Reck tilted his head also.

Kei sighed "Fine... since I have to..." She closed her eyes as she was told.

Reck pulled an item from behind his back and reached across Kei's neck.
"No peeking."
He tied a necklace around her neck that was pulled through a small shiny piece of onix.
"Ok, and open."

She opened her eyes and looked down. "It's pretty... thank you... I love it." She touched it gently with one finger...

Reck bent over slightly near Kei and looked at the necklace he just put around her neck.
"It was my mothers. This piece of onix saved my life once. I was attacked out of nowhere while on a mission and a bandit threw a knife at me. If I wasnt wearing this around my neck, I would be dead right now."
Reck then reached underhis shirt and pulled out an identical piece of onix on a necklace.
"The knife split it in two but slowed it down enough for it not to be fatal. I hope this will bring you luck like it did to me."

Kei smiled softly. "Thank you brother, I'm sure it will bring me loads of luck no matter what. She reached over and gave him a hug.

Reck blushed a little then wrapped his arm around her giving her a hug back and let go within seconds so no to create an awkward moment then turned around.
"Yah, well uhh, no problem. I'll be back in a year to see you again so you better be ready to tell me what you've been up to. ok?"

Kei stopped for a moment. "So you're just gonna leave right now? Well I suppose you have a long way to travel... so I guess I'll see you later then..."

Reck looked up at the sky and sighed.
"Well its getting kinda late and I have a ways to go..."
He then looked back at Kei and gave her a thumbs up.
"..but I always have time for Kei-chan. Race you there!"
And with that Reck took off towards the Cafe dashing like a mad man.

After two years of training in the mountains, Reck came back to the village walking through the main gate with a bag over his shoulder looking down the street. He took his stuff home then went out into the streets to see whats changed.

Reck ran through the streets at super fast speeds with only a shockwave following him and Kei over his shoulder. He then kicked the ground and skid to a stop letting Kei down and colapsing to his hands and knees sweating perfusely and trying to get over the exhaustion of opening three gates.
"Huu....hhuuuu....you...ok Kei...?"
