Oh man I am really going to enjoy it when I play with the updated Tau Empires Codex. All I have to do is wait intill March 11th and then I can get the big boxed set. That peice of info has made my day ^_____^

the reason it's Str 3 is to stop it being anti tank.It's a troop killer and a mighty effctive one against IG,Orks and 'Nids.


In case you hadn't noticed, Tau are already incredibly effective vs. IG, Orks, and Nids, what with the plethora of S5 AP5 guns we have. If the CAB turns out to be S4 or AP4 and at least 24" range, It'll definately have a place in my list, but as is, it's more of a curiosity than anything else.

you do realise the vespid are assault guns so if you shot someone and get charge afterwards youve done something wrong, you should be kicking out 5 shoots, killing acouple and then charging the survivors on the same turn.

and fire warrior guns may be AP5 but the are more anti APC and high T units than the hordes gaurd/nid/ork army other than submunition this is there first anti horder weapon

Cause The Pirannah's, Drones and Pathfinders seem a bit more usefull. I might see if I can use the Stingwings to hold up a Tyranid monsterus creature for a turn or two.

The Cyclonic Ion Blaster is AP5, with 5 shots.

Pirahnnas can get fusion blasters for an extra point cost.

I'm going to be selling all of the stuff i have now, and i'll be purchasing the boxed army, so i'll have an ethereal, commander, crisis, stealth, FW, kroot, stingwings, hammerhead, a sniper team, and a broadside i'm keeping. The additions i'll make will probably be more stealth, another broadside, and maybe some more snipers.

im not sure what out of the new list i will put into my army, right now my fav new unit is sniper drones. and i will probably replace my monat brodside with some.
