*Mordred was silent. Annoying.*
She asked you a question.
I don't acknowledge members of...her pantheon.
*Chris rolled his eyes.*
You're planning to have a hissy fit over her Gods? You may want to rethink that. She can squish you.

" Chris it's okay... not everyone likes my family. Maybe you should ask him instead. Tell him about the dark aura around Billy."
Mordred lifted up an eyebrow.
" What was that?"

Was this chick blind? Didn't she see... Ohhh... Boys! This is good!
"Kid who?!"
Karen was distracted herself with trying to clean up the room, and by clean that really meant hiding all the stuff Krypto broke! Mostly shoving this under a bed... Stuffing it into the closet.. or just tossing it out the broken window.
"Oh Flash, right."
Shove, shove, shove!
"Yeah, He's somethin' alright!"
Push, push, push!
"Maybe you should.. y'know... got talk to him..."

*Darn. He was hoping for a squishing.*
A dark aura. Billy has it. Whatever that means...
Hm. That is not good. Not good at all.
*With that, Mordred turned and walked deeper into the occult section.*

Linda then noticed among the things Karen was picking up a note.
" Wait a minute Karen."
Linda picked up the note and read it.
" Squee!!!! It's from HIM! Kid Flash wants to meet up with me next week. He's such a hunk and on top of that he's a really sweet guy. Kid Flash is TOTALLY different then that playboy Wally West that everyone seems to confuse him for."
Linda was blushing as she held on to the note.
" I'm considering to try and get along with Wally though and maybe even seeing if Lois and I could be friends. Kid Flash is AMAZING! He... he makes me wanna be a person. "
Linda clung on her teddy bear and then looked at Karen.
" What about you Karen? What've you been up to? Got anyone special in your life?"

sweatdrop Did she see the room? Or just not care? ...
"Umm I'm really glad this guys got you all happy-go-lucky and trying to be better... But..."
She wanted to say something about Wally and Kid Flash... But if he didn't tell her then there must be a reason for it. She she quickly switched to the other question she asked.
"Yeah.. tehre's this guy... he's an alien like me.. only our relationship is long distance... like really long distance.... Light years even... It's not easy. And I miss him But I have my friends to keep me busy."
"Woof!"
"And Krypto..." She added glancing at the ready to nap puppy...

Krypto whined apologeticly curlling next to Linda's feet. His big blue eyes begging for attention.
"Sorry Linda I sent him home but he must have snuck in when we were sleeping."
Karen looked sorry as well. Should have known he would fallow them back... but he is used to the open space of the farm. Not a packed dorm room.
"This is Krypto, he's a very special dog. In the since he's got the same powers as me."
She rubbed the back of her head. "Im sorry for the mess, ill try to replace it... but what are we going to do with Krypto? If Ms. Prince finds out. I don't know what shell do!"

Hartley Rathaway Hartley glared daggers at Billy. "Get your hands off my instrument." No innuendo, no joking mirth. Hartley didn't like to be reminded of his debts.
Because Rogues never left a debt unpaid. Maybe none of Hartley and his motley group of friends ever said it out loud, but they had their own code of honor, and that was one of the big ones.
Hartley grabbed back his clarinet and gently set it in its case. He clicked it closed."And tell me what you want." "Bottom feeder."
Billy shook his head and his eyes narrowed as he studied Hartley, looking him from head to toe.
"I don't understand why Billy spent so much time and effort in trying to become your friend." (*why BILLY did?*) "Do you remember that day in the cafeteria when he blamed you for a mishap and one of the football team shoved your face into the lasagna and embarassed you in front of everyone?"
He shrugged and scoffed.
"I didn't sleep that night because I felt so bad. I had a guilt complex over that one day more than any other simply because I knew exactly what you were going through. I wanted to do anything I could to make it up to you. To help you. But you wanted nothing to do with me no matter what I tried and probably because you had a thing for Teddy before you had a thing for Wallace."
He looked aside and sighed.
"But that's all in the past. I'm looking toward the future Hart."
He looked back to the redheaded teen.
"I need to get access to something beneath the school. Rumor has it there's a bit of a secret place beneath this building. I need to find something down there ... and a little devil told me you just might be able to show me the way."

Oh, whoopee. Now Billy was pretending to be schizophrenic for attention. Too bad, so sad, Billy, Hartley thought to himself. Shouldn't have tried it on someone who deals with that every day. This ploy for post-breakup sympathy was getting even more desperate by the-
Wait. What?
"Wait. What? You want me to take you to the Hideo-er, the catacomb under the school?" Great. Juuuuuust great. Hartley had no idea how Billy found out about that. Wallace had promised he'd never tell anyone and Hartley trusted him implicitly.
Well, when in doubt, say a wizard did it, right?
"Well, whatever your wizard pal told you -" That's right, Hartley totally just used the 'a wizard did it' trope out loud. "There's nothing interesting in the catacombs. At all. And certainly not a currently-extremely-depleted supply of hostess treats."
Because, obviously, that would be what he'd be after. b*****d! No matter what Hartley owed Guild Trip Lad over there, the Rogue Boys' stash of delicious fruit pies with their flakey crust, creamy filling and delicate sugar coating was NOT on the table.

"Oh Hartley, Hartley, Hartley." He patted Rathaway's cheek three times with each word and shook his head.
He rested his backside on the edge of the teacher's desk and rested his hands back on the edge.
"Someone as simple as you or your dim witted friends ... whoever hangs out there, wouldn't know what I was interested in even if they were swimming around in it at the time. A teacher maybe, but then again they wouldn't have confided something like this to a student."
He kicked a heel over his ankle and was about to say something else when he closed his eyes and frowned. In a moment's instance, Billy's face went slightly pale and he became flushed. He rubbed his hands along his temple before opening his eyes, regaining his composure.
"And for the record I hadn't heard anything about any kind of Hostess treats. What I'm looking for is much... Hostess treats? What ki...no." He shook his head. "Forget that. So, do we have a deal? You let me in the catacombs, and I'll let Lisa out of that mirror."
Billy pointed to the mirror again and there indeed was Lisa Snart, trapped in the mirror, pounding her fists on her side and screaming but not being heard.
"Don't worry. I told her I'd let her out after you took me down there. I'll even do her the favor or jinxing it from her mind too so nobody will be mad that she squeeled."
He held a forefinger to his lips and gave Hartley an impish grin.

Chris Powell *Darn. He was hoping for a squishing.* A dark aura. Billy has it. Whatever that means... Hm. That is not good. Not good at all.*With that, Mordred turned and walked deeper into the occult section.* HEY! The pair found Mordred at a different shelf in the occult section. It seemed as if this particular section of reading extended on endlessly. Much larger than the other sections. Magic? Duh. Mordred was searching for something as he spoke, "Billy quit the club yesterday actually. He and Jennifer had it out in front of everyone." Mordred looked over at them for a moment. "He said he didn't need her or the club any longer. From what she told me, he even quit that Gay student alliance club and he was practically their poster boy." He shrugged and returned his attentions to the shelves and the books lining it. "The way they were yelling in front of everyone, we half expected the two to start dueling. Would have been little Billy's swan song if he tried dueling Jennifer though." He smirked. "But that's beside the point. Here." He pulled out a dusty volume and blew on it, sending the dust everywhere. He patted the cover and passed it almost to Cassie but instead handed it to Chris. It was crafted of black leather with gold weaving and aged parchment inside. "Study up kiddos. A black aura is a sign of possession. trick is, of what."

*Chris watched Mordred snub Cassie again. He imagined taking the book and smacking Mordred in the face with it. Repeatedly. Chris took a deep breath. Damn amulet.
Chris took the book from Mordred and smiled.*
Thanks, Morrie. We'll put in a good word with Zeus for you next time Cassie takes me home to see the folks. I'm sure he'd love to her your opinion of his daughter.
*Chris patted Mordred on the cheek condescendingly and strolled off down the aisle with the book. He looked at Cassie out of the corner of his eye. He hoped she wouldn't be too mad for that.*

Cassie rolled her eyes as she walked outta the library with Chris. You can't control the family you're born into right?
" So I guess we gotta read that dusty old thing..."
Other then that Cassie was silent. Mordred clearly didn't like her and the feeling was mutual. She knew little of Arthurian types but he rubbed her the wrong way.
