Byakko continued to run, making sure that nothing would trip him up. Finally it seemed like he had out run it only for some familiar voices to start calling him from behind him. He didn't turn around though since there was no way they would be there in his dream while a Jabberwocky was around. Why anyone would turn around when there was a Jabberwocky chasing them was beyond him. Though he was curious as to how the voices came to be, whether it was the Jabberwocky or some other creature in the forest imitating the voices.

Just like the thought, he didn't have enough time to grab both items as shortly after he grabbed the item, the Jabberwocky was back. And it seemed ticked off. It managed to hit Byakko with what would have been a devastating attack but thankfully the second change potion did it's job. The attack made him very glad he had decided to go for the second chance potion since the heath potion wouldn't have made any difference if he had that one instead.

[Attempt 2, The Chase Part 1]

Ugh... Well that royally sucked.. Lady grumbled to herself as she respawned (Wtf that was a mind trip in of itself). Sighing to herself when she heard the tell tale russle, Lady just bolted from where she stood as fast as she could.
HP: 10

With his measly 2 health left, Byakko managed to escape the Jabberwocky. It lost interest in him and went after some one else as he exited the dark part of the forest and he was extremely thankful, though pitying of the poor person it had gone after next. He stood there, panting, at the edge of the woods and listened for a bit just to make completely sure that the Jabberwocky had given up on him and gave a sigh of relief when he was pretty sure it had. He leaned against a nearby tree then slid down onto his rear end to give his legs a rest for a moment. He didn't fully relax however since he was still too close to the forest. It was a welcome break from the panic and running however and he wanted to enjoy it for a few minutes before he got back up. Thankfully he didn't get attacked for those few minutes he was resting and he got back to his feet and started to walk to somewhere hopefully safer.

He was sober again, after the tavern. Shuffling back to the woods, k1ng despondently looked around the Tulgey Woods, tired of all the whimsy that this world provided in spades (and hearts, and diamonds, and clubs).

In the distance, the cracking of wood sounded, splintering trees and the cacophonies of their crashes. All the woodland creatures were abandoned their homes, seeking safety in earnest. Rabbits dashed around his feet, fleeing from something large and surely so, so hungry.

With a hesitant turn of the head, k1ng looked back.

Oh, what a fool's mistake that had been.

<< Run, scareling, >> Aleria urged, their low grade panic ratcheting higher as the monster opened its jaws to consume. k1ng shrieked as he ran, the thundering footsteps trailing closer and closer behind him. The Jabberwocky was fast and he was slow: and so, with its terrible jaws, it snapped. Just once. It only took once to damage him enough to trigger a warning from his device, a constant reminder that he was close to being knocked out.



<< Faster, >> Aleria urged, their voices in duality layered together, lending k1ng their stability where he had none at all. One more snap around his ankles, bringing him further down in the red.



Terrified, k1ng dove into a rabbit's hole, crawling through the tunnels with nothing but panic in his veins. He didn't know what would happen, if he was caught. This was just a game, he reminded himself, it was just a game.

ALICE's words flooded his mind (The only way you can leave is to defeat the QUEENS.), a reminder that even if was just a game, he was stuck here. There was no getting out.

There was no leaving.

Tacel had really been enjoying her nap in the woods. They were good woods, great for napping in, but all that came to an end when the forest began to shake.
The gryphon roused herself, grabbed her hat and got to her feet just in time to get a nice bite from a big scary something.
It was a big scary something that hurt a lot.

[ENTERING]

Valendil breathed a hitched sigh of relief. The talking trees stopped their infernal shrieking and fell silent. As he kept up his trek, he noticed the silence was almost dreadful.

"What is coming?" he asked quietly leaning against a tree of the most violent purple he had ever seen. The tree shuddered but did not answer him. With a huff, Val kicked the tree's roots lightly.

"Fine! Don't speak you accursed splinter!" he shouted. A sharp pain caused a scream to tear from him. Ivory daggers (teeth) splintered his shoulder causing a great amount of pain and a greater amount of fear. And Val was not one to feel fear frequently.

He tore at the thing's maw and managed to wiggle free. Turning about defiantly, he stood his ground. "Lloth be damned," he spat rubbing the bloodless wound.

"You have 10 hp left. You should run." The suggestion was sharp and teetering on obnoxious. A borderline insane grin spread across his face and the remaining spider legs attached to his back thrashed in anticipation. He moved to attack and the creature's jaws closed around him and pushed him to the back of the thing's long throat and he was falling again.

He fell with a wet splat onto the forest floor. Gasping he rose to his feet, shaking uncontrollably. The wound was gone. He was alive. But how? He felt the thing's muscles pulling him to its gut.

And there is was staring him down with a dark dragonish grin.

The teeth found his side this time and once again his hp fell. The card scoffed out his hit points and he chose to claw at the jabberwock's eye. As the creature roared in rage InfinityLegg3d turned and bolted.
