I had not ment to insult you nor rour company.... I am but a humble sailor.... and sailors hear odd talk of this and that.... *he turns to cora and gives an even more flourishing bow, stepping up onto the bar to do so* and to you my good woman.. I duely apologize.. I am sure you are a lady of the highest quality and mean no offense*he steps back behind the bar and retrieves his rum.. eyeing Bard suspisciously*

:::Cora gasps, disgusted. The tone of her voice is evident of total appauledness::: He thinks I am a criminal!!?? :::She looked very angry:::
:::Not soon after her burst, he appologizes, and she calms down:::

[Keep in mind though, while weapons ARE allowed, we're not to run amok with them, so, literally, pick your battles wink ]
*relaxes a bit at Cross's apology, but still seems a bit uncomfortable* . . . Apology accepted, sir . . .
*jumps a bit at Cora's outburst* Ehm . . . not a criminal . . .

((its all right, its just one of those habit things from having no weapons before.))
*Aetas releases his grip on Orcanus and pulls his hand from his coat. It was bright red from gripping the weapon so hard, as if in extreme anger. He shrugged it off as forgetting his own grip, shaking his hand out. He cracked his knuckles as he moved over to a chair and sat down, reclining slightly and watching the others.*

...if not a criminal, then what? Are not criminals those with questionable virtue?

*Watching Cross to make sure he doesn't try anything strange, he slips around the bar to stand next to Maggie*
He still thinks he's in 1743. Too drunk to tell the difference. How do we explain this one?

*tries to think of how to explain this to Cora, turning red again* Well . . . ye see . . . that is . . .
*looks very relieved when Bard approaches and offers a distraction in the form of his question* I doubt he'll even believe us if we try te tell him the truth . . . . perhaps we might try te sober him up a bit?

:::Cora pouts just slightly when Maggie is interupted. She gets the feeling she's never going to get an explination for anything:::
:::She walks over to the bar...remembering that glass she was supposed to take up with Bard, there she seems to have joined the stranger:::
Indeed, there would be no criminals here on my watch.
:::She grabs the bottle of chardonay she opened the night prior, and remembered the events and conversations that had happened before she had faded away unexpectedly. She glanced back at Aetas:::

*turns a cautous eye towards Cora* and what do you mean by that, lass? *he says looking her over and puzzling at her strange dress..*
Say there was a criminal abouts.... what would a lass like you have to do with it ?
*He puts a hand to his chin.... Aye he had met woman who could tear a man limb fromb limb... or shoot the whiskers streight off a man from many yards away.... but this girl looked more a naive mark than a cunning amazon of the day. *he takes a drink and calmly awaits her answer*

*Aetas sat patiently, really wanting to leave and start the latter half of the journey to save his avatar, but time in the Brink had no meaning. He could wait, as long as he didn't fade out. He had a look of slight urgency and worry on his face, regardless.*

*whispers to Maggie* I think he's done quite enough already.
*he watches Officer Serenis and Cross. From what little he knows of Cora, he suspects she could take a drunkard in a fair fight, if it came to that. The real question is, would the fight be fair?*

:::She was still thinking of Tacitus, but snapped out of it when someone asked her about her duty:::
It is my sworn duty to protect the citizens of... :::oh, I'm not in Omegatropolis right now...::: uh, the Brink of Time. Should any criminal action be taken here, I would be entitled to use my abilities to arrest said criminal.
