Nuclearwinter
i alaways wanted to make a custom army varient for an ALL conscript army with a few more commisers, now THAT would be fun!

Conscirpts are reat.At my local GW we had a doubles tourny(2 750 armies allied)so I used marines and my friend and allie used Gaurd with a 50 man conscript platoon. Our first opponent was Orks and chaos so in the deployment we suddenly had an evil plan.We put my chaplin in the cons.Thats a 50 man, fearless unit.best of all we got a chage in with 30ish left meaning 60+ attacks re-rolling misses. twisted We killed ten or twelve Orks not including the chaplin. that was fun.

See, the Imperial Guard has great tanks and in the current downsized list, the AC is still considered a cheesy thing. I'd love to plug in some anecdotes from fellow Guard commanders who used their AC's in tournaments, where the list is perfectly legal. And they don't get complaints about being called dirty, filthy or gay. Besides, as mentioned by Reddemon, tournament armies are designed to take all on. AC lists can go down just like any other army, they told us that alright.

Sooo i am now one Tank short of an Armoured Company all I need is another Leman Russ to make into my command tank but right now ive got

2x Leman Russ
1x Leman Russ Demolisher
1x Basilisk
1x Hellhound
1x Storm Troopers

and a pile of Emperors Day presents to take back for cash and i still havent collected my goods from my brother yet. So by the end of next week i should be feilding one small Infantry Company and decent sized armoured company. Then i can start working towards some forgeworld goodies

Okay, now that part is gone, time to gander over the list. The list undergunned, I hope you do realize that, as the three Grenadier squads could never hope to produce as much fire power as a single small platoon with heavy and support weapons. I also see no real use for the storm troopers option, as you field three Grenadier squads in Chimera's instead. It might be better to switch that one with Iron Discipline to give your HQ something extra or if you feel like going down fighting, take Hardened Fighters, as that doctrine combined with Close Order Drill can work out suprisingly.

What are you arming everything with? It might be a fairly good list if the sentinels are of the AT-ST persuasion. I would drop a Stormtrooper squad or 2 to add another Platoon. I think they are too expensive especially since a squad with sharpshooters might be only slightly less accurate then a Stormtrooper squad. And drop the Grenadiers. You're a officer of the Imperial guard god-dammit. Leave the jumping out of space ships to the marines.

What the s**t... I hope you realize that Grenadiers cannot deep-strike or infiltrate.

If I ever make a AC list I think that I'll go with a Police officers colour scheme. Black and white tanks with diffrent coloured search lights

I thought that was the point of the discipline.
I don't have my codex on me so I'm going from memory here.

If want a police theme army you would be better of with Witch Hunters where you can swap out hellguns for shotguns

Tournament armies are designed to be balanced, and should be able to handle a moderate amount of enemy armor, heavy and normal infantry. Building a list that is SOLELY armor spits in the face of balance.
You have to have a specifically built army to fight AC...if you don't bring a LOT of heavy weapons (which will ******** your composition rating) you can't compete...which plays right into what the powergamers want. That's the issue with it.
