~Guee blinked up at Silver looking confused, she walked over to him and looked at Vega. It then began to poke Vega and began to speak, mixing up languages.~

"Vega... Guee hungy...."

~Vega stired for a moment, and shivered. Vega's body was not yet used to Gaia's Atmosphere and would take awhile before she could adjust normaly. Guee looked frustraited and began to poke at Vega more~

"VEGA!"

Moonblade pushed the creature off to the side, due to the fact that it was merely being annoying and getting in the way.

"Knock it off... let her come to."

Silver sighed, seeing as she was alright. See looked human enough, and might be easier to communicate with. She looked cold. For all he knew, she could be hyperventalating or something. But so far, it didn't seem to be the case. She probably just came from a warmer climate.

"Hey... are you alright?"

~Vega's eyes snaped open and she jumped away from Silver and looked frightened.~

"Agarwaen aikanaro?!"

~She looked at Silver for a second and then to Guee. She then looked around at her surroundings, still shivering. Guee covered her mouth as she heard those words come out~

Silver cocked a brow, confused slightly. Then again, he reasoned, he really shouldn't be. They obviously weren't from around here, and probably didn't know what he was going to do, much as he had no idea what their intentions were. So he kept his distance.

There would be a pause, Silver not having anything to say at the moment. He couldn't answer a question he couldn't understand.

Of all the hairbrained schemes...Jess shook that thought from her head, and lifted the bow from her shoulder and took careful aim. The orc in front of her just stared at her stupidly, wondering why she was holding a bow that was unstrung and had no arrows within.

"You have two choices, tall, dark and ugly. You either give me that missive, or I make you regret being born..." of course, he still just stood there, unbelieving that she could carry out her threat with an unprepped weapon.

ziiiinnng~

One dead Orc later, the blond was leaning over the orc and pulling the piece of parchment from the corpse's rather grotesque body and wiping it on a nearby piece of moss. "Now to hunt down the rest of the body's." She reached over and touched the beam of light that seemed to be in the shape of an arrow. At her touch, the light dissolved into sparkles and there was not a trace of how the creature had died.

"Now which way to go next..."

They moved almost soundlessly amongst the trees as they watched the latest intruder. She had just taken out an orc and this pleased them, one less competitor for food and territory, and one less threat to their human. Glittering eyes watched her closely, it was still undetermined whether the new human could be trusted.

Meanwhile, very close by, Disa clicked her tongue as she looked down at the mangled mess that used to be a rabbit. The orcs had gotten to her catch before she had.
"How am I supposed to make a living off of this?"

Jess licked her finger dramatically and held it up to the wind. It was a silly notion really, but some people believed it worked so why not. But instead of feeling where the wind was coming from, she spun on her heel and pointed right at the Alpha male of the group of wolves. No matter where he was hiding, it was one of her lesser known talents.

Once she made sure he knew she knew he was there, she'd sling the bow over her back, and sit down on her haunches. These might not be the wolves she and Cris had grown up with, surrounding the mansion. She was, if nothing else an alpha female and bore her neck for none but an alpha male. She brushed her hair aside and tilted her neck, showing her defenselessness, whether it was truth or not, was irreverent. One thing she had learned, sometimes it was better to make friends than enemies. But her eyes constantly peered for more orcs. Perhaps the wolves could her.

If these wolves were anymore intelligent than your average wolves, they showed no sign of it. The alpha did however acknowledge the position of submission in a manner of speaking by boldy stepping from where he had been hiding. The other however receded further into the shadows.

Disa picked the bloodied remains of the rabbit and sighed. Perhaps her friends would be able to salvage something for themselves. Speaking of her friends, it was then that she felt that familiar feeling of eyes watching her. Her gaze rose to meet a pair of glittering orbs that peered at her from the shadows. The figure stared at her intently for a few moments before turning to walk away. It stopped seconds later, turning to look back at her.
"Alright, alright, what's the problem this time?" She started after the wolf ahead of her, following not far behind it as it moved through the trees, leading her to whatever it was that it wished to show her.

It never mattered to her, whether they were more intelligent than 'average' wolves. This was Gaia after all. Slowly, as if not to startle the more timid wolves, Jessica lowered her head, the platinum blond hair sweeping her shoulder.

"I am hunting several orcs in these woods. I would have no quarrel with you." She smiled, but showed no teeth, for that was a sign of aggression. "If you cannot assist me in this manner, I only ask that you do not hinder me in this. In return I will leave as well as I came." This was an age old ritual, though if these wolves would understand and abide with it was unknown. She'd learned it first at her mentor's knee, and it had served her well so far.

The alpha sat back on his haunches, his head tilting to one side as he eyed her, almost as if he was pondering her statement. He was a great black beast, one of the reasons he had survived so long in the forest, his coat helped him to blend in with the shadows. Some of the members of his pack had not fared so well, he had lost a few when they first moved. Over time though, they had learned the habits of the orc and learned to defend themselves or avoid the orcs all together. The human had helped them as well.

It didn't take Disa long to step from behind a tree and notice the beast staring at another person. A familiar looking person. It was... Jessica, was her name, right? And look, a dead orc.
"Who's hunting who, here?" Disa's voice rose as the timber wolf at her side departed into the shadows with the rest of his brethren.

Jessica looked up and smiled again, almost forgetting to keep her teeth covered since the wolves were nearby. "Disa?!" She hadn't been expecting the girl; but she hadn't mentioned which forest she lived in, Jess had just supposed it was the one near the place where she'd last met the girl. She was tempted to tell the girl to be careful of the wolves, but at the same time, they treated her with deference.

Keeping her bow on her back, and making no sudden movements; she stood up and brushed her hair back on her head with her fingers. "I was hunting some..."she glanced down at the orc with disgust, "...lackey's. They refused to cooperate." It was bald, but also the truth. Mindless minions, not her idea of a good time at all.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 17, 2007 7:08 pm

"Ah. Those lackeys ruined another one of my rabbits." To demonstrate her point she held up the mangled mess of fur, meat, and bone. Her eyes glanced past Jessica to the alpha who had risen and was padding his way over to her at the sight of the rabbit.

"It probably got in it's way..." Cold blue green eyes stared at the orc, before turning to look at Disa. If the girl was even in the least bit senstive to the elements around her, a cold shudder would pass through her as Jessica looked at her, and then it was gone. It wasn't meant for her, but it held promise of something most dire. Even the wolves would feel it, though they would know the intent was not for they or theirs.

"How are you doing? Is business any better, or are the orcs ruining all good hunting?" Now that there was a familiar face, Jess seemed a bit more at ease, though the timing was something that was worrying. Disa appearing right as Jessica was hunting something, made her slightly edgy. But the girl was nice enough.

The black brute, tail wagging slightly, walked up to Disa and she dropped the rabbit's remains into his waiting jaws. "The orcs are pretty much ruining the good hunting. Can't catch anything larger than rabbits and birds and I still have them to think about." She motioned to the black wolf who was picking at the rabbit.

That was puzzling. "Is the tribe dying?" That was something that did concern Jessica, it wasn't something she advertised for the hunting it could bring upon the wolves, but she had always had a strong connection to them. But there were only two reasons a tribe wouldn't be fully hunting for itself. Humans, and a tribe dying. Though she did almost chuckle to think of what she'd be getting into if she offered her assistance.
