I thought the whole sonic thing was a joke at first cuz I only saw part of the clip on youtube. D: But when I watched it yesterday at the dojo my eye twitched a little(okay, it twitched alot I lied D: ).
I like sonic but he doesn't seem to fit well in my opinion, but what can I do what's done is done, que serra serra. Mostly I fear he will be too powerful, or he'll fall off on accident a lot if you use him.
However I do feel he will be an interesting addition to the smash team either way.

And Snake wasn't an interesting enough addition? XD I'm pretty sure it was planned and wasn't pulled out at the last minute so they'll have him pretty balanced.
A lot of Smashnerds have been waiting and creaming their pants for the moment Sonic joins Smash anyways.
I didn't expect him to actually get in. @3@

If you dress up as a character and you want to fight here, would you go to the FANART battle, or the AVATAR battle... .__.

yeah sonic is a neat addition snake made me squeee but sonic made me hummm I love sonic but he's in mah nintendoz messin wif mah smash broz. I just hope they don't over load SB with sonic characters and i also hope they get knights in there too X3

i play SSB for s**t LOADS OF CASH in HUGE TOURNAMENTS all over.
and I REFUSE to pick up the new one.
they have RUINED it.
they have turned it into a pile of fan service.
simply Put.
Its only about cash to them now, they paid to have snake in it and they paid to have sonic in it.
Only cause fans that probably never took the game seriously in the first place wanted to play as him Just cause. not to actually ~TRY or anything.
Kinda like: NOOB+KIRBY=JUMPING OFF EDGE WITH VICTIM ALLL THE TIIIMMMEEE.
it pisses me off and i refuse to buy it, i canceled my reserve on the game aswell.
dont even get me started on the pokemon trainer. scream
its horrific to me and my MLG friends.
but thats what you get when they switch production companys in the middle of a series of games.

PS: noobish people will abuse the 4th jump so much that you'll probably turn to them & stab them. ALOT.

I play in tourneys as well (friends wont play against me anymore D8 )....but did you ever think about how the third party characters will be attracting more noobs to said tourneys, which leads to a larger prize, and since they are noobs anyway, they will be easily beaten?
therefore winning you more money...
personally I'm glad that a game is finally listening to it's fans, especially something like smash brothers..more to the point, the smash brothers franchise has been pure fanservice....the fact that nintendo is actually listening to it's fanbase on what they want to play with this time around is what's going to make the game a success, it would be a pretty bad buisness move to go against what everyone wants..
it's not the characters that ruin the game after all...it's the fanbase behind them
people complained when sonic and snake werent in it
people are complaining now that they are in it
so eh
I'm just not looking forward to all of the sonic vs mario themed matches that are sure to flood the game gonk
tl;dr
they can't make everyone happy

You refuse to pick up the new one just because the stuck Snake and Sonic in it.
I think that's silly.
I mean, at least try it and see if it's fun to play, which is what it's supposed to be all about anyways. >__>
