Bleah, people always seem to assume I can roleplay combat without such things as if my attack hits, how much damage the attack does, if I can block or dodge my opponent's attack, and whatnot being decided for me by the computer... I literally have no instinct whatsoever for simulating fairly that kind of thing without a computer's help. If I am dressed like a character from a series with a combat system or if I even have a weapon with me... people think I'll be able to fight them.
I really am that dependent on having the battle be almost entirely computer controlled and that lost without a computer telling me how things are going.

Etna the sexy demon I did say you could work it off after you died and became a Prinny. twisted Better yet, why wait until you die? You can start working for me the moment the Prinny I lend you loses it's usefulness. twisted *tosses the Prinny into a mountain side* Get your Prinnies out of my sight! If there was anyone i would work for, it would be the Overlord. Also, I have my own servants to write my material. *handed a sheet a paper* Let's see...Your chest is so Flat that....I could put my hand on it? *crumples the paper and repetitively bashes the Ghost, each hit blowing up. Then ending it with a collision into the mountain in the distance, where the weak top falls on the weak monster* I need to control my anger.

Have it your way. But if I were you, I would hire better writers.
If if had actually been your idea to call me flat, though... -impales the servant that wrote the lame joke in the chest-
I guess I'll have the Prinny you rejected retrieved... when I feel like it.

Asuka Hayata attack hits, how much damage the attack does, if I can block or dodge my opponent's attack [...]... I literally have no instinct whatsoever for simulating fairly that kind of thing without a computer's help. Roleplaying combat isn't that hard. If it's not computer controlled, you have to describe your attack but leave out the end result (that is, if you dealt any damge, and how much you dealt, et c.). Your opponent should describe that for you, and vice versa.

Roleplaying fights is all about estimation of movement and knowing roughly what sort of reflexes, speed, and fighting technique/recognition your character is capable of. Honestly, a lot of people seem to have problems doing it realistically. This could be from lack of fight experience, and I mostly see people basing all of their material off of movies, anime, and superheroes. My recommendation: look up martial arts videos on youtube. Having good reference material is very helpful if you're not familiar with combat. 23rd Break UNL Reference is needed for this noob to get the ACTUAL spell card. What the hell is UNL? ... In other news, I am now in possession of a cool 1981 XV920. Bad news, it has to be serviced and the carburetor needs to be tuned. Hopefully it'll be working well by the end of the week, and then I go shopping for after-market seats (the stock one is fricking hard).

Hisoutensoku. For some reason, some uncouth people think that "Unthinkable Natural Law" is a GOOD TRANSLATION, and that it can be ACRONYMATED just as well. FEH! THE LOT OF THEM! *dismisses the notion* Shows how much they know about the game!

Huh. Hisoutensoku is a name though (the super-dreadnought listed) and the primary title. People don't call Mountain of Faith "Wind God Chronicle" after all.
So why not just call it Pursue the Super-dreadnought Guignol Enigma or something? It'd be more accurate by current naming conventions and in general, has a cooler acronym (PSGE), and maybe won't annoy as many people's sensibilities.

Bleah, not even the International version of White Knight Chronicles has the original Japanese voices. I know what game I won't be playing. I do not trust dubs.

Because all the current game acronyms aren't made after translations. They're made after the English parts of the official game titles. Touhou Hisoutensoku is the exception, having no English elements on it at all.

Wotan Manasal Because all the current game acronyms aren't made after translations. They're made after the English parts of the official game titles. Touhou Hisoutensoku is the exception, having no English elements on it at all. Yeah, I know, though I mostly mean that it seems strange to translate that part of the title. Most of the time the 東方___ is only vaguely related to the English part of the title anyway, and the English title goes after the ~. Trend breakers are naturally Hisoutensoku (Japanese subtitle) and Fairy Wars (which is reversed, though it has an english title in the background in-game). It'd be easier if everyone just stuck with SWR+. Oh, also, I like the folk metal you linked in the boss topic. Oddly, it sounds like it would be right at home in a Touhou-esque game. XD Asuka Hayata Bleah, not even the International version of White Knight Chronicles has the original Japanese voices. I know what game I won't be playing. I do not trust dubs. Good call, that game is amazingly mediocre. Pretty on the eyes, but a walking pile of cliché and wasted potential.

Valo Oh, also, I like the folk metal you linked in the boss topic. Oddly, it sounds like it would be right at home in a Touhou-esque game. XD Heh, that's why I picked those songs. ^-^ If you like that music genre, check out Falkenbach. It's an one-man band, and all their songs have a very "midi-esque" feeling. Vratyas Vakyas (the sole member) is practically the ZUN of folk metal.

Good call, that game is amazingly mediocre. Pretty on the eyes, but a walking pile of cliché and wasted potential. I see... it's just that I promised someone I would play the game with him once I had the money but once I looked the game up... no Japanese voices despite it being a Japanese game. Not even in the International version. I do hope my friend takes the news that I won't be getting the game well. I'll usually consider any game or show, regardless of how good it is, to be crap if it gets released dub only. I have to be desperate to watch or play it to do otherwise. Even then if I am that desperate I usually just choose to get it in the original language without subtitles I can read despite not being fluent in it.
