Below the Ship

Kurai felt useless deep under the water. "I wish I could help, there really isn't anything I can do down here." Sighing again Kurai launched herself out of the water and got a quick look at what was going on. Landing back in the water Kurai called for more whales. "Move it, we have to get back." A small baracoda came to her side. "Get to Nias and set off the alarm." Quickly the little baracoda took off to raise an alarm.

Sinrith back-flipped out of the way of the water whip. He didn't know Sho could do that with his mind. He held a defensive position his eyes shifted to take in the situations of his team mates.

Zeik jumped straight into the air to avoid damage. But it had taken him to long to notice the threat behind him to completely avoid the attacks. One of Fuego's fireballs hit the back of his leg searing flesh and setting fire to his pants. Cursing he swatted out the flames. Believing he had blocked the dangerous lightning with his black blade he failed to notice a stray lightning bolt find the tip of his metal sword. He heard the crackling sound as it traveled but it was too late to stop it. He convulsed in the air a few times, struggling to maintain flight. It was only a mild shock but it had affected him more than it would have most anyone else. Breathing hard he tried to focus his now blurry vision.

Vure looked at Kalm and shook his head making a clicking sound with his tongue; as if disappointed with him. His eyes were visibly clouding more. He didn't seem to care that lightning was so close to striking him. He flapped his mighty wings. His eyes drifted almost lazily to May; a satisfied smile spreading on his thin lips.

Zira grinned as the eagle made a sharp turn and headed back for her. At the same time Zira loosed three semi transparent orbs, that also headed for her. Zira pondered about the sudden appearance of Sora but not for long as she didn't believe she could have mastered teleportation so fast. Zira herself was still working on that one.

Sinrith took most notice of Vure's state and was relived. This battle might be over sooner than I had anticipated. he thought. Then he caught sight of Zeik convulsing in the air. He cursed under his breath. Shooting Sho a quick glance before swiftly vanishing to Zeik's side. His brows furrowed his face fighting against the emotions. He wrapped and arm around Zeik allowing him to rest a bit. Sinrith's head turned to look into Fuego's eyes; the look he gave him clearly said 'don't even think about it'.

Heme's Room

Heme stood satisfied, he swayed dizzily. He held several vials of liquid and two injectors, one filled the other empty. he slid the vials into an easy to reach pocket of he pouch and headed, as quickly as he dared, out of the room to towards the deck.

((Forgot about Heme))

Fuego rolled his eyes. Sinrith had nothing to worry about as long as Zeik didn't attack him. He wasn't going to kick someone when they were down. He still had his guard up. He wasn't sure what to expect. Apparently they wanted Izeno and Faven, so he guess the rest of the Pack didn't matter as much... That must mean it would be no big loss if they died...

Sho curled the water up in a ball, keeping an eye on Sinrith as he headed over the Fuego. As much confidence as he had in Fuego, he didn't think he could take on someone of Sinrith's level.

Kalm growled. He was mocking him wasn't he? Kalm took a deep breath. He needed to keep calm. If he became angry it would cloud his judgment. They didn't know the limits of Vure power. He could be hiding some other powers from them after all.

((It's funny... I've role-played as Fuego for a while now, but I'm still doing character development on him, getting know him, trying to get into character.))

Sinrith landed on the deck and leaned Zeik against him and stroking his hair. He wasn't really paying all that much attention to anyone around him anymore. He was thinking of his team, nearly all had been injured, most badly. His crew was the only thing that he cared about; it's the only thing keeping him human. He cherished them, they were his friends and companions. They shared strong bonds. As he ran his fingers though Zeik's hair he realized why this group cared so much for each other, even Faven. A single tear slid down his face and splashed on Ziek's pain stricken face. He realized that he would fight with everything he had and never give up if one of his team mates were taken. No more tears escaped his eyes. As he stood up, cradling Zeik in his arms. He turned to Sho and spoke. "I can't fight you anymore. I realize not only your group's strength but how much they mean to you. I know what you are fighting for." He spoke surely but his voice was choked with emotion. He shifted his gazed up to Vure, whose eyes were clouding rapidly now. "Vure, Knock it off." He said with a hint of teasing seriousness.

"Vure turned from Kalm to look at Sinrith and his brow furrowed, all anger gone. He smiled then turned back to Kalm. He swooped down until he was mere feet from him. "You fight good, sorry for the outburst I got caught up." he ended as if he was going to say more but didn't. His voice was clear, sing-song, and almost happy, as was natural for him. Turning to Faven he spread out a hand and the cords tuned into water. "Sorry." he simply said.

Faven looked up bewildered. He had no idea waht was going on but was in too much pain to really focus. He lay on the deck not even acknowledging Vure's apology.

Heme stepped out on the deck, swaying a bit. He surveyed the scene. There were a lot of people who could use his help but the one who appeared in the most critical condition was Rena. She was barely breathing. He headed towards her, not sure what he was going to do. He glanced over at Faven, he was soaking wet. Maybe he knew something that could help. Altering his path he soon found himself kneeling by his side.

They shared a few brief whispered words and then Heme gave Faven a pain pill. Then he headed over to Rena. He quickly accessed her vitals, wishing his head didn't hurt. He was barely alive and seemed to want to die. He found the pill Faven had tried giving her and snatched it up. He pulled out one of the vials with a clear liquid inside. Placing the pill in the palm of his hand he squoze two drops onto the pill. It liquidized swiftly. he swapped syringes, taking out an empty one. He sucked up the liquid pill then without hesitation injected it straight into her vein. Seconds later her breathing became less labored. Heme sighed, she would be just fine after awhile.

((I am still developing my characters. XD
Sorry about the long delay. sweatdrop ))

Fuego was a bit skeptical of Sinrith's words. After what he had been through at the Lab, he knew what a Hunter was capable of. Some of them would do anything to carry out their mission. Still Sho seemed to be a bit more relaxed. He sucked in a breath. He couldn't have relaxed even if he wanted to. It had taken Sho long enough to earn Fuego's trust.

Sho sighed. He wouldn't be able to relax until they were back at the hotel. It was nothing against Sinrith; his change of heart seemed genuine enough... After fighting two battles almost back to back and getting very little sleep and food in between... Well he was running pretty low on energy.

Kalm took a deep breath. "It's alright..." Could the fight really be over that easily? Kalm sat down on the deck. Whether Sinrith had a change of heart or not, it would be nice to get some rest. He honestly didn't know if they could have beaten Vure that time around given their lack of energy. It was good the fight had ended when it did.

Rai was slightly upset. He didn't really care that they seemed to have a truce with this Hunter group, the less of the Pack that got hurt the better. It was the fact that this Hunter group could possibly be killed if Lenil ever found out about this. He was also wondering what you happen if they returned to Nias on the ship? The Nias guard probably wouldn't let an enemy vessel go so easily... It would be upsetting if they died so soon after calling a truce...

Sora blinked, realizing the fight had stopped. She flew rather sloppily down to the deck. I should have teliported when I was closer to Zira... She had underestimated the distance and had used too much energy in doing so. She managed to land on the without making herself look stupid in front of everyone. She sucked in a breath and steadied herself before walking over to Faven. She sat down beside him. "Are you okay?"

Zira's attacks dissipated, grudgingly, when Sinrith spoke and the fight stopped. The black eagle flew back over to her side, sparking with energy. Zira wanted to stay airborne but truth be told she was utterly exhausted from the flight here. She gracefully swooped down and sat on the deck rail, eagle landing on her shoulder.

Vure stayed in flight and didn't bother apologizing to May, he blamed her for Kire's predicament. He ignored her and glided down the stairs. He was going to check on Kire.

Heme left Rena's side to check on Zeik. Sinrith surrendered Zeik to Heme's capable hands. Heme lay in on the deck and quickly sifted though his bag until he found what he was looking for. A small bottle of blue liquid. He dripped a couple of drops into Zeik's mouth. A few minutes later Zeik was sleeping peacefully.

Sinrith sat down beside Zeik, giving Heme a worried look. Heme nodded gave him a nod and headed for Faven again. Sinrith didn't like showing weakness in front of enemies but was glad that they had accepted the truce. He pushed all thoughts of what could happen if Lenil ever found out about this. He was supposed to be the best hunter they had and yet here he was making a truce with enemies.

Rena stirred and began to shrink. Moments later she was in her normal form. She moaned, mournfully; taking up the fetal position. "Why, why, why, why...." she kept mumbling, voice soft and choked with sorrow. Tears leaked down her face and she began to sob. She felt perfectly fine, apart from some bad cuts and bruises, but nothing was life threatening. She wanted to die life wasn't worth living without Izeno. Why couldn't they just let me die. she thought morosely.

Fuego looked over at Rena. He figured she was upset over Izeno. He wasn't dead... He may not be awake right now, but in a couple of days he would probably be walking about again. Making fun of some stupid thing Fuego was doing. Fuego walked over to Rena. He knelt down in front of her. "I know you haven't been with us long... I'm not sure how much you know about Izeno... But he's a fighter. He may not be awake right now, but in a couple of day's he'll be back. See... Izeno doesn't just die. He wouldn't just lay down and take death. After all. There's a reason why Izeno has the powers he does."

Rena looked up a Fuego, her face soaked with tears. She shook her head slowly. "Not physically, but he is gone. He won't respond," her voice chocked as fresh tears poured from her eyes. She lowered her head and whispered, barely audible. "Dark side was the only one there, laughing at me." She shook from the silent sobs. She curled into the fetal position, her tail wrapping around her leg.

Heme began to work on Faven. It appeared he was in no immediate threat, his internal structure was sound enough. He pulled out on of the pre-filled syringes and injected it into Faven.

Faven gasped as the liquid seemed to set his blood on fire. He convulsed a few times, Heme steadying him, then stopped. His breathing even and eyes closed peacefully.

Heme stood up and looked around noting everyone's physical condition. Then he turned and walked away down the stairs, following Vure. He had noticed a blood soaked bandage around his head as he left.

Fuego sighed, getting up. Part of death was not being there mentally right? Izeno had just passed out... Of coarse the way things were going it looked like Izeno could be in a coma... He didn't really think too much of it. Things like this had happened before, and Izeno always came out fine in the end... The only thing that he was worried about was Izeno's Dark Side. The potion Keith had gave him had suppressed his Dark Side, but for how long?

May looked around cautiously, watching the people that had been trying to kill them moments before. The fight had ended suddenly, and thanks to her assassin training, it made her suspicious. She shifted to her human form and stuck a hand in her pocket, her fingers curling around the pearl inside, while her other hand kept the gash on her side closed for the most part. She watched Vure fly off, not caring if he apologized to her or not. He annoyed her to no end, and she didn't even know anything about him, she could find out his whole life's story in a matter of weeks, but she didn't care to. Mayithra walked over to Fuego and Rena, even though she should probably be looking for some crazy glue or suture material.

Virus nodded and smiled looking down at Shadow before setting her cup of noodles down so she could get up. “If you like we can go ahead and go unless you want to do something else here.” She leaned down to pick up the noodles a little unsure of what to do with them.

Coast nearest the Ship.

Balthezar looked at the horizon wearily. He spotted his target and aimed his right revolver at it. He had been following the ship from Nias since it left, his journey non-eventful. He lost sight of it a few times throughout the trip, yet tracked it down again.
He mumbled "Ships are no match for traveling by foot." as he let loose a shot that he knew would be heard, yet not injure any one. With his shot fired he packed up belongings and continued traveling along the coast, making sure that he could still see the ship.

((Figured I'd actually make an introduction and do something while I waited.))

A lullaby for you.
Don't you worry baby, I'll be here by your side
May tomorrow be wonderful too.
Close to you I hope to stay,
Endlessly from today,
Even through cloudy days, You are not alone.

(( Gin- Firefly. <3 Although I haven't seen a lot of the show yet, I have seen the movie, and I loved it. ))

A lullaby for you.
Stars will always gracefully watch over 'til it's bright.
May tomorrow be wonderful, too.
Take my hand and promise me that we'll be alright.
Finding a place to feel at home, You are not alone.

Rena continued to sob, ignoring Feugo and pretending she didn't notice May had walked over. She tried to contact Izeno again, halfheartedly. She believed he was already lost to her forever. Izeno, I love you. she thought to him the tears still flowing.

Halfway down the stairs his brain registered Keith's condition. He turned back to face the sky though the deck, then back down the hallway. Head throbbing he decided to make sure Keith lived. So long as Vure was under control of his emotions he could wait. He headed back up the stairs to the deck, shielding his eyes from the glaring sun. The sun was beginning its slow descent.

Sinrith started at the sound of the gun. Looking up he realized he could see the shore now. He stood swiftly cursing profanely under his breath. Even if he could truce with this group he knew that the those on the docks wouldn't be so kind. If they weren't killed on the spot, this only a chance because they were in Gigmore's territory, they would be taken prisoner. He knew that he and his team were in no condition to fight and win. He wouldn't give up easily either. He refused to be shamed by being taken captive now. It would be bad enough not to bring back the prisoners. His face locked in a fierce, determined look, his whole kind, understanding persona vanished. He gently scooped up Zeik and headed for the stairs.

Cave

Zen grinned. "Let's go then." He said turning. He was caught up in the moment as he dashed from the room quicker than he had intended.

((Sorry, Got caught up in schoolwork.))
