"You always make me catch my breath." Lorey laid down on her back so her face could be by his, just looking up as she ate little bits of her food. She held up a strawberry to him that was almost as big as her fist. "We're sharing this one."

Richard smiled, taking a playful nibble off the tip of it. "Raquel and Damian had me thinking about the wedding...should we talk about it...even if justfor fun?" he asked, though really his nerves were on edge, wanting toat least have a few details in his head in mind.

"Sure... I was thinking of something... not too big. Maybe I'm just thinking small because I never thought I'd have a wedding." A sad truth to Lorey. She had always saw herself standing with someone at a court house, not in a dress or anything. No flowers, just a wonderful person who was probably too poor to afford more.

Richard nodded and smiled. "I'm not much of a big wedding person myself..." He sighed, recalling his and Roses's wedding. It was beautiful yes, but it was over the top, formal, military style, like his father wanted. He was still happy and in love...but it wasn't their wedding. "I'd like just our closest friends and family there...Enty's goingot be my best man..." He smiled, finding it funny. Truth be told, they couldn't have a giant wedding if they really wanted to. They didn't have much family or friends to invite. They just had their intimate small group an a few outside friends.

"I don't have anyone really who isn't close." Lorey took a bite of the strawberry, and held it up for him again. "I was thinking Raquel could be a bridesmaid or something... And maybe... Damian could give me away?"
She wasn't so sure if he would want to, or if Richard would want him to. True, Damian had loved her, and still did in a much more tame way.

"Hm." Richard layed on his back, head to head with her to look up at the sky. Sure he didn't really like Damian in the start... in fact he hated him. He had thrown Lorey onto the streets, tried to kill him in a drunken haze, and brought a young woman into their lives who at first brought a killer into their midsts...Roses's killer of all people.
But at the same time, He had provided and cared for Lorey in an offhand way over the years, much more upfront recently. He gave them all a home for the time being, keeping them all together and safe. In his own way, Damian was liek the father to all of them in this wierd little family. He kept them all going in more ways than monetarily. After mulling this over in his head for sometime, he nodded. "I think thats a good idea actually...God knows he deserves it...for all he's done..." He didn't really like complimenting him, despite how they had formed some strange bond close to friendship.

"Mm... well, we have awhile to think about it, right?" Lorey reached up to stroke his face as she thought about everything that could happen over the years. Finding a place to live would probably come before marriage. "Let's talk about our house again... Tell me everything that you want there, and I'll tell you what I want, too. Ooh, and do you think we should get married there?"
If everything worked out, then it would turn out to be a lovely place indeed.

"I'm thinking of stone or something sturdy, so it'll last years and years..." He said dreamily, closing his eyes as she touched his face. "And of course we'll have to get married there. It'll be the way of making it our own, and starting our legacy there." He smiled distantly, just picturing it in his mind.

"Legacy... we'll have a legacy." She loved the sound of that word. It sounded big and important, like the person she secretly wanted to be. For now, though, she would just have to be Lorey, working her way up and working her way to be stronger before they took the deep dive.

Richard smiled, loving how it sounded too. "30 something years from now...I want us to look back and remember this. Just lying in the grass, daydreaming about our future.." He turned to his side so he could get a little more to eat.

As he turned on his side, Lorey sat up a bit to kiss him. Her back still hurt at the bottom a bit, but she was so happy. They might have been so far from their dreams, but they would get there one day. They would.
"I bet you'll still be a looker when you're in your sixties," she said with a genuine smile. "The kids will take after you, I'm sure."

Richard only nodded in agreement because every child in his family resembled the father. Though there was one thing for certain. "They'd have your beautiful eyes..." He said softly. "And hopefully your disposition..." he laughed. Eyes had never been a hting to travel much in his family. He had his mothers eyes, but his father had his fathers eyes. It was just random with them. "And we'll raise them to never give up, to reach for their dreams like we have. To be whatever they want..." He smiled distantly.

"Yes, whatever they want. And they'll go to school, and maybe learn music, or become scientists. Who knows?" Lorey took his hand in hers, squeezing it tightly. "But I hope they have your energy and sense of humor. You always make me smile, no matter what."
Meanwhile, Damian was making calls. There was work going on, of course, but something in particular was being ordered. "...yes, that's the one. Beautiful detail, I know. So could you create it for me? ...ah, very good then. Tomorrow? Truly? ...ha, I forgot the magic of laser technology. Yes, payment will be made once I see the holo. I promise. Yes, you have a wonderful day as well, and thank you."
Damian took his earpiece out and rubbed his eyes. His surprise would be a little pricey for her, but hopefully it would make Raquel smile.

Richard nodded. "And they'll go off, and create their own little families...we'll have grandchildren..." His smile grew as he thought about it. "I plan on spoiling them rotten." An airy almost gigly tone took over him, *onl more manly* as he day dreamed about it with her.
He sat up though, noticing the hammock in the yard. "...I'm done eating...and I'm feeling a bit sluggish...Would you mind accompanying me to the hammock? We can continue our discussion of our dreams there.." he offered, standing and grandiously offering her his hand.

Lorey had eaten everything she had wanted, and was feeling just the same. Slowly but surely she got up from her spot on the blanket, and followed him over to the hammock where she crawled in next to him. It was big, and comfy. Lorey had never sat in one before, and was so scared of falling out that she clung to Richard for dear life. "Do these flip over?" she asked, making sure she was all in.
