Skieth simply grinned as he blurred out of sight. The sound of him running the walls could be heard, but he was nowhere to be seen. He then returned to sight behind Rin and started shooting at her at point blank "Dodge THIS!" he yelled as he holstered his pistol and withdrew a small PDA like device. He tapped it a few times until a screen came up on it with various sigils on it. He tapped on a small angelic looking wing and in that second his body lit up and then his figure exploded. In its place, he now stood with spiky white hair, a metallic and gold mouth guard, with several other features, one of the most noticeable was an odd jacket that covered only the top half of his torso and his left arm. He also had an angelic lance attatched to his arm. 'The Angelo Basic should give me the edge in this fight, and if not I'll just bring in bigger guns' Skieth thought to himself as he turned his attention to Rin "Try this!" he said as he dove down at her with the lance

The door cracked open slowly at first, but then swung open with a small grunt emanating from behind it. Austin walked through the doorway, the door swinging shut behind him with a small click. He approached the front desk, heading towards the arena settings. "Let's see here..." Austin scrolled through the list of options, wondering if he should train in an environment or simply work out in the hall normally. He decided on the latter, and skipped over the arena selection. He went into the 'enemies' archive, and started scrolling through training monsters that Ria kept on tap. He stopped on a small group of wind manipulators, pausing to consider the option. "NAH. I'm too busted up to mess with this right now..." He clicked down a few pages, and found a group of Earth manipulators. Without hesitation this time, he clicked on the 'summon' button, smiling a bit as he did so. A small quote popped through his head from a movie he'd seen as a kid;'No matter how the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it.' "Heh. We'll see."
Austin took the starting position marked on the floor of the arena, and waited. A loud horn went off, and then, across from Austin, on the other starting mark, there was a large whirring sound, like mechanical parts going into action. The ground slid away, and a platform rose up. A group of 3 men appeared slowly, rising up from the floor. Only, they were not men; They were demons who had chosen the form of men. When the platform came to a stop and became even with the ground, a small siren blazed for just a second, and the overhead speakers grumbled out in a monotone voice: "Begin." The men spread out immediately. One thrust his hand into the ground, planting it there as if it were as pliable as beach sand. A large rumbling ensued, and a wall of spikes, made entirely of stone, began to thrust out in advance only a few feet away from Austin. Austin leapt back, but before he landed, a whirlwind formed beneath his landing space, and he mounted it. He knelt, and the whirlwind quickly thinned out, lengthening and launching him over the spikes just before they reached him. He did a single forward flip, to reposition his legs for the landing, and yelled out his summon. "By the binding winds-" He landed, and the other two demons were already at his sides, both swinging jagged, spiky clubs made of sandstone and quartz. Since the attacks were aimed at his head, Austin simply ducked, and the two clubs collided in unison. One of the demons reacted quickly enough, though, and swiftly kicked Austin in the weakest point on ANY man's body; the NADS. Austin crumpled in immense pain, but rolled away, to avoid being stomped on. He leapt to his feet, grunting slightly with each movement, which resounded pain on his part. He'd been kicked in the 'nads several times in high school, but this time felt like a baseball bat had been aimed straight for them, and the swinger was Babe Ruth, trying to take the game into Overtime. "You cheap bastards are in for it now." An encirclement of spikes quickly surrounded Austin, and began to grow, trying to impale him. He gripped an imaginary handle quickly. "BladeWhirl!" KazeKatana formed instantly in his hands, and a whirlwind followed quickly after, wrapping around Austin's being. He spun with almost invisible speed, and he struck at all of the spikes threatening him at once. They split off from the main body, and were sucked into the whirlwind. Austin leapt, removing himself from the encirclement, and took the spikes with him in his backdraft. He spun quickly in midair, and volleyed the spikes at one of the demons with quick kicks of his feet. The demon didn't react quickly enough, and was nearly cleaved in two when he was impaled by one of the larger spikes, due to its size. When Austin landed, he didn't hesitate to launch off at the demon controlling the spikes. He leapt left, and dodged right when the demon attempted to impale him in defense. When Austin was too close, the demon grunted with great effort, and a large wall, about 30x30 feet shot up from the ground, causing Austin to stop. A large crack formed at the base, and it fell over quickly, attempting to smash Austin whole. Austin, upon noticing this giant 'shield' was about to smash him, immediately thrust his hands out. He spun rapidly, and the whirlwind around him flattened out, spreading into a VERY wide 'ring' that almost consumed half the arena. Before the wall crushed him, Austin leapt back, and the prevailing current from his whirlwind carried him swiftly from harm's way, dragging him along in a half-circle, to the space directly behind the demon who summoned the wall. He leapt forward quickly, gathering up the 'ring' he'd just used to form a broadsword. He sliced the demon in half, and it burst into small pebbles, leaving nothing but ruined clothing behind. Austin looked up just in time to notice the last demon was charging at him. He leapt back and summoned another whirlwind, and mounted it quickly, rising into the air. The demon growled challengingly. He thrust his hand into the ground, and a large rod formed beneath him in the shape of a platform, which brought him up to Austin. He swung his club frantically, and Austin parried, having to move quickly to avoid being hurt. An idea hit him instantly like a bullet, and he ducked an oncoming strike. He released his whirlwind, and instantly began to fall, counting the seconds before he hit the ground. When he was halfway down, he swung, and sliced the pillar in half with a diagonal cut. The pillar collapsed, and the demon atop it, no longer having sound footing, fell off of it. Austin threw his sword at the ground, and it planted itself easily in his landing space. He waved his hand just before running into it, and it burst, creating a small cushion of air to soften Austin's landing. He bounced off of this 'landing pad' he'd made, and hit the ground with a great reduction of speed. He jumped up to his feet quickly, and ran, not wanting to be under the pillar when it crashed; and it did CRASH, with the demon, unluckily for him, beneath it. Austin sighed, and rubbed his package tenderly, wincing at his own touch. "Jesus, i think he popped one." Austin walked slowly over to the arena seating, sat down gingerly, and crossed his legs just as carefully. He pulled out a cigarette from his box, and with the flick of his thumb, lit it, taking a deep drag.

"The Spiritblade eh? Kind of a cliched name..." Ismaire mused to herself as she looked from her map of Ria to the signboard plastered above the large building she was currently standing in front of.
Ismaire took the last few drags of her dieing cigarette before tossing it on the ground and stomping it out. It's not like I have anything else to do today... besides unpacking... Might as well check it out.
Ismaire walked through the sliding glass doors into a desolate waiting area, glancing down at her watch, she noted the time, only eleven a.m. Of course no one's here, there all still asleep... which is what I should be doing, damn jet lag... She was distracted from her traveling grumbles by a flashing computer screen that showed that several of the rooms were labeled 'In Use'.
"Interesting, I wonder if I can just waltz in..." she removed her Teacher's I.D. from her jean pocket, "Of course I can!" She swiped the card through the electronic lock and strolled down the long hallway full of doors, most of which were unoccupied.
"Let's see what's behind Door Number One", Ismaire typed in her I.D Number and slid her card through the scanner, causing the door to open in a loud whoosh. Ismaire strolled through the door and noticed an older male student fighting off a trio of demons, deciding that the kid could handle himself, Ismaire climbed the stairs that led to the bleachers surrounding the arena. She leaned back in her seat and watched the boy's battle with partial interest
-------
Brushing back her long red locks, Ismaire reached into her pocket for her cigarettes and pulled out an empty package, "s**t.... Just my luck..." she swore, she stood up and did a full body stretch, sighing as each vertebrae in her spine cracked. Glancing downwards, she noted that the kid was done with his match and was... smoking.
Strolling down towards the kid, she noticed that he look pretty beat up, Maybe I should've offered my assistance... she mused.
"Hey, boy, care to share?" she gestured towards the cigarette in his mouth.

'Hey boy, care to share?' Austin's head couldn't have whipped around any faster, unless he had some kind of mechanism to assist him. When Ismaire signaled to his mouth, an odd thought flashed through his brain; 'Is she asking me to kiss her?' Coming back from his imagination, Austin was painfully reminded by the secondhand smoke stroking his eye, that he had a cigarette lit. "Sharing is caring..." Austin sighed lightly, pulling out a Natt Sherman black gold brand cigarette, and handed it to her, rubbing his irritated eye shortly after. When he could see with both eyes again, he looked Ismaire up and down for a moment, observing her features. "..so would you care to share your name, then?" She appeared to be much older than he was; a woman, definitely. Her features were fair, and she had bright red hair, which was different from what Austin was used to seeing around here; everyone liked using color-dye nowadays. He took a deep drag of his cigarette, ashing on the cuff of his ashy-grey pants and rubbing it in. A thought hit Austin again. "And come to think of it, just HOW did you get in here?"

Seyla stood at the top of the arena within a hidden viewing area. Many of the students were unaware of the existence of such rooms, with the exception of those who had participated in the star tests in years previous. On the outside, it looked like a part of the solid metal walls that curved about the arena. Inside however, was a warmer interior. There were plush sofas and and even a fireplace was lit in the center of the sitting area. Along the walls were monitors that had been attached to video cameras so you could see different angles of the fights that occurred.
Currently, she sat in one of the chairs towards the large window overlooking the arena floor. Within her hands she held a blue pen and a simple notepad. She liked to come here to find out more about the students. It wasn't that she was stalking, Seyla felt that she could help students if she knew more about how they fought and the elements they used. Watching them without their knowledge allowed her to observe them in a more natural setting. The boy currently training intrigued her very much.
Wind manipulation huh? she thought with a grin. Wind elementals were some of her toughest foes. Oxygen was essential in the equation of fire, and wind users could easily rip that away from her, leaving her flameless with relative ease. She paid extra attention to the boy as she erected herself in the seat. Now she was looking to find weaknesses, and ways she could circumvent the problem described above. She perked up a bit as two of the demons cornered him, curious to see what he would do next. To her surprise, he unveiled a katana seemingly out of nowhere. The moment reminded her of Zero's alchemy...in an abstract sort of way.
Damn! He's fast too! Memories of the star tournament flooded back to Seyla as she recalled her match in the second round. Her opponent was not only faster than her, but he was much stronger as well. Seyla herself was pretty quick, but she wasn't as speedy as this boy. She wondered if his element of wind aided him in this. The thought spurred some speculations of using her own fire manipulation in a similar way. Was there a way Seyla could use her flames to propel her and aid her speed? Probably not, but it wouldn't hurt experimenting with it at a later date in the training hall. She jotted down a small note on her notepad so she wouldn't forget, and continued watching the training exercise below.
The fight continued on, and the boy didn't seem to be faring too well. Seyla actually winced once or twice, imagining the bruises would be left on the boy's body. She felt herself begin to rally for him. Judging by his earlier movements, he shouldn't have been having so much trouble. But it was here that Seyla had found his weakness.
He's reckless. He runs around without watching his back and it leaves him open to attack. If he took more time to defend himself, he wouldn't come out so badly beaten. She watched as he started to hobble off from the arena floor gingerly rubbing at his aches and pains. She wondered if she would ever come across this boy again. Part of her wanted to help him overtake his shortcomings through training. However, Seyla had a lot of other duties to attend to as well. She volunteered at the church, worked as a tutor in the training hall, and then there was her own personal research and studies.
Her eyes swiftly moved to her gloved right hand. She still didn't know who had done this to her, and as more and more information regarding the incident came to light, she began to doubt military involvement all together. The question then became, "Who at Ria High would want to do this to her?" She let her thoughts sit for a moment before gathering her belongings and exiting the room. If this boy happened to run into her on the way out, she would converse with him. Similarly, if he ever stopped by the training hall for tutoring, she'd be happy to help him grow stronger. For now though, it would be on her terms. Seyla herself had a sudden desire to one of two places: The church for guidance, or the library for research.

Iraina looked at the map of the school, and something in particular had cougt her eye. "Hmm...an arena? Now THAT'S what I'm talking about." Once she reached the said area, she swiped her ID through and walked in. She noticed a sign.
"Loves hand to hand combat, eh? And all the other things too...sounds like an interesting person. I think I'll give this one a shot. Might as well brushen up on my skills while I'm here." Iraina walked into the waiting room to see Luna sitting there.

Luna looks up at the girl with silver eyes. Another girl, Valentina, who looks exactly like her eyes closed is slouching on the window in an almost meditative state and also looks up at the girl. Luna says "Maybe someone has read the post after all." she smiles and Valentina opens her eyes, glowing red. She says "Does this mean I get to fight?" Valentina looks at the girl form head to toe and smiles showing fangs. Luna smiles as well bearing her fangs. Luna says "Are you ready to fight?" stands up "My name is Luna, Im the one who put up the banner. However.." Luna waves to the girl with red eyes "She'll be the one whom your fighting. She has the same abilities as me, but she hasnt fought in a while and Id really like to get her started before I fight her."

She walks to a computer and enters in some info, changing the room their in into a spot of grass in the middle of a forest. Nearby there is a waterfall, and birds chirp all around. Valentina takes her fighting stance also, hands glowing black "My name is Valentina of Versaille. I am ready to fight."

Using telekenesis Luna makes a hand motion that sends two boulders flying at her enemy. She then takes the chance to perform a shadow manipulation move while she isnt looking and sends the shadows to lock around the enemies feet.

"What?! Damn, that's right...she uses telekinesis...I should learn to read more carfully next time," Iraina said as the shadow figures clutched her feet. She also noticed the boulders coming at her. Iraina knew she only had time to perform one attack, so she created a little flame and threw it down on the shadows, hoping it would keep them at bay.[Spazz edit; I've noticed that all of your posts prior to this one are too short, except for the first.
