seeks to stand in his way." Reaching over, she took hold of his hand and twined thier fingers together, uncrossing his arms by that action as well.
So here they were, both worries about thier son whom they feared would show the worser from each of them. Malik afraid that the boy would take to a certain darknesss he once had himself, and want the chaos around him forever, and Piper afraid of what a willful personality could bring in the boy's action and thought, the leaping before he looked at all. "It's not going to be in what he's born of, so much as what he's taught. I just worry about the fine line between being too restrictive and too fre about those things. And that's something I can indeed worry about now even when he's so little." Piper gave a little sigh and she looked to her husband with a slight smile. "Can't he just stay little?"

All fun and games until someone got bit indeed. And Zykariel wouldn't have if he hadn't been moving so fast that he stepped on Circa's tail as he was pulling his one hand out to move it into Eket's. But dragon fangs pierce elven skin relatively easy and Zykariel stared at the dragon and shook his head, shaking his hand to get it out. "Ouch! Circa, leggo!"
A roll of her eyes. "Except by doing that you would be forced to clean up your own mess. You can't stand for anythign to be out of place, Sevilin. I know you too well for that." The man put his books in order by alphabetical by subject and then by size. She had no doubt he'd order them by color as well if he thought he could get away with it. He'd organize and clean up her closet if she'd let him, but that was the one place he wasn't allowed. In fact she kept her room shut and locked because her bed wasn't made half the time and she had potions and things strewn all over the place. Was she a slob? No. Her room was neat most of the time. She just wasn't insanely obsessive about everything having its place. "Touch my napkin rings and your cleaning supplies will be joining them."

Oh yes, all fun and games until that moment wasn't it? Thus a little moment of widened eyes and a gasp as the dragon's jaw had reflexively clamped down upon it's tail being assulted. "Circa, bad dragon!" Of course it didn't take the creature too long to realize what it had done and release the boy as gently as possible to not cause further injury curling it's tail close to itself.
And upon that, Malikhai took hold of his friend's hand, inspecting what had been done, and he was really too little to tell what was serious and what wasn't, but he did know that lots of red was bad and only a little bit wasn't so bad. Or at least that was what he'd been told. It was all the same to him really.
"Yes but I enjoy cleaning. Thus I would be creating a quite blissful situation for myself, wouldn't I?" See, it all worked out in his reasoning now didn't it? Sure did. "And I can stand for a few things to be out of place, after all there is a child in the house and he only knows but so much about everything having its own place. "Touch my cleaning stuff and your good china will be in the wrong place and half missing."

He shrugged, but smiled pleasantly. Relaly, it was difficult for him to become angry, or annoyed anymore. "That may very well be true." Thena s he was offered to amke hismelf at home "thank you for your hospitality, Malik."
Warren hugged Eliot around from the back, snuggling her against his chest a moment. "Awe, your so cute with kids. Much better than I am."
She was surprised, granted, when she was suddenly taken out of the theatre like a child. She didn't know what to say. She knew she was acting silly, but she didn't want to admit that, so she kept on with the act. "Sorry."

Luckily Malikhai got the dragon to let go before Zykariel had another adverse magical attack. At this rate he was going to be worn out in no time. But he studied his hand as soon as Circa let go and saw only a little bit of red so assumed it was okay. In truth the dragon had taken a pretty good bite out of him but most of it was in bruising which wasn't visible on drow skin and a little bit of blood, which he wiped on his pants after sucking on lightly.
"If you leave my napkin rings alone, you won't have to worry about it now will you? She turned to look at him and smirked. "If my good china ends up missing, you have to buy me new so go for it Sevilin. Steal my china. I need new around this time anyway.

A chuckle.
"Don't tempt me to find out. I bet it coudl be done."
A sigh.
"Ahkallyn is too caught up in tradition. and Kieran is overly trusting, yes. but those are hardly considered bad traits most the time. and as for trials...I think his will be a lot less than you think. Appearances have favored him in that reguard. and of the blue tints from your father are hiden in my skintone..and his grandmother's love of nature isn't so uncommon as to make a issue, I don't think. As long as we don't pay too much mind to what we are and it's general implications, I don't thnk he will either."
A lean over and a kiss for her.
"We got plenty of time to worry. No need to wear all the world on your shoulders just yet, Chev'"
Onyx snorted lightly, and crossed his arms some.
"I know what happened to you, Aella. I may not know all the details or the exact things, but I do know the general idea."
His voice was soft, more hurt, perhaps than anything.
"And most are well aware of how I feel toward you. And I am trying hard to keep my tail under control, and trying to walk this road of eggshells without breaking any."
And he sat down on the roof.
"It's not easy to know everything that I do, everything I may want to do with you makes you afriad. You think I don't notice the looks in your eyes, the flinches, the instincual looks to pull as far away as possible when I touch your shoulder, or take your hand. Or try to dance with you, or hug you or walk in step by you?"
His ears lowered somem and his head drooped abit.
"Your past has been painful and wrought in misery. and even now, long after the orchestrator is gone, it's chains still rattle and hold you back. I want to be with you Aella. I enjoy being around you. And I want you to enjoy being with me. Am I doing something terribly wrong?"

He blinked and pointed at his friend's hand. "Doesn't that hurt?" Because blood meant hurt and well Zykariel didn't seem at all too upset about it. Malikhai knew that when he got bit by one of his many pet like things, it was a b-line for mommy or daddy, whomever he came across first. A breif look to Warren and Eliot then back to his friend. After all, adults got upset when the pets bit.
"Oh I'm not buying you nothing. You can buy your new fancy dishes with your own steel, not mine." Shaking his head. He didn't understand the point of fancy dishes or anything. Hell, he would eat off the table if there weren't any. "Fine, truce. You leave mine alone and I'll leave yours alone."
She gave her own chuckle. "It would be oh so much simpler that way." Indeed, they'd never have to worry about him growing up and doing foolish things. Then again didn't every mother think that at one time or another? Probably. But she kissed him back, bringing her free hand to brush lightly over his cheek in affectionate gesture. "Oh but I do it so well A'mael." However, a little nod from her and a sigh. "I'm just going to have to take a page from your book and worry about him on a day to day basis instead of ten years at a time, yes? I suppose I can't help myself sometimes...you carry something inside you for a whole year and see if you are any different." Then another chuckle. "But I think our biggest worry right now with him should be the fact that he's reached that independant and defiant streak...and he's really good at mimicking things."

Rusty looked up at Moonstone and nodded. "I'm looking for something to write with." He scratched his head. "Ermm.. and something to write on." He set his arms on his lap and looked up at the Vah in anticipation.
He couldn't wait to get his hands on a pencil or something so that he could write down all the stuff he lost and calculate just how much profit he had lost. Profit being a fictional word since whatever little money he made would go into buying food to keep himself alive. It was still his only way of income and now it was gone. He'd have to start from scratch. That thought didn't please him at all.
However he had this place to rely on. It didn't seem all too bad afterall. He might actually end up enjoying this place. However he didn't want to intrude for too long. As soon as he found a means to live on his on again he would take off. That idea sounded like a decent future plan to him.

Damn you awkwardness. She didn't want to have to deal with this.
"Look Onyx, it's nothing that your doing really. I think you understand the things I've gone through, but i don't think you understand the damage. This isn't something a few friendly conversations is going to fix. Or a few....get togethers, or whatever it is your trying to do with that smell thing."
"I just don't want a relationship, not the kind that you keep pushing for."
"I'm sorry I'm an eggshell." Did she take that wrong? Well, she never was really that smart. She covered her mouth and nose with one hand.
Moonstone reached into a pocket and pulled out a small notebook and short pencil. He'd taken to carrying one around since becoming a docter. "here, will this do?"
Meilikki smiled, glad the forced needle thing had been quickly forgotten. "Come on, I'll get you soemtihng to eat. This way to the kitchen, please." and off down the hall she went, expecting that the others would follow.
