Someone once posted something that was much better than a simple facepalm, but I can't remember waht it was, just that it was epic. WHY is that? You'd think if it was so epid I'd remember it for sure. :/

I did not know that level of epic-ness was possible.
Did you know that nursing used to be kind of a frowned upon profession because the only people who were available to nurse on a daily basis were prostitutes? (They didn't go to school or anything either, it was more the practical sort of care and if you pulled out of it you lived....kinda rough deal).
Then Florence came around and was like, hey~ I'm a statistician who likes to wash her hands and come from a fricking good family. Like. Shove over.

She actually sounds kind of uptight from what I learned about her in class, but I'm guessing a lot of that had to do with the societal expectations at the time and she was probably getting a whole lotta judgement but still.
This has been your random nursing fact from your 'awaiting the full expectations of her job description' trainee nurse. smile
