Tumai watched Aleu, his fondness for her growing with every second. Her being here just seemed so right, and even though she may not have believed that herself right now, he did. After a few moments of quiet thought, he moved to join her. Slowly, he lowered his head to her level to take a drink.
When he raised his head, he glanced up towards the huge cliff that housed the Mistweaver caves, where the Mistweavers lived. When he caught Aleu's eye, he smiled and motioned towards it. "Do you see that cave just to the left of the waterfall? That's where I live." He laughed a little. "I don't know what I was thinking when I was younger, choosing a cave so high up. I guess I just loved climbing and walking uphill." He smiled. "The sound of the waterfall is very relaxing though."

Tumai was quite taken-aback by what Aleu said. Of course he hoped they would still be together by the time they're old and grey, but the fact that she was actually commiting to such a thought already pleased him greatly, and made him feel somewhat proud and honoured. "Charming." He laughed. "Though, if you're offering to carry me all the way up, how could I refuse?" He replied jokingly, moving past the female towards the path that lead up to the caves.
"There's no a direct route, we have to go through a few other caves to get to it. It may take you a while to get your bearings, but I find it helps to look for certain things to use as markers." Whe they reached the huge cliff that houses the caves, he motioned towards the first two paths that branched off. "Do you see that glowing rock in the wall on the right? That's our first marker, as that is the path we need to take." Smiling at her side, he watched and waited for her to take in her surroundings as she went.

Maji looked out to the land from one of the ledges leading into the caves of his ancestors, his blue eyes narrowed and his ears flattened against his pearly mane. Though impressive in build he was growing thinner. Food was scarce, many of the herds were moving out for lack of food. The grass was growing more and more dry, the rivers were growing shallow, and even the dams he had created to stockhold fish were beginning to thin. The fish weren't breeding enough to feed his pride- much less the rogues who had invited themselves in... many of them having had a family and were practically raping the lands of what little they had.
The pride consisted of those that he had accepted into their protection, that was large enough, but in his opinion the rogues who had trespassed into the lands and born cubs were simply barbarians who had come to an already dying land to quicken the process... Maji had hoped that with rationing and more clever hunting parties the actual pride would survive until the raining season when, he hoped, the waters would come to revive the pride... however the rogues had no respect for the resources and were quickly robbing them of all they had to feed themselves and their new cubs.
Maji's claws scraped along the stone as he considered his options... he could drive them out- but that would be cruel... but on another note they'd simply intruded. Some hadn't asked for permission into the lands and therefore were open to punishment. They needed allys... and numbers to resist the threat that the pink rogue presented- but without food...
He sighed, standing himself up to give a loud roar, calling out to his actual pride. Ramses and Enki especially... they needed to discuss this and come to a final decision.

Maji forced the grave expression from his face as his adopted son approached him, offering the young lion a strong nuzzle to his shoulder. He wouldn't lie to the youth about the situation... he had been an outsider himself but it was hardly his fault and he had been welcome. Taken in and accepted by the pride. "No... we have a bit of a problem on top of everything, Obi." He said, lowering his voice in the way he would when something had been on his mind for a time, "It seems that we might have to drive rogues from these lands... we've hardly enough game to feed ourselves, much less invadors who've not bothered to make peace with the pride that takes up residance here..."

(( heart Thal, once Reborn has responded, would it be OK if we brought Tumai and Aleu to Maji and Obi? surprised I wanted to grab you for RP anyways, to get Aleu accepted into the Misties, but since you're already here, it may be easier to link the two RPs... ))

Tumai continued to smile, inside and out. It was hard not to, considering all the thoughts for the future he now had. Before, he had simply lived every day as it came, not thinking too far ahead. Now, he could see his entire life being played out; and all of those thoughts included Aleu.
He purred deeply as she nuzzled into him, allowing his head to come down and rest on her neck in a strange sort of embrace. His heart beated just a little bit faster in the moment. Love was most certainly there between them, even though they hadn't known each other that long. As she moved away from him he nodded, almost dreamily, and went to walk down the path that was marked with a glowing rock in the wall.
As they went, he continued to point out various 'markers' that would help Aleu get her bairings. About half way up, a familiar voice reached Tumai's ears. He smiled broadly and turned to Aleu. "Maji is nearby. You must meet him, he is the most intelligent and wonderful lion you could ever meet." Saying that, he turned and went to a cave mouth towards the left. "He'll be so pleased to meet you I'm sure."

Tumai stopped as he sensed Aleu's concern. His eyes flickered as he looked into hers, trying to figure out what was wrong. She looked upset and almost afraid. Rather than comforting her with words, he moved closer to her, nuzzling her muzzle with his own and giving her an affectionate lick.
As she questioned him, he smiled. "Yes, yes, no, no. Maji is very kind and understanding, so of course you will be accepted. And any negative feelings Maji may have will only be reserved for those that enslaved and hurt you, not you yourself." His voice was full of reassurance that he hoped Aleu would respond to. The last thing he wanted for her was to have second thoughts about coming here with him. "Come on, you'll be fine." Saying that, he moved further on into the cave, to where he had heard Maji's voice.
