Cleric Pei Psht. If you can percieve that they're spiking you in the same way over and over again, it's your own fault for 1) playing in the same set pattern that allows the opening for it to be used, and 2) not finding a way to respond that would counter or evade the attack just as consistently. You want annoying, there are some crazy fiends out there who manage to win fights using Jigglypuff. cool

I tend to pick the weaker characters, for whatever reason. Pichu is also hard to beat someone with, as it's simply a lamer pikachu with self-damaging capabilities.

If you're winning, then you have no reason to whine for having predictable opponents and I suspect that fault still falls upon you for either not finding someone else to play with suitable to your level of skill, or not giving your opponent pointers as to how he or she could mix it up in order to improve their game while giving you a challenge. I find the 'chus to be annoying due to the devestating damage I've been dealt by high-tier players in tournaments, not because of some cheap shot that novices love using.
And while I know I'm coming off as a twerp right now, Smash is never just a game. Serious business. Who do you use?
Phallus, you've long won the match already.

crzycziri smile I get to fight souless_spider. :O Hopefully your "match" will be gotten over with faster than mine did, now that Clash is back and I notified him to place more scrutiny on the guy. No, Shouj, I am not a ninja. Yeah, Kenshin, but you've got to see some of these people; perhaps some Jiggly videos are out on YouTube. These are the kinds of guys who go up against speedphreakers like Shiek, Fox/Falco, and Falcon, and yet still manage to stun them asleep. They don't even go for the cheap nap attack, and keep juggling them all Kirby-like for prohibitive amounts of profit.

Yes, Tante Jans. It is now over as far as I am concerned.
EDIT: The thread will be locked soon, so any spectators who wish to conclude their spectating are well advised to jeer and sneer like it's going out of fashion.

I might look up those videos on YouTube later, but I'm actually supposed to be doing something right now... So, farewell anyone.

I don't believe I was whining, but you may have failed to noticed that. I was simply stating my reason for disliking Pikachu, not whining that I happened to get an annoying opponent. I just got sick of hearing 'Pika!!!' over and over when the annoying little runt would do that attack. Plus, Pikachu just reminds me of a rodent.
Believe it or not, SSBM is just a game...>_> Though, it's a competely addicting game. I use either Link, Marth, or Fox as my characters.

I'm not failing to notice anything. It's a sound bite, get used to it.
Pikachu reminds you of a rodent? I would hope so. The suffix 'chu' means mouse or some hip 2 b n** nonsense.
Believe it or not, disregard that, you suck cocks. Crack is addicting, but is it just a drug then?
Link and Marth for the win.

Binatica Clash stated that he never actually LOOKED at the profiles. I never made such a statement. I read every one, just don't save them. I'm starting to ask people to host them somewhere so I can link there from their char name in the 'database'. I don't see a reason for anybody to make a big stink about this, anyway. I remember a day when a profile was only mandatory to enter a roleplay, and that you didn't have to save it anywhere and s**t. If you can form a semblance of a sentence, I let you in, and I need to fill up spots anyway. The few profiles I've refused were obviously unkillable characters (Ertai is supposedly the big godmoder of the tourny, but if you can find a way around his psionics, you can combat him on other levels and defeat him; he's said so himself) or someone whose every attack dishes out megatons of force. Caelorum I can understand if you're bored, but otherwise... why honestly argue or apply even a fraction of a second of thought to any of this? I silently ask that question all the time. Son Hakkai You all need to calm the <********> down. Its the internet, who cares. Its pixelated gold for the prize, its pixalated pride. Who gives a s**t. You people take everything far to seriously. Binatica Remember the Sphinx's riddle! what is the sphynx's riddle Kai_Arrein Your character is moving very fast in that aspect, Kai is actually moving very slowly. He did not move in the conventional coordinate plane that most people think of movement in (x,y,z as left/right,up/down,forward/back), he changed his position in the physical by altering his state in the quantum. I'll admit I didn't read the rules as thuroughly as I should have, but mainly because I figured if my character was OK'd there wasn't going to be any problems. How was I to know that a character who can move themselves in the quantum dimensions is going to be counted as a teleporter? Quote: Phasing (becoming ghostly or ethereal, changing state of matter to gas) is also banned. Leaving the material plane, shadowporting, fireporting, turning into air, and related methods of movement--even for a nanosecond--are considered illegal and are offenses up for disqualification. He never left the material plane (as it extends into the quantum dimensions but most beings are unaware of this) nor changed the composition of his body nor used another substance as a medium for near instantaneous transition. The time elapsed for the distance was also significantly less than a nanosecond. Just a few phemtoseconds. The reason why it's called a 'Flame' Shift is because Kai will sometimes use a fireball as a distraction or marker. I'm going to also apologise for the rather terse nature of my intial post. Bad return flight from socal. The key phrase in my quote above is ' related methods of movement'. It's still a teleport, and I wouldn't have approved something like that if you'd gone into that sort of detail. I have people doing 'flash-step' crap where they move super-fast from one point to another in an almost instantaneous time, but are actually moving on the material plane on a macro scale while doing so, and some characters would be able to perceive and attack them in the midst of the movement. *Left off backreading on pg. 823* hey peace out folx

"The few profiles I've refused were obviously unkillable characters"
So we don't have to worry about Superman being in the tournament, right?
Otherwise I'm totally changing my character into something that has laser eyes that shoot Kryptonite, or however you spell it.
"or someone whose every attack dishes out megatons of force."
I could've sworn I saw a battle where someone like completely blew up the arena and the other guy lost because there actually was no ground left under him...Er, wasn't that megatons of force? And I can't link you, but I think it was in the O/M.
"Remember the Sphinx's riddle!"
Spy-D-Er? Lolz, Harry Potter!
*Cough*
Oh, and Clash, I think I read this somewhere, but I can't seem to find it anymore...
Players aren't allowed to like "Clone" themselves, are they? Like, creating an NPC that is basically them, just...not? Or am I just hallucinating?
