Verin had wandered into the library sometime earlier in the morning and had spent all his time hovering about the books on magic. As he flipped through each, he read about mechanics and ramifications of magic that he already knew. They also told of spells that he already knew; nothing in these books was news to him. He had emptied half the shelf of the books on magic, and the towers on the table behind him were steadily growing. His mind wandered and touched something of interest that he hadn't known about before. Whatever it was, it was behind the black curtain. Verin smiled and thought about the ancient texts behind that curtain that told tales of ancient power and depicted dangerous spells of olde. He walked over and stood in front of the black curtain, and he reached out to pull it aside. Unfortunately, the librarian saw him. She went from her desk at the front of the library to standing in front of Verin in a way that reminded him of Mrs. Bitters from a cartoon. "Stay away from this curtain! No one is allowed in or near it without a pass issued by myself." Tch. Verin snorted at the librarian, then spread his wings and leapt up to the top of one of the monstrous bookshelves near a group of students who seemed wrapped in a conversation. There's got to be a way to get behind that curtain, with or without a pass. The librarian probably won't just issue these passes to everyone and their brother... The librarian looked up at him and then to the massive towers of books he had amassed. "Put these books away if you're done with them, please." He looked down at her and replied, "Do it yourself." Gen looked up at him with agitated eyes. "I'm a librarian, not a maid. You removed them from the shelves, please return them to their proper place." Verin hopped down, saluted Gen snidely, and went to the skyscrapers of books. He placed a hand on them and said out loud, "Yutsu dal whence dos doerrus." The books lifted into the air, and then flew toward the shelf, organizing themselves in the exact order they were in before he removed them. Having a knowledge of every book on the shelf better than anyone on the grounds, she seemed slightly surprised that a student knew a language as ancient as the one spoken by the ebon-skinned elves that dwelled in the Underdark so long ago. Few still lived today, and the campus even had one drow student. Verin returned to his perch on top of the shelf and began pondering on how to ascertain entrance to the restricted section.

Rubbing her neck, Sakura had not particularly enjoyed sleeping out of doors. She had been thankful that she had packed her cloak with her, just in case of emergencies. Surprisingly it was quite cold in the morning, which was completely different from where she had grown up. Growing up she remembered it being warm in the morning and growing ever hotter as the sun rose in the sky. Walking up the pathway towards the library, she hoped that it would be open. At least in here I can get some warmth, she thought, the hotspring was great last night but I shouldn't do too much of that at one time.

Pulling the door of the library open she walked inside and gazed around. It was early in the morning, so she did not expect that too many people would be around studying. However there were a few, doing some last minute cramming or even some work it looked like. She wasn’t sure, but at this time of the morning she wasn’t about to walk up to one of them and interrupt what they were doing. Strolling across the library she gazed up at the aisles of books, reading the titles of each of the books before finally settling down on one entitled Dragon’s Breath and Other Forms of Fire Manipulation. Looking around she saw a table towards the far side of the library that was completely empty. Strolling over towards it she took her pack off and sat in one of the chairs placing it in her lap.

Opening the book, she noticed it was quite old and looked as if it hadn’t been touched in months, possibly years. The dust on it caused her to sneeze creating a large cloud of dust that only seemed to make it even worse. Finally when the cloud finally dissipated she flipped through the book once before beginning to read it. She felt she needed some sort of knowledge of the layout of the book before actually getting herself into it.

Cat listened to Lancaster and nodded. She blinked a couple of times to keep the tears from falling again. She took a deep breath, smelling the musty air. "If...if she were to take a man and go back to Hyrule, then whether she is abused or not is upon the husband's choice. Likely, because the man would be under his law of the land, then he would not abuse her, but if he does, he is protected.

"Unless he is not a follower of the three goddesses and the royal family. If he is not a citizen, then still, he would only get a small punishment."

Cat looked at Lancaster again. "Unless a woman is in the Royal Family, then she would have no choice. There have been times when women have reported their husbands, but often, it ends in a death penalty for the woman, for it would be considered treason if the man is a follower therefore showing that she does not follow her religion; as confusing as it may sound.

"It's a beautiful land with just laws, but this is the only unjust one..." Cat looked down at the book, then down at her feet. "And I am the friend..." she whispered almost in-audibly to herself so he wouldn't hear.

Lancaster's jaw droped in a joking matter batting his eyes in fake wonderment. "My dear Kitten, no, I never would have guessed." He chuckled, patting her head. "Well if you are just obaying your law and this man from another land has threaned to take your life if you do not obay him you'd have no choice."

He took her hand and his personality changed in to that of a child in wonderment and joy. One could see that he was acting with quite a convencing grace and talent. "Oh it is you, the dark angel who I had rescued from the lake that day when we were children. Do you remember your promise? You promised you'd come back to me one day and be my bride. Finally you have come back to me. I knew our love was strong enough. If you turn back on your promise I sware I shall throw myself into the very lake that I had rescuded you from all those years ago." He kissed Cat's hand and batted his eyes lovingly before his own chuckle broke his own spell. He was back to normal. Quite the act he put on just now. "It is quite a simple process to fool someone of ones heart being stolen by another even if they are not in love. Its cold hearted but...at times it needs to be done if it means to save the life of another." He smiled. "Perhaps you should tell who ever is being mean to you that you have fallen for or promised yourself to another? Do you think that would work?" He asked quietly tilting his head.

Verin listened in on a conversation two of the students were having. Something about an unjust law and some such, but when the boy gave that long line, Verin couldn't help but chuckle. "Wonderful, Shakespeare's been reincarnated." He joked quietly to himself. He turned his head and saw the same girl before, reading a book about dragons and fire manipulation magic. Jeez...are we attached by a thread or something? Everywhere he had been so far, save for the lab, she had been, too. Outside the hospital, in the hot springs, and now in the library. Someone must've been trying to tell him something. Well, what he couldn't see in this world, he could see in another.

Verin closed his eyes and focused. Soon, his spirit lifted from his body, invisible to all but those with an incredible spiritual awareness. He floated above his corporeal form, and looked at the girl again. What he saw shocked even him. The girl was absolutely ensconced in spirits. They were floating near her of flying around her every which way. So...one or more of those spirits must be following me, and she tags along. The girl must've had an out of this world sense of spiritual awareness. She probably even knew all those ghostly wisps were all about her. He thought he could have a little fun with this. He passed through the bookcase, into to the floor, and then to beneath the table. He poked his upper half through the wood of the table and leaned forward with his intangible hands flat on the table. "You're surrounded by spirits, you realize that, right?"

Sakura nodded, and looked up from her book to see who was speaking to her. "I'm well aware of that thank you," she said softly, so as not to anger the librarian on duty. She recognized the young man from the hot spring the night before, but didn't want to say anything about it. Many different things were running through her head at that very moment, some about the book she was in the process of reading and some wondering why this particular young man had decided to keep showing up around her. Closing her book she set it on the table and looked the young man full in the face. Studying him for a moment she finally said, "is there something you need?" She wasn't sure whether he had been following her or perhaps even that they just happened to be in the same places at the same time.

Cat thought of what he said. She was not embarrassed at all by what he had said or did. She felt confused though at the spell he had went though, and blushed. It was odd though how he mentioned her being saved from a lake, for when she was young she did almost drown in lake Hylia.

But she felt as if he didn't understand how crazy this man was. ...How crazy Damien was. She looked at him, her eyes sad and angry at the same time.

"Lancaster...keep this from the others. I am trusting you...I am being forced to marry him; I do not know why. Lancaster, that passage I showed you in the law book, he has done all those things to me already. Abuse, striking, rape...he did all that. Your plan would work, but if I were to do such a thing...he'd come after me, and possibly you, Ame, and Tsuki as well. I will not endager you all. I refuse to." Cat looked at Ame, who seemed to be reading. She smiled for a brief moment, for Ame was still innocent, which was a good thing.

"That is why I came to Ria, to get away from him until I found an answer to permanatly get me away from him. He is a crazy man. Do you understand?" Cat said. She sounded angrier now, how she wanted to liberate herself from Damien but couldn't find the answer.

"Nope, not really." With that, he flew back toward his body, repossessing it. Getting to his feet, he leapt off the top of the bookcase and landed next to the table rather gracefully on one knee. Standing, he pulled out a chair and sat on it sideways. "Y'know, this is the third time we've happened to be in the same place at the same time. Seeing all those spirits, I figured one of them might've been following me. It's anybody's guess as to why, but that's my theory. After all, three meetings kinda rules out coincidence, now doesn't it?"

Lancaster smiled softly his eyes trapping her face in there gaze. They were soft, comforting, soothing and understanding as they sparkled. "You secret is safe with me my dear. But I do believe you should trust the others to help you. As long as you are in this relm you are protected. I am also sure the others would protect you from any horrible intent."

His eyes flashed again....what the hell? Some could just sware that his eyes changed but how? It was so fast it was hard to know what had happened. Lancaster was as stated before a gentleman with a very strange code of honor. He held so many more strange things within him besides that code but harming a woman or child was the number one code to never break.

He looked at Cat with a smile."You have my word I shall protect you from anyone and anything that trys to harm you." He said bow of his head. "I remember hearing some where that its the quiet ones who are really crazy." He chuckled as he looked over the other girls of his group. He felt obligated to protect each and every one of them.

Im confuzzled

Tsuki was looking around as she accidently bumped into one of the shelves, it slightly wobbled as suddenly boooks came pouring down from the shelves.
"Ah! What is this?! Why am I being targeted by these books...I didn't do anything..."
she yelled out in a soft amtter thought as she swiftly dodged the books, but it seemed to go on forever the shelves being so tall and filled with so many books.

Yep confuzed still

Ame blinked her eyes as she noticed Lancaster look at her, actually he had looked at each of them, but he gaze always made her feel as if she were the only one in the room.

Cat still looked extremely distraught. Ame hadn't heard the entire conversation, but she pretty much knew that this 'friend' was really Cat. Ame figured it was something she was embarressed about. But apparently she had just told Lancaster the truth. Because Lancaster's eyes took on a protective luster.

Whatever was wrong, Cat seemed to feel slightly better. Anyone would. Lancaster was a prince, he wanted to protect woman. Ame felt bad for calling him a womanizer. That wasn't what she meant. She just didn't know the correct term.

A crash behind her made her jump. Ame spun around and noticed Tsuki in her cat form dodging books. Ame wasn't sure whether to run and help her, or laugh. So she did both. She ran to the cat girl, giggling slightly. "Tsuki are you ok?" She asked, beginning to pick up the books. "What did you do?"

((Tsuki just to let you know, you like barely made your post long enough. This isn't a warning or anything like that, don't worry. I'd just thought I'd let you know that maybe you should extend slightly so you don't get one))

Cat nodded and understood. "Thank...you." she whispered to him. She would do as he said and tell the thers, but she didn't have enough energy in her to tell them.

She thought she saw Lancaster's eyes change. Well...she thought. Cat wasn't really sure what she saw in those eyes of his. They semed fierce and protective, but then it was gone.

Cat then heard a clatter of books, Tsuki dodging them and Ame trying to pick them up. Cat took the books from Ame and put them back down on the floor. Cat snapped her fingers and her fingertip was on fire. She formed a picture of a book with legs out of smoke. "Kanesh demi ork to na kar!" Cat ordered in Hylian.

All of a sudden, the books were standing as little soldiers in front of Cat. "Kanesh sondran maxu so na desh euk teh!" she said with a snap of her fingers at the end. The books walked to their place on the shelves like good little book soldiers. She looked down at Ame and smiled. "When I was taken care of by the libranan, many a time the books fell. It took me a year and one octorok, but I learned how to make them go back. It is handy, yes?" Cat said while smiling.

Lancaster looked at Cat, pretending that nothing was happening but in his mind he knew he may have to part ways from the ladies before the night feel. That form didn't worry him. They would understand that for the most part....it was something he was hiding, something he hid even from himself something that not even he with the knowlage he had he didn't know what this was. He couldn't even remember anything afterwards he just knew that he would be safer if he wasn't around anyone if this strange happening happened again. It had been so long since but everything showed signs of the last time this happened oh so long ago.

But what was causing these reactions? What would happen? When...why? No matter what he read he could not understand a lick of his own case. Oh stop thinking about yourself Lancaster, as long as you take care of yourself nothing is gonna happen. And stop worrying about the night, thats happened everday since you were a child. Bijou saw nothing of it. He just hated the strange personalities he would get.

Before he could dwell on his inner problems he heard the crashing of books. He looked over at the sound of the crashing, watching Tsuki running and doging books and Ame laughing while helping. He couldn't help but laugh himself while walking over to the place of crime. "My my, it looks like we have a little mess on our hands." he laughed. Just as he was about to help with the books he saw them grow little feet and start marching themselves back in their proper places. "Ah looks like the little kitten has a bag of tricks." He chucked as his hands wer placed in his pockets.

Sakura let out a small laugh from what he said, and covered her mouth quickly. Looking over towards where the librarian was sitting she made sure that her laugh wasn't heard. "I'll give you this much," Sakura said "You have a very interesting theory to say the least. However you have a flaw in your theory. You seem to believe that these spirits for some unknown reason control me. It is the exact opposite; these spirits do my bidding when I ask them to. It is a wonder you can see them at all, considering that most people cannot." She looked at him carefully, somehow unsure of what to make of what exactly he was. Sakura wasn't sure of herself enough to go ahead and ask him about it, so she stopped thinking about it too much. "They're wisp spirits you see, nothing much more than that. To the naked human eye they appear only as dust motes floating from the sunshine coming through the windows. They don't do much more than help me learn different spells."
