[[ Lmaao! ]]
Alex narrowed his eyes, and would still remain a calm set of breathing as taught. He was not cocky like the two twins who were obvously over confindant in themselves.
Alex manuvered himself in a ready stanced while on his knees knowing this height difference would give them the upper hand, his hands neared eachother and arouns him would form a dark aura ready for an offenive attack or ready to really forced them on their knees since it was realy what they deserved.
As the dark aura would form around his hands and body he kept his eyes upon the two boys, ready for anything. His body came rather cold by this ice like spell while stil upon the ground His would lift his hand and his dark aura would form around the two teens to then begin to lift them some, their movment was limted yet able.

Mie-tanuki "I'm ready," Alti said, almost before the other had finished speaking. "Really, the sooner we leave, the better. If I stay, your prince's tour guide might decide that I need to know the history and architecture of the laundry room." It was obviously a joke, but he said it in such a bland way that if one had not been listening to his words, they would have thought he was speaking seriously. [[Haha. I suck so hard.]]
Haar stifled a grin.
The boy's dry sarcasm was enough to make the most bland person crack a smile, but he wasn't being paid to enjoy the company of others. He was supposed to be gone already... He should've left Alti behind, he should have escorted the boy home already to be honest. His mother hadn't seemed thrilled at where her son had ended up, or simply gone from her presence for that matter.
He didn't have time to be mulling over what he should've done.
With a glance towards the main lobbies, Haar nodded with a hint of a smile, "Well, we wouldn't want to put you through something so horrible as another tour," he murmured before turning to the boy, testing out his bandaged fingers against the sheath of his sword. Starting towards the enterance, the young man whisked up a few dark red cloaks, not bothering to retrieve his formal coat. The scar was a good enough sign as to who he was... With a slightly distant expression, the commander handed one soft cloak towards Alti.
It didn't take but a few minutes after the order was given that Haar was opening a carriage door for the younger boy, glancing down the pathway towards the borders for a moment before climbing into the transport himself. He had seen frost. Frost in the fire nation. It wasn't a lot, but it was on the grass, and soon enough it would creep towards the roads...they might even have some snowfall. The thought wasn't comforting...

Alti took the cloak and put it on with only minor difficulty. The clasps here were apparently different from the ones favored in his own kingdom. He followed after Haar, watching as the small, stifled smile on the other's lips was slowly replaced by a vacant, drifting sort of expression. He climbed up into the carriage and took the seat farhtest from the door - the window seat. A small sense of de ja vu reached him as he remembered this was the exact place he had sat in in his earlier carriage ride with the other.

He would've liked to look out the window to amuse himself throughout the ride, but Alti was sitting there and Haar didn't exactly want to make eye contact. Now, Alti's eyes were a lovely shade, something uncommon even in his own nation so the thought of looking at them was not entirely unpleasant at all... but if he did he knew he'd have to say something...
And what was he supposed to say? He had already ran all informal questions into the ground and then beaten them afterwards for good measure- and of course Haar was someone who would cut off a limb before getting personal with most anyone so he couldn't really ask anything of that nature... or at least he really didn't want to. He could explain things about his life because he didn't have a life outside of his work, and his past-
Well, that was something Haar would've liked to never bring up ever again.
Swallowing thickly, the young man turned red eyes towards the boy, staring with an intent look on his face at the strands of dark hair just above the boy's right eye. "You're- Are you feeling better...from a few days ago? I know you mentioned hurting your," he motioned to the boy's ribs, "Bruising, rather..." His voice trailed off as he let his eyes drop just a bit further downwards.
[[Haar's so socially inept. I love it.]]

((Did you see my Liao post? I was afraid I didn't make it noticeable enough... xD;;; ))
Alti looked up as the other spoke, surprised. He had rather expected going in silence to the Death Kingdom. Not that he minded talking... well, okay, he usually minded talking. But Haar didn't seem the type that would talk about anything unnesecarilly, so he didn't mind. Having been startled from his own thoughts, he did not at first catch what the other had said. "Hmm? Oh... uh... I'm fine," he said with a small shrug. "It doesn't hurt so much... and even if I'm completely useless as far as my family goes, I know at least a little healing magic." He sat back against the frame of the carriage, his eyes raoming across the other. For some reason Haar didn't seem to want to meet his eyes...
Well, it wasn't as if that was anything new. Back home, almost no one ever looked Alti full in the face. He was, after all, supposedly some kind of mistake. And his eyes seemed to scare the majority of the Storms people. He had thought it would be different here... that perhaps... Well, it didn't matter. Not really, anyway. And Haar didn't seem afraid of him, which was a good thing.... It would be very weird if a commander were afraid of a simple noble.

[[Yep. I have 1/3 of the whole post written. I just...haven't finished it yet. nwn;;]]
"Good."
He had been listening, but...halfway through he had slipped. Was it because he was tired? Stressed? Angry? He was frustrated with Peyton, frustrated with the prince, frustrated with his country--
He had slipped. He had let his eyes dip, flickering between the strands of purple hair back towards those...eyes. They were an unusal color, that's for sure. They weren't exactly orange, and yet they weren't exactly yellow or any sort of golden shade either. They were some sort of mix and Haar would be damned if he denied they were nice to look- Snuffing out the thought with a hint of a frown, the young man leaned forward, holding out his gloved hands in front of him.
"Hold out your hands." It was an near order, but not quite so intense as one would be.

Confused, the dark-haired teen complied. What in the world was going on? Alti had watched as Haar's crimson gaze had drifted slowly down to meet his eyes - and then flickered away again. Were his eyes really that hideous that even Haar couldn't look at them? Well... it wasn't Haar in particularly. But he had thought... maybe... that it would be someone from the Kingdom of Fire that would mind his eyes at least a little bit less than others of his own kingdom.

Keeping his gaze lowered, the young man slipped off one glove, holding both hands just barely above the others. This wouldn't work if they were more than an inch or so apart, and it would if their hands had been indeed touching but the fire native didn't...he could simply write it off in his head that he didn't want to scare the most likely confused teen...but-
Looking up a slight smirk, Haar murmured something under his breath. Nothing happened for a moment or so but suddenly a sharp crack sounded where their hands were the closest. A sort of sizzling noise occurred when the young commander let his hands hover an inch or so above the other's.
"Interesting," he murmured with a small grin, eyes focused on the teen's pale hands.

Alti watched, an expression of confused apprehension on his face. When the sharp crack sounded, he jumped, jilted. It was a deffinate surprise and no one could have blamed him for that, but all the same his cheeks burned with embarrassment. He was a little... uneasy about the sizzling sound. "What... what's interesting?" he questioned, voice quiet. He wasn't sure that he would like anything the other found 'interesting.'

[[Sorry, I was on the phone~]]
Haar laughed.
"It's supposed to be a spell to measure how much stored magic you have left, it might be a different wording in other nations but that's the one used here," he explained before shaking his head, "Don't worry, it doesn't mean anything," he murmured with a slight grin.
"Everyone has some traces of other magic in them, you could just have a distant relative that was a pure blood from the fire nation and their magic is prevelent in you," he added, red eyes drifting upwards for a moment before flickering past the window. "You'll have to try out some fire magic later, if you...want, of course. I would like to see what you're able to do."

"Well... I'd have to say I doubt that..." he said slowly, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I guess it's as close as I've ever gotten to proof that Mum really did take up with someone from the Fire Kingdom," he said with a small shrug. He didn't seem at all disturbed - he had gotten over that years ago. If anything, he seemed releived. At least now there was a reason he was useless as a healer - and for most other Storm magics, besides music. He paused and then gave Haar a smile - a real, broad, happy smile. "That would be nice... I've always tried to do magic and I've never really been any good at it... maybe it's because I never tried Fire. Mother never let me... but I probably wouldn't have, with or without her telling me not to. I was kind of... mmm... scared of proving everyone else right, I suppose you would say."

Haar knew what it was to have rumors spread about you, in more ways than one. He had never been thought to be anything but a native from the fire nation, but...the accident... It had kindled his neighbors fears about him, that he was some sort of dangerous thing that shouldn't have been born into the lower class. Haar was by no means a noble. He had never been, his parents had never been, and so on and so forth had never been associated with regal blood.
Peasants of their nation weren't supposed to have such affinity for fire. Some people might have found the reasoning illogical, but his nation's lower classes had little to no ability to perform magical feats. But...he had been an exception, apparently, disproving the theory of noble blood ties to strong magic. He had been feared for that reason and after the accident- Everything had fallen apart.
The most recent rumor wasn't such a horrible one. With a glimmer of a sly expression, Haar mused over the object of that rumour. It had been true. He had been hanging around the ice lands much longer than necessary...but- With a shake of his head, the young man dismissed all other thoughts on the matter. That was the past. Looking over at Alti, the brunette whispered away the remains of the spell, returning his glove to its proper place before resting his hands against the dark red of the cushions. "I'd be more than happy to test a few simple fire spells out with you, but if you'd really like to know your heritage, wouldn't it be wise to simply ask your mother?" He asked, red eyes bright against the glum outdoors.

At this, Alti had to laugh - a laugh that lasted for quite some time. He hadn't laughed in such a long time that it was hard to stop. When at last he did, on hand clutching his side while the other wiped a small tear from the corner of his eyes. "Ahh... sorry... it's just... you've met my mother... you've seen what she's like. Do you honestly think she would tell me anything? She's completely over-protective... and she's also shrewd and good at keeping secrets. That's why it's still a mystery as to who my father really is. There have been investigations and everything... but she somehow managed to cover it up. And she's entirely impossible to deal with, too... She would never give me a straight answer if she gave me an answer at all."

Haar shrugged with a small smile. "It doesn't hurt to ask," he murmured, turning his head towards the window with a soft laugh. His mother didn't seem like someone who'd open up, no, just tease her way out telling anyone anything. She also seemed to keep people even more distant than he did (which was quite a task).
"You'd think she'd let you have the right to know. Not like it's a big deal other than the fact that you may not be great at storms magic," Haar murmured, eyes scanning the gloomy weather outside. It was obvious they had entered the death kingdom's borders, the whole sky was dark and...ugly, in his personal opinion, a cold, rainy sort of look.

"But it is a big deal..." Alti said with a sigh. "Or, at least, it's supposedly a big deal... I'm the sole heir to a prominent healing family - the most well-established and well-known line of healers in the entire Nation - and I'm completely useless. I'm also a noble with blood very close to that of the prince's line... or... it would be, had the prince been born of the royal family..." he murmured, his eyes flickering to a close. He could feel the onset of a headache begin to take its place... "Uhh... but... really, you've no idea how big of a deal they make of blood in my kingdom. The majority of our citizens have very diverse blood... most can successfullt weild two or three types of magic... so the royal line is thought to have to be pure. Otherwise, there's nothing separating us from the regular citizens. I... I'm not sure if it makes sense, but people don't usually like the thought that someone average has power...." Alti shrugged to show that he didn't entirely understand what he was saying, either. Everything was so confusing when you had royal blood...
