Hutt-brains spattered againest the back wall as the smoke finaly fully cleared. Victory. But where was that damn boy? He looked around."Body count Mr.Creedy."he hawlered."19 of us left sir.", "Good. The job is done. I'll send you guys your money once I get payied myself."He said and they departed."This never happened guys." he said to them all, knowing not one would snitch. They were all old pals of his from both his military and less-honest days((Not like there was much of a difference nowadays)). Haldir was wiping the blood from his blades and armor as Luger walked up to him, his two three other crew members were getting themselves cleaned up as well."Ok, lets scram."he said and they left with all speed."Keep an eye for the boy as we go. But we make it straight for the ship."

Olin glanced again at the screen. Sure enough, their enemy had come right between the space between Dxun and Onderon. "Clever trick, aye Syst."

"Very. By staying there, he remains out of effect of the LT mines. tHey just took our greatest advantage away," the Mandalorian answered, as the feed from the Immortal reached his helment. He cleared his throat. "And it appears Borril brought an unwelcomed guest."

"Who?"

"A rouge Mandalore," he answered simply. "Him and several dozen traitors. They've come claiming the title and demand to battle to the Overlord and Mandalore."

"What would you do?" Queen Zeltilla asked over the comlink from her secure position in the heart of the Sky Palace.

"There's nothing I can do against it. According to our Law, he has the right to challenge Overlord Ordo, and if he wins, the Overlord must bow to him, as well as all of us. On the other hand, there's much you can do."

Olin nodded, and pointed at the nearby gunner. Keying several commands, there was a sudden rumbling, and the screens switched to a feed showing the central plaza. The huge square had suddenly opened up and folded back, as a huge sphere lifted out of it, a massive turrent sticking out: a hidden ion cannon. "Surprise Party is ready to fire."

Syst grinned. "Good. Do likewise with your hypervelocity gun. Let's see if your hidden defenses can shake them up a bit. When you've hit them enough, release what ships you may. I'll deal with the Mandalorians."

~

Having received the missiv from Mandalore the Immortal, Overlord Ordo sat back in his chair. He was nervous; who wouldn't be? He had negotiations to give, and he knew he had to give them. He opened the feed.

"Mandalore the Immortal, this is Overlord Mynock Ordo. On behalf of theose you name Dar'manda and Mandalore the Conquerer, I send an offer.

"We do not want a fight. We are willing to stand down and re-unite the clans, but we request a private negotiations between the two Mandalores to discuss the situation civily. Mandalore the Conquerer will not back down from open combat, nor would he implore you offer mercy; he only demands you hear the whole truth. We are all Mando'ad, regardless of allegiance."

He cut the message off there and turned back to his battle charts, as his few Canderouses and Crusaders made their way around the planet to siege positions, watching as the ion cannon's blasts hammered Dxun as much as it hammered the enemy ships.

((oh man... I'm going to be laughing when Stellar turns those to rubble with a single orbital bombardment...))

Sullust.

The volcanic planet covered in ash known for navagators and sorosuub. Yet, the planet would soon be devastated by the worst plague it had ever known.

On the outskirts of the system, a single ISD floated in the dead of space, gathering data from the small probes left from the original visit, all the while monitoring the com channels. Nobody had reported anything really disturbing yet; heck, even sullustians got sick. Still infantile in its stages, the virus had passed quickly from being to being.

The first death was expected to occur in three days, followed by a hundred in the next 24 hours. By day three, every doctor (sith, loyalist, or otherwise) would be on planet, in quarantine with every patient. Sorosuub would find this quarter's profits nearly bankrupting the company unless workers could be found. Much to Ferno's hopes, they would not, and the sith empire would eliminate the company's independance. The Banking Clans and Commerce Guilds would help support the company, securing a valuable asset they had their eyes on for the longest time, thus neutralizing any resistance they had from that planet for quite some time.

If all went according to plan, these outer rim problems would just be seen as a troubled time that went with the transitionary period of new governments. Though the slight chance that this new "loyalist" sect of the empire could gain control of their cooperation, it was minimal.

Watching Sullust slowly grow sick was quite boring, with more attention being paid to the loyalist propaganda and interceptions. Nothing better to do, Ferno demanded updates on military positions. A bothan Rear Admiral had seemingly been given a blockade to trap in the rising rebellious loyalist sect. To Ferno, all it seemed to be was an elaborate hunting ground.

The Slayer floated along, listening for anything and everything possible, much like its spectre captain...

Link led his charge through the dank depths of the Hutt's palace, ignoring the moans and wails of the damned that had been imprisoned here.
He already knew there was nothing he could do for them. Not on Nal Hutta.
Leida had his hand in a vicelike grip, a clear indicator of her nervousness.

"Milady Leida," Link said, hoping to calm her with conversation. "Tell this one something, You said that you foresaw that this one would come to rescue you. By chance are you force sensitive?"
She gave a slight smile and nodded. "Yes. I have a talent for scrying and seeing the future. But could you not tell I was in tune with the Force?"
Link shook his head. "This one's talents are limited in that aspect. This one has another calling. But does your Force-sight have something to do with your current situation?"
"What?"
"Is it why you are on Nal Hutta?"

"Oh." Her smile fadded somewhat. "Yes, to a degree. My Father and Mother learned of my ability when the Jedi came to my world. I was but an infant then, and they offered to take me away to train me. My parents denied them, Not willing to involve their only daughter and the heir to the throne with the Jedi. So as I grew I learned myself how to control and manipulate my powers. I proved to be a great aid to my homeworld. Then several Months ago, the Sith took over. Fearing for my life, my parents sent me into exhile before the Sith found me, sending along a trusted bodyguard to protect me. As we were waiting for a transport we had chartered however, I was kidnapped by Slavers, who defeated my steward before my eyes."
Link listened to her story, lending her an attentive ear as he focused on navigating the tunnels.
"It must have been hard for you." He said sympathetically. "Fear not though. Your slave days are over and soon you will be with your steward."

"Ahem." She said irritably.
He glanced back at her and noticed she was pointing at the collar around her neck.
"For now, you'll have to leave it on." He said.
She gave him a somewhat suprised and aghast expression. "What?! Why?!"
"When we get to the surface, no one will question this one in possesion of you. It will throw off pursuit if people do not see you for what you really are."
"Oh..."

He looked to the dead end he had come upon and smirked. "Here we are."
She peered over his shoulder and frowned. "Um...Link? Thats a dead end."
"Not for long. Stand back aways."
He placed a hand on his sword, concentrated, and preformed his swordbreaching maneuver, slicing throgh the stone with ease and carving a doorway in the wall.
A horrific stench slapped the two and Leida gagged.
"By the stars! What is that stench?!"
"A Hutt Sewer." Link said as he sheathed his blade and led her on. "Watch your step."

Mandalore's shuttle sat on the edge of the Dxun mandalorian settlement, the three Mando'ade drawing the nervous glances of the natives as the casually sat around a circle Mandalore had drawn in the dirt, Cleaning and oiling their weapons.
No one aproached the trio of warriors. The Mandalorians were afraid. They were afraid of Mandalore the Immortal.
He was supposed to be dead.
Yet he sat there, calmly running an oiled rag along the barrel of his disasembled blaster pistol, as he often did back in the day when he had led the Mando'ade. He had always stressed preperation and readyness.
To the older Mandalorians, it was like they were watching a ghost. many had been trained by the Man. Many had considered him akin to their father. And many had seen the footage of when he had been killed.

Mandalore, Wedge, and Voor continued to clean their weapons, waiting for the Commander of the Dxun Mandalorians to show, so they could complete their buisness.
It would not take long.

After a while, Overlord Mynock came out, blaster pistols ready to draw, and virboknives secure at his side. He stopped just in front of the circle and performed a traditional Mandalorian honorary. "Welcome, Mandalore the Immortal. Ready to begin, as always?"

The Heaven's Fury soon found itself some distance from Naboo. Doing business straight with a battlecruiser isn't exactly comfortable for either side, so Angel and some of her crew went down via transports to make deals with the legit merchants they could find, having already been done with all the not-so-legal merchandise with a few smugglers.

(( Ironic no? They do business with the very people they'll just as soon hunt down. Oh, and I'm not against Freya and company bumping into Angel here. ))

Voor stood imediately, his massive frame towering over Ordo.
He gave a bestial growl and his Vibroblade ejected from his gauntlet. "Mir'osik!!"
Mandalore raised his hand, causing Voor to stop and retract his vibroblade.
The Muscular nonhuman continued to glare at Ordo, the visor of his helmit staring with deadly promise upon the man.
Mandalore didnt bother looking at Ordo, continuing to clean his pistol.
"Tell me, Boy. What makes a Mando?" he asked of Ordo, his tone that of an elder to an insolent child.

Ordo made no rebuttle; he was well into his adult hood, even though this man was easily elder than him. "A Mando wears his armor, speaks Mando'a, defends himself and his family, raises his children as Mandalorians, helps his clan succeed and better itself, and above all, rallies to the call of his Mandalore."

Picking his words carefully, he went on. "And despite what you or anyone else may believe, I serve my Mandalore before all others."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 24, 2006 8:01 pm

Mandalore finished cleaning his gun and began reasembling it.
"I didnt ask what it takes to become a Mando. I asked what made a Mando."
He connected two pieces with a loud click.
"You're still as stupid as ever."
He finished assembling the gun and tossed the pistol to Wedge.
He stood, standing easily as tall as the younger Mando.
"Its been ten years, boy. And you still know nothing. I would have thought you would have gotten smarter. Imagine my disapointment."
He crossed his armed over his chestplate and looked at the man's equipment.
He shook his head wordlessly and then looked straight at Ordo.
"So, do you got anything you want to say to me before I give you the a** kicking that your Mother and Father should have given you?"

"Not unless you want to hear it. If that's all you have to say, then I forfeit my life now in the knowledge that you'll never get off the planet alive should this meeting fail. I understood your question quite thouroughly, but you've failed to realize how much is at stake other than your people." He pulled out his pistols and threw them aside. "If you really want to kill me, then do so. I'll die with my honor intact."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 24, 2006 8:11 pm

"I'm listening, Ordo." Mandalore said impatiently.
Voor and Wedge shook their heads at Ordo's statement.

((Um... Since when has Onderon had ground defenses? You removed all the ships from this system for an assault, remember? If they had real defenses they wouldn't have joined you in the first place. Since you gave them defenses I'll just have to take them away. Also, you can't detect the ships once they enter the air cooridor. So you took potshots at the ships as they maneuvered toward the nebulous cover of the cooridor.))

Borill frowned as the shots from the two batteries splattered across his shields, they were far out of effective range, and without defensive shielding... "Idiots, have the skirmish group show them why they're idiots."

With a pair of brilliant green flashes the lead frigate shot out turbolaser fire toward its targets. Within seconds the two defensive installations disappeared beneath the sustained fire. With those defenses elimenated the ship shifted its targets to eliminate the ground sensor stations, then they struck a couple hanger bays removing what few spacecraft the planetary governments had available. In less then a minute the two worlds were blind and defenseless.

Borill drummed his fingers, "Ground defenses... where is he getting all this equipment. We're lucky he doesn't have a couple Gencores." Frowning Borill turned to Kusei, "Isn't it improper to shoot at us why Mandalore the Immortal is dueling?"

PostPosted: Tue Oct 24, 2006 8:32 pm

Kusei nodded. "It also means he's not fighting with a united command. Not surprising given who he has made alliances with. Frankly, this proves we can't trust them in the least. Remember that next time they wave a white flag. My recomendation is to threaten to start blowing holes in Onderon's surface."

Borill smiled, "I may like your direct thinking, but there are other concerns. So long as Onderon remains habitated and valuable we can rest assured that Elladan Kenet will want it, and that makes him predictable... and a predictable opponent..."
