The system here is: -Primary school (kindergarten to year 7 (12 yrs old) -High school (year 8 to year 12 (13-17) -University/TAFE (18+)
Ah okay, then that does complicate things a little. I'm probably not the best person to turn to in this situation considering I know next to nothing about your systems and such, so I'd say perhaps find outside help? I mean like over here there's a uni group that actually helps run students (both uni and high school) through similar cases, searching through alternate options, help with job searching, loan applications and so on. Do you know of anyone or any group similar to that nearby?

In the UK it's:
Junior School- 5-11 Senior School- 12-16 College- 17+
In Japan it's: Elementary: 5-11 Junior High: 12-15 Senior High: 15-18 Then college.

I have both mondays and fridays off, but tuesday and wednesdays go on until about 7:30pm xP
