"Inuyasha!" Kagome gasped and ran to look at his back. "This happened becuase I had your robe of the fire rat." Kagome said, tears filling her eyes again.

"No! Kagome, calm down. Your safe, that's all that matters to me." He could feel himself healing as they spoke. "It's nothing serious. Stop the tears."
The little girl was feeling a little scared and confused. Where was she? Who were these people? She backed away slowly, shaking and close to tears.

Kagome felt a little better after hearing those words and noticed that the little girl looked terrifried. Kagome wiped her tears away and walked to the little girl. "It's okay. We're here to help you. Can you tell us what happened please?" Kagome asked politely.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about the kid. I found her running through the miasma. You okay?" Inuyasha bent down to talk to her.
"I don't remember anything." She whispered. "I'm scared." A small tear formed in her eye. "I want to go home!" She cried.

"It's okay. We can take you home if you show us the way, right Inuyasha?" Kagome turned towards him.

"Uh, right." Inuyasha said.
"I don't remember! I'm lost." The little girl hugged Kagome in tears.

Kagome hugged the little girl back. "Don't worry. We'll find the place where you live, okay?" Kagome reassured her.

"ya kid, we'll help you." Inuyasha patted her head.
She sniffled, and stopped crying. She wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her pretty purple Kimono. "My name's Toyo." She said, and stepped back to curtsey.

Kagome stepped back and stood next to Inuyasha. "What a polite girl." Kagome examined. "Hey Inuyasha, think you can sniff out her family maybe?" Kagome asked holding her hands together and almost begging.

"Maybe." Inuyasha started to concentrate on the girl's scent, but remembered the object in his hand. "Oh, is this yours?" Inuyasha lifted up the object. It was a locket in the shape of a diamond.
"Yes!" She smiled. "You found it!" she took it from him and put it around her neck again. "My father gave it to me." She tried to remember her father. "Are my parents dead?" She asked in fear.

Kagome frowned and looked at Inuyasha. She grew angry suddenly and remebered that she had given him a locket like that before.

Inuyasha turned his head slowly. He jumped when he saw Kagome's angry face behind him. The necklace! "Kagome! I can explain!" He said quickly.
"Ahh!" Toyo screamed in fear. "A demon!" She hid from Kagome behind Inuyasha."She's only a demon when she's mad." Inuyasha whispered to Toyo.

Kagome's anger died down and she whispered in Sango's ear, "He doesn't have the locket that I gave him!"
