XXXI WAIT FOR THE DAY AND THE COURAGE TO SAYxx↗↗

Nai entered the palace, information gathered, As usual, the girl's face was hooded and covered and she was dressed in her usual black clothing. She stood straight and walked smoothly, almost delicately in the sense that her feet seemed ready to react at a moment's notice. Old habits died hard, particularly useful ones that Nai did her best to keep in top condition. Underneath her arms was the stack of papers with the suspect's face. She hadn't shown it to anyone in the city yet. No, publicity she would leave with the rulers and those standing in the spotlight of power. She herself would work not necessarily in the shadows but definitely outside of that spotlight.

The girl raised her head ever so slightly when she was addressed, a thoroughly useless move that she wouldn't have done if X hadn't insisted on how most people reacted in such a way. Then, the girl went straight into the explanation she had constructed, which received a sneering reprimand from the summon, {Have you forgotten already? You're supposed to bow, remember?} which Nai made no physical reaction to. She didn't even care much mentally, actually, her mind was almost completely focused on getting the words she had planned (with X's scathing help, of course) out of her mouth. "Kora Summer?" the girl began as she held up part of the stack of papers she had brought with her, "Here are pictures of the main suspect behind the body-switch problem."

The informality of the sentence as a whole and Nai's monotone voice gave a sort of uncomfortable feel to the sentence as a whole despite it's correct grammar. Nai had improved slightly, but she had quite the ways to go. the girl thought, disliking the extra effort she unnecessarily had to put in.

With her one free hand, Nai rummaged for a moment in her pocket before taking out a neatly closed envelope, inside which there was a note. It was something X had asked for from the king of Osiris and dropped quite unceremoniously on her head while traveling. In Tsukiyomo's (the king's twin) neat handwriting, the note would explain why this man was thought to be the culprit:

Greetings Queen Kora,

How do you do? I am Tsukiyomo Hoshi, assistant and twin sister to the king of Osiris, Amaterasu Hoshi. I write this letter in the hopes that it will clear up any doubts you may have to the suspicion of the person who our messenger delivers pictures of, and that by clearing any doubts, you will agree to help us search for this man.

As you might know, when the spell took effect, those affected fell into a slumber. After that slumber, chaos ensued when people saw that their body was no longer their's. As a result, it was naturally difficult to find people who could inform on anything suspicious happening immediately after waking up. However, with some difficulty, we did manage to find several reliable witnesses who reported seeing a young man running with a frightened and focused disposition out of a certain shop. Fear is, of course, expected in such a situation, but those who feared wouldn't have likely been focused. This behavior marked him as one of many suspects at that point.

From the initial search, we took on a deeper investigation into each of the individual suspects. In the young man's case, the shop was searched and evidence of blue magic was found. Blue magic is known to be tied in with lust-related magic, which in turn was related to body-switch spells (although, there are several other methods to perform such a spell). Regardless, with this stage of the investigation done, this man now was one of the few remaining suspects left and the most suspected out of them all.

Regardless of our opinions, though, we executed the next step of the investigation in an equal and unbiased manner, looking just as deeply into the personal information of the remaining suspects. In the case of the young man, we found that not too long ago, he had put up an advertisement asking specifically for two assistants, specifying one of each gender. While there is the possibility that this queer request could have just been the result of some sort of possibility quirk, there was the larger possibility that this arrangement of assistants was required so that they could be used as components of a spell.

We continued our search for evidence, now having shed ourselves of all other suspects. In Osiris at the least, this man was the most likely creator of the spell that caused the body switch. However, we were still missing some key information to even begin the search to bring this man into questioning, namely his appearance. While those who had just woken up from a switch may have glimpsed the man, a mere glimpse wasn't enough to make out any defining features other than general colors and such. For a while, the trail went cold and we asked throughout our city for any information. Luckily enough, the people who had been switched into the bodies of the test subjects heard our pleas, came up to the proper authorities, and reported what information they knew. The amount of new information was small, most of it had already been gathered in the previous stages of the investigation, but invaluable. From it, we gained the information to create the general image of the culprit that you probably hold in your hands right now.

Admittedly, even with all the evidence we have gathered, we remain uncertain of whether or not our prime suspect is truly guilty. As a result, we plan on putting him on trial fairly and civilly. If you wish, you may interrogate him as well to ensure that we don't wrongly accuse the man. I trust that with your reputation as a kind queen, he will not be done any wrong while in your hands and would not be able to wish for anything more.

If, perchance, your country has another suspect in mind for this case, then please send us your reason for suspecting the suspect and any information on the suspect so we could decide for ourselves (as I am sure you are doing right now) whether or not the guess is likely and then proceed to hunt for Kusana's prime culprit in addition to our own.
