Ryou tensed and looked like he would have run to her, but Khalid's arm shot out, seizing Ryou by the shoulder. He stayed on the street, directly in front of the house. "Kira!" Ryou called out, feeling a sudden pain in his chest. She wasn't moving-- was she okay?

Kiras head shot up as she heard ryou's voice "Ryou!" She said and started to run twards him instintivly...but once she steped off the stairs she colapsed to the ground unmoving.

Khalid looked angry at this; his grip on Ryou tightened, but the boy broke out of his grasp and ran to Kira. He knelt down at once, rolling her onto her back. "Kira?" He asked hesitantly, unsure if she was conscious.

As he rolled her on her back he would find she wasent breathing.
"And you would think she would get it by now" Luci said walking up holding two paper bags.

Ryou looked up, his eyes narrowed. "What did you do?" He demanded, eying the two bags suspiciously.

"Oh just drag her back up on the stairs. She'll be fine" Luci said ignoring the question and headed inside the house.

Ryou wasn't sure what to do, and looked helplessly to Khalid. His husband frowned, then shrugged. Ryou picked up Kira a little awkwardly, and got her back up the stairs to the same place she had been sitting when they first approached.

Once on the steps kira started breathing agian. Her eye fluttered open to see ryou. Reaching up she hugged him tight.

Ryou hugged Kira back just as tightly. "So, what... is it like an invisible fence?" He asked, when he eventually pulled away. "Step past a certain point and you die?"
Atem looked smug, and didn't hesitate in letting Yugi know. He moved next to his hikari; they had stayed on the street, since Ryou was the only one who had run to Kira. "Now, I want you to look at them right now and tell me there's nothing romantic there." Yugi crossed his arms over his chest, and Khalid turned towards Atem to glare.

"Basicly. I step off the steps and I stop breathing...It does the same if I jump out a window...Im confined to the steps and the house..." kira said sadly.
Kawi smiled and giggled nudging yugi "he's right..."

Ryou gave Kira another brief hug. "I'm sorry. I wish I could help. I just... I don't know what to do."
Khalid moved towards Atem, Yugi, and Kawi. "Why, thank you all for taking such an interest in my husband's relationships. And while I will not be the first to admit that Ryou still has strong feelings for Kira, I am completely willing to put in as much time and work that is needed to rid him of those feelings." He smiled coldly at Atem, who glared back.

Kawi's eyes narrowed "your an awful evil person!" she told khalid.
"It's ok ryou...Im just happy to see you.." she said hugging him agian.

Khalid gave Kawi a rather blank stare. "Not by force, my dear. Ryou has been completely willing throughout our entire relationship." He looked over to Ryou, calling out, "Haven't you, Ryou?" Ryou looked up in confusion, and Khalid added, "You wouldn't be with me if I were forcing you to stay."
Ryou nodded, wondering where that came from. Noticing that Khalid was talking to Atem and the others, he realized that they were probably at it with their angry prejudices. Well, Atem at least. He would have called something back, but he couldn't think of anything, certainly not anything he'd want to say in front of Kira. Besides, Khalid had turned away to give Kawi a somewhat smug look. Ryou turned his attention back to Kira. "Some good news... Khalid got Rei away from her foster family. She's staying with us in the mansion." He paused to take a breath. "She really wants to see you, Kira."

"Your still awful. You cant just make ryou stop having feeling for kira." Kawi said.
"Really?' Kira said and couldent help but smile "I would love to see her."
"Who?" luci said from behind kira making kira jump.

Ryou looked up at Luci, and wasn't sure why he was tempted to answer. "Rei. She's Kira and Bakura's daughter."
"I'm not a bad person. I just want to know if it can be done." Khalid said, looking back to Ryou. That was only part of why he was with Ryou. A very, very small part.
