((Hey Kiyo! I posted some Sun introspect, you can post some Jack introspect and then I shall make this interesting since no one seems to be here... unless Gaia really is playing tricks on me again...))

Jack stood up and stretched, he had slept unusually well last night. Could what have happened last night with Sun only been a dream? With a quick glance around the cave he saw that she was no where to be seen. He walked over to the waterfall and washed his face, he could tell he needed a shave again, but with lack of decent razors he was out of luck. He sighed softly and grabbed his pack to head out to the beach to check on everyone down there.

((okay, and I just had a random laughing fit... on with the RP! Yes, I agree... Viva la Mulder!!!))
Sun walked along the beach with the water still washing over her bare feet. The tides had brought seaweed and all sorts of interesting shells and washed them up on the beach. She closed her eyes and felt the sun shining on her, it's spidery rays creeping ove her arms and banishing the chill of the early morning dew. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Sun felt a severe burning pain that seemed to seize her entire right foot. She fell to her knees and screamed. A jellyfish had been brought in by the tide and had stung her. Sun continued to scream until the pain became too much and she fainted...
((jellyfish stings hurt. been there, done that. I passed out. oh yeah. Never going swimming in the pacific again. Ever.))

((Oh you got stung by one! That really sux! gonk )) Jack suddenly heard a scream ring out in the usually quiet jungle. He was certain it was from the direction of the beach and it sounded female. He raced as fast as he could to the beach, and as he felt his lungs were about to burst he saw Sun screaming out in pain. Jack run over to her and slid in front of her, "Whats the matter? Where did you get hurt?"

((Yeah, a couple of years ago when I was on vacation. At least it wasn't a shark bite. xd I just realized that 'Iris' by the Goo Goo Dolls is a really sad, sweet song! There's an awesome fanfic that works perfectly with it. I must post the URL for that later...))
Sun could hear Jack's voice beckoning her out of the darkness that obscured her senses. The pain was terrible, but she clung to consciousness. Sun slowly opened her eyes.
"Jellyfish," Sun breathed, her voice barely above a whisper as she pointed to her right foot.
Sun was tempted to give in to the darkness again, but she knew that it wasn't the right choice. She fought hard to keep from screaming out in pain again.

Jack cursed under his breath. He knew what he need to do, and he need to do it fast. Ideally he would need Vinegar, but he doubted that there was any here. He reached inside his pack and found a small bottle of liquor from the plane...he knew it would have to do for now. He quickly splashed the area of the sting with the liquor. He checked her foot for any stingers and it appeared she didn't have one stuck in her foot. " Sun stay with me now..." he said to her in the calmest voice he could muster. He knew back in the cave he had some meds if this became the worse case senerio, but as long as she stayed concious everything should be fine.
((Yay for google! Jellyfish first aid!))

((Ammonia is ideal, too, as I very painfully learned... but I seriously doubt that they'd have any of that on the island, either. LOL))
Sun hissed in pain as Jack poured the alcohol over the cuts. It was all she could do to keep from losing consciousness again. Sun didn't scream, she didn't want to draw everyone else's attention.
"Oh, God, it hurts, Jack," Sun said through clenched teeth.
As if it wasn't obvious enough. Sun gripped one of her sandals in her hand, squeezing the life out of it as she waited for the sting to go away. The problem was, it didn't go away. As soon as the alcohol began to dry and evaporate, the pain came back with twice the menace. Sun couldn't take it anymore, she wasn't strong enough. She fell back into the beckoning blackness of unconsciousness...
((ahh, shock-tastic drama. gotta love it. This is what the other RPers get if they leave us to our own devices, eh?))

((Now you just caused me to go into a giggle fit with the whole, "This is what the other RPers get if they leave us to our own devices, eh?" *snickers*))
Jack went pale and quickly checked Sun for a pulse, to his relief it was there, but very faint. He shook her in an effort to reawaken her, but to no avail. He knew he had to act fast, so he picked her up and ran as fast as he could, with her in his arms, to the caves. He wasn't sure if he would be able to make it there in time, but he knew he had to try...

((oh yes, the giggles are contagious. xd I could only imagine what kind of havoc you and I could wreak on fanfiction.net if we coauthored...))
Sun felt completely numb. All of the strength and determination had been drained from her body. The pain was clawing it's way up her right side, stinging higher with each moment. Sun couldn't find the strength to open her eyes. She was completely unaware of what was going on around her. All she knew was that Jack was there. She could feel his presence. It somehow calmed her.
"Jack..." Sun whispered almost inaudibly.
She held on for him. She wasn't going to willingly fall into the open, welcoming arms of the darkness again. If she did, Sun knew she would never see Jack again. She had to hold on...
((hehe I love drawing out the suspense. This is why people on fanfiction think I'm evil. I do this with my stories. biggrin ))

(( xd But suspense is a good thing!)) Jack finally reached the caves and set Sun down on a cot they made from some airline seating. He checked for her pulse again and was relieved to know it was still there. "Sun you keep up that determination!" Jack yelled at her. He ran back to his med cart and searched for the antivenin, they were lucky that someone on the flight was overly prepared for a worst case senerio during a scuba trip. Australia had some of the deadliest jelly fish...He hoped that the one Sun encountered wouldn't be as bad... With a yell of triumph he grabbed the antivenin and a needle. With the grace he had aquired from his years of patients he injected it into Sun...

((Oh man, google is the best. Like when we had the back and forth RP with Jack and Sun in the garden and I had to google all of the herbs...))
Sun was slowly being beckoned back into consciousness. Jack was calling out to her. The fog that had obscured her senses was finally being lifted and Sun could once again feel the welcome familiarity of awareness of her surroundings. Her right leg still ached, and her arm stung for reasons yet unbeknownst to her, but she could breathe easily again. Sun opened her eyes and looked around, confused momentarily as to where she was. She noticed Jack leaning over her. Sun breathed in shakily.
"What happened? How did I get here? I was just at the beach," Sun stated.
She looked to Jack for answers that her mind didn't yet have the capacity to provide...

((Ah yes *bows to google* Since I am by no means a Dr...I only pretend to be one in an RP kids! *snickers*))
Jack smiled at Sun, " You were stung by a jellyfish, but you are going to be ok now..." He gently put his hand on her neck to check her pulse again, and the memories of last night flooded back into his mind. I guess it wasn't a dream... Jack could feel his face get slightly flushed, and he coughed. "Yes you are going to be alright now..."

((That's like me. I've adopted the phrase "I'm not an actress, I just play one in real life." It's quite fun, actually. Exhillarating. Raising hell in RPs is what I do best. You should check out the other one, I play Jack there. Oh, yes. Good times. biggrin ))
Sun had no choice but to give in to Jack's ministrations. She saw the ghost of a blush fade from Jack's face. Sun knew that Jack had been thinking about the night before, too. It would take them both some time, but Sun was confident that sooner or later they would be back to normal. However, she knew that neither of them would ever completely forget what had happened. Sun felt a blush creep across her own features and she looked away until the heat in her cheeks faded. It was hard to decide on what to say. Sun settled on what she was sure anyone grateful to be alive in her shoes would say.
"Thank you, Jack. For saving me," Sun said lightly.
She nervously brushed a stray strand of hair away from her face and absent mindedly rubbed at the sore spot on her arm from where Jack had injected the antivenin.

(( xd I am in the other RP actually... I am supposed to play Kate...But I am scared to go back there, since I got an angry PM after I posted my Kate intro saying that I had to re-write it, so I have no idea what is going on in there... sweatdrop )) Jack nodded and looked Sun in the eye, "I couldn't have saved you if you didn't have the will to hang on..." Jack scrathed the back of his head, stood closer to Sun, and planted a light kiss on her cheek. With a smile he walked over to the waterfall and filled up a waterbottle with some water.

((Angry PMs suck. Really. I'm just having my own species of fun with the characters there. biggrin ))
Sun blushed and watched as Jack walked away. She watched as he kneeled down to fill up a water bottle. Sun slowly and cautiously stood and made her way over to Jack. She put a hand on his shoulder to steady herself, still favoring her left foot. She looked at Jack as she spoke.
"You gave me the determination that I needed to hang on," Sun said softly.
She smiled slightly and moved over to sit on a large rock near the edge of the water.
(( cry Aww, I have to go now, though. Just when this was getting awesome, too! Oh, well. Tomorrow I can stay up till ungodly hours RPing. I'll be online tomorrow evening, so PM me when you come on and we can continue this. Until then, fare thee well!))
