Ryou glanced down the street, to where the cars were parked. Khalid had reached them and gotten in theirs. "Well, we're going to go ahead and go. We'll meet up with you there, I suppose." He commented as Khalid drove up and stopped close to them. Ryou went with Kira to the car, and after thinking about it for a moment, got into the back seat so he could sit with her.

Kira smiled softly as se got in the car buckling up.

Khalid waited for Ryou to do the same, watching him closely in the mirror, before driving off. He was silent, but not in a cold manner. Ryou was much more tense, and refused to even glance towards his husband. "Pegasus came back, so he watched after Rei when we were gone. She was playing with Kai last thing I know." He said, lacing his fingers together. "But, she knows who her father is. As in, that I'm crazy and have a split personality, and that it was my other self who was with you. She said she didn't see why it should matter, and considers me her father. She doesn't know that you've died, only that you have to make a lot of trips. I didn't know how to explain everything to her."

Khalid sighed, shaking his head a little. "She's going to have to find out sooner or later. The more you put it off, Ryou, the worse the news will be when it does come. And that's assuming somebody doesn't slip and let her know something ahead of time. I don't see the reason in not telling."
Ryou turned his attention away from Kira to give Khalid a dark look. "I will get around to telling her, Khalid. But not yet. She hasn't even been here a full week!" Khalid muttered something under his breath but didn't bring it up again.

Kira glared slightly at khalid "Give her time to get settled in" kira said.

It didn't take long before Khalid pulled into the mansion's driveway. Rei must have been watching out the window, because the front door was flung open and the girl came hurtling out of the house. "Dad!" She called, in a half-whine. Ryou had gotten out of the car and looked up in some surprise. "The baby is boring and I'm still going to be mad at you for leaving me behind! Pegasus doesn't want to come out and I--" She froze a short distance away from the car, seeing who was in the back seat. Her brown eyes widened and she looked completely stunned.
"Rei, this is your mother." Ryou said, holding out a hand to help Kira out of the car. "Kira, here's Rei." He wasn't sure if there was really a need to introduce the two, but he wanted to anyway.

Kira took his hand as he got out of the car. She smiled her eye filledwith joy as she saw rei "Hi..."

Rei didn't know what to say or do. This woman was terrifying-- where was her eye? She had been very young when she was moved into foster care-- too young for her to completely remember her mother. However, there was something overly familiar about her. She didn't say anything, but instead launched herself at Kira, hugging her tightly.

Kira couldent help the tears flowing down her cheaks as she hugged rei tight. "Oh god I missed you so much..."

Rei, too, was overcome by emotions, and cried alongside her mother. After a while, she managed to pull away, reminding herself that she wanted to be mature. She studied Kira's face and then smiled sheepishly. "We really do look alike, huh? I thought Dad was just saying it..."

kira Smiled down at her daughter. "We do." She said running her fingers threw rei's hair.

"Let's go inside." Khalid grumbled, slamming his car door shut. He knew the others would be coming soon. "Kira, Rei, I'm sure you have plenty to catch up on. Ryou and I will go ahead and leave you alone for that... he and I need to have a discussion as well." He looked at his husband, his eyes narrowed. Ryou smiled back at him.
Rei took Kira's hand and tugged on it, oblivious to the tension between Ryou and Khalid. "How long are you staying? If you're spending the night, you can share my room. Well, you don't have to. There are lots and lots of rooms."

"I'll stay as long as you want me to" kira said. She looked to ryou for a moment before following rei.

Rei was practically bouncing with excitement. She took Kira to her room. It was fairly bare, but there were some games and other little things that she had brought from ehr original home. "Khalid said we'd get to go out later so I can pick out a bed spread and get new walls and stuff." Rei said happily, plopping down on a beanbag chair.
