Let's have some fun! This beat is sick!
With her new-and-improved fan spread out before her, Special launched into the battle. She highly doubted that lasers could affect the mist-like demon and Daemon seemed to be fighting it, so Special decided to avoid those two. Her primary focus at the moment was reaching Ace and seeing if she was okay. Fire suddenly erupted from the mist demon and a bit of it headed her way, causing Special to quickly dive to the side and roll into a somersault. She sprung up out of range of the fire and rapidly approached Ace. Once she was next to her and Raine, Special asked, "Ace, are you okay?"

It would probably still be this one. I just like to think in terms of sequels. Most books I read have one huge plot that expands over multiple books, so that is how I think of it.
