"Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech Ha'olam, Shechehimanu Veki'imanu Vehigiyanu B'azman Hazeh."
Meaning: Praised are You, Lord our God, who has kept us alive until this moment. Hebraic prayer said on reaching a special occasion or turning point in one's life.

Erensii Rosale finished his quiet phrase, opened his eyes, and looked up through the thin umbrella keeping him out of the rain to watch the transport helicopter depart. It really was horrible out, not a day for any sort of life-changing advancements, but what choice did he have? His parents had arranged everything and he was not going to complain. Plus, it was the chance to meet new people.

Making sure to keep his book by his side and out of the rain, the seventeen-year-old walked down the path and stared up at the two-story building in front of him. A quick peek at the map confirmed that it was in fact the cafeteria, something he would be looking forward to as soon as he found out where he could drop off this bag that...must weigh a good thirty. Standing still to look around him, he found the building that was noted as the office peeking out from behind the cafeteria and headed towards it, grayed hair falling back as he walked.

On reaching the office he was quickly shuttled through one or two staff members, pointed towards a dorm building, given a card and paper with scheduling on it, and sent off. Well, at least it was quick. I don't feel like staying around for too long in an admin building, so let's see this room. Pocketing the card and paper, he moved down to his dorm building and swiped in, then moved through to his room and pulled open the blinds to look out on the island. Looks peaceful, and... The sound of his stomach whining cut away the rest of his thought. Dropping his bag by the bed, he walked back into the outer doorway, popped open his umbrella, and moved outside. In a few moments he was through the dining hall's entrance.

Alwyn sat alone for her meal. she didnt know if she did this because she wanted to be alone or because she was just too shy to just up and sit with anyone. She did however take alot of pleasure in watching everyone else around her. It was a hobby she had to see how people acted and reacted to each other. To see what affected others and to figure out why such things effected people in so many diffeent ways. It was to her a wonderful puzzle. Alwyn went invisible and then something she didnt expect happened. She fell through her chair and reappeared on the ground the chair through the middle of her body... she was fine but unable to get up as her hands kept passing through the tyable. her quiet lunch ended with a scream.

[[i hope nobody minds ive been intending to do it for some time to help better with the nickname thingy if there are problems due tell ill be glad to make changes]]

[[Hello people.]]

Candice was now sitting alone drinking coffee at a separate table. Her hair fell over her eyes as she wondered why Matt wouldn't tell her in person. She wanted to send her mother a picture of them. Lite had died and Matt left, so how was she going to remember them now. Candice looked at her coffee before noticing a new face. Her eyes brightened as she stood up. She wasn't looking for a replacement for Matt and Lite, she justed wanted to make sure he felt happy, and make a new friend as well.

She walked over to Erensii who had just entered the eating area and smiled at him than bowing politely. "My name's Candice Centennial team 4 junior year, it's so great to meet you." Candice's eyes shined and her smile stretched. "What about you?"

((Was waiting for a reply too...but, oh, well... here goes))

Will's question was interrupted by a scream. The lad blinked and turned toward the scream to see a girl STUCK in the chair! It was too good to pass up. Now, Will wasn't truly up to being heroic, but the situation was so odd, he decided to walk over to the girl after waving to his tablemates.

The blonde looked down at Alwyn. "You seem to be stuck," he remarked, making absolutely no motion to help her... as if he could in the first place.

Making a short bow in return, he looked at the girl who had just approached him. "Erensii. Erensii Rosale." Thinking over the last words she had said, he slipped his hand into his pocked and pulled out the folded piece of paper from before. "Senior year, and team..." Looking over it, he located the line that stated his team. "Team 1. Good to meet you as well." Looking over the people in the cafeteria, his eye was caught by what he had come here for, originally: the food. "Is there anything good to eat here? I'm starving."

Slowly, he turned back to a space he had just glanced over, noticing something odd. "And um...I'm not sure if I should be asking this, but - is that guy who's sleeping in his steak doing okay?" Well, that's a strange enough start. I guess the other students here all have changes as well, of some sort. Another slight turn revealed to his eyes a girl who seemed to be stuck partly into her chair. Not going to ask. Not going to ask.

Candice started to laugh and covered her mouth. She calmed down before shaking her head. "That's Tess, we're all a little different I guess." She looked at the list above of what they were serving and smiled at him. "Well, Erensii, they have really yummy spaghetti, and sandwiches." She smiled at him and nodded. "And if you want a good drink they have great juice in the machines."

((Sorry for my absence, but I had quite a bit of difficulty trying to write for Sam. I'll try to be active again.))

Sam nodded to Will as his teammate took a seat at his table. He could tell that the other teen didn't feel like talking, so the empath remained silent, choosing to shift his gaze to the cafeteria's glass door and watch the rain fall. The aquatic projectiles appeared to be passing Sam's line of view less frequently than they had on the beach. As soon as he noticed it, however, the pace quickened once again.

Sam's trance was not broken by the opening of the portals to the natural world to grant another student shelter from the depressing weather. He continued staring into space until he heard Alwyn's scream. As the sound cut through the dull roar of the cafeteria, the boy shot from his seat and darted toward his friend's table, wondering if there was anything he actually could do to help, given the girl's current predicament. "Are you alright, Alwyn?" he asked. "Er, as alright as you can be in your situation?" Sam's concern was evident on his youthful visage, as well as his knowledge of the fact that he could only offer words of encouragement.

"Ahh, I see. Thanks!" Looking at the list as well, he thought it over. Whatever, sandwiches sounds fine. She didn't seem to mind them so they can't be anything that'll be really bad. "I'm going to grab a bite. See ya later." Turning towards the machines, he walked slowly over to get something to drink, still taking in the people around him.

It does look like the people around here aren't the same. The change - I heard that all of us here have it. I wonder what that girl's was, she seemed at least mostly normal. Flexing his arm for an instant at his side, he looked down at it. This is a pain to deal with. It's not like I can help what I think. Let's hope this will at least make it...reasonable.

Candice waved to him and sighed quietly to herself. She started to the table next to her and sat down at it. Candice removed a piece of paper and began to draw several stick figures which if you looked closely you could tell they were actually body graphs for an actual picture.

Candice hummed childishly and started to smile. "Eh, Sh-shirotabi." She said quietly as her bag shuffled and a rabbit popped it's head up."

Alwyn looked at both the people that were trying to help her. "im stuck" she sobbed stating the obious" my hand cant grab anything to pull myself up." she turned invisible and then visible again " how do i get out of this thing" she asked her voice shaking it was really scary to be stuck in her chair...

Well, doesn't take an expert to figure that out... Will rolled his eyes, and stopped when he saw the girl flash out of existence and back again. Interesting... He held out his hand. "Grab on, but I can't guarantee my hands are solid," he said. They were. His hands weren't oily or anything like that, and he, most certainly, could not go through objects. "Do whatever you did before?" he suggested lamely.

lwyn reached for his hand and it passed through. she turned a very crazy shade of white. "am i going to be like this forever" she whispered looking at her hands. she readhed for his hand again. "think solid thoughts" she kept repeating to herself. She was able to grab his hand and pull herself up. she flashed in and out of visibility again. her hand slipped thorough the boys hand but she managed to stay standing. "whats happening to me..." she whispered. "th...thanks" she said remembering the boy and then looking back at her chair.

"Err..." Will said when Alwyn's hand passed through his. The girl's ability must be passing through solid objects, he decided. "No problem." From Sam's response, it seemed the girl's name was Alwyn. As to the girl's question of what was happening, he had no idea. Maybe she was tired, or perhaps, she was losing control. That did seem to happen to mutants, himself included.
