People from any "race" can be Jewish, it's a religion. To be Hebrew is to be born Hebrew.
And you're almost right about asking what kind of Chinese person they are. Laotians were the original inhabitants of China, who lived in the Chinese mountains but were chased out by what were possibly Mongolians.

Chinese people tend to be very prideful of their origins so I don't think I'll be asking them about Laotians.
From what I've seen Chinese consider themselves to be "white asians" along with Japanese and Chinese and "the rest", Laotian, Cambodian, Vietnamese, are more so seen as the "latin or blacks" of the group.
Chinese don't even like to be mistaken for Taiwanese.
I've never heard that about Laotians but I actually have met several Mhoob (mong) people.
0o0o0o0o! I see! Sometimes I forget that being Jewish means to be of a certain religions because I always witness so many cases where Jewish are persecuted as if they were a race/minority.

South Park is how I learned what a wok was. I now base my opinions of peoples' cooking ability on whether or not they own a wok.

My grandma watches a s**t TON of cooking shows.
I want one, but I have neither the money nor the room. If I get hired to work in Japan, depending on what kind of stove I have, I'll definitely get one.

This might be a bit late in the conversation, but Hmong, not laotians, were most likely the original inhabitants of China.
On another note, if anybody cares, after I finish whatever stories I am involved in, I think that there are a total of three, I will be leaving the guild.
