Bastemhet Fiddlers Green Does anyone else here often run into cultists of science? Do they count as fluffies? Is there a better way to approach them about their religious fervour, and explain that they aren't actually upholding any greater level of rationality, just substituting it for a religion? Yes. Yes. No. Oh sure. Make it easy.

Such people are generally insufferable for the reasons you already mentioned, and I've lost all patience I might've once had with dealing with this exact same thing. Fiddler will know what I'm talking about as it was some bullshit argument that took place on my facebook that I almost want to erase, save for I relish the fact that their stupidity is on display and will live on forever. evil

Thinking about going into culinary school. It's a government funded, and thus free program, and hopefully the placement will get me a job so that I can make enough money to take the classes I need to apply for my masters. I need more years of languages than my school offers, but I can get them at Wayne State I believe.

There's this one guy in my social circle who goes around spouting the first part of zeitgeist as proof that religions are all horrible things, I've tried discussing it with him, but no go. At least when my dad watched Religulous and got to the part where Bill Maher was equating Horus to Jesus, he asked me if that was true.
