What am I going to do? I'm gonna bloody well leave, dammit! According to you, I don't deserve to be here in the first place, so why the hell not? *His silver eyes narrowed as he spoke* I'll be back on the weekend for this conference. Until then, why not try to calm down? As you said, it could've been far worse. I trust you can take care of Eecheb for now?

*The egar eye would watch Proto as he continued about his self appointed task. The shadow creature was probably unaware that Alpha Zenogais was in the area. That being had flashed light in its eye, how rude and annoying, not to mention painful. The creature itself remained plastered to the side of one of the lesser damaged buildings, watching everything in the immidiate area with its huge eye*
???: .........
*Eecheb would huff audibly and become slightly puffed up. His tail swayed back and forth rather quickly. Orias was only trying to be nice to him, besides, Slayer could have used an entirely different tone for the situation. The "utensils" that Orias had in his lair, were ones that he had found "in" the citadel. What if Orias didn't know how to use them, never having come across them before? Who knew a toaster and a stove could make such a blast? Also, who knew Orias had electricity in that big ice box he called a lair? Either way, water and electricity definityl didn't mix that day. But what Slayer said was true, there were various other locations Orias could build his new home. Perhaps he should check with Zio, on places that already had the ability to maintain a frozen type of atmosphere, like a curling rink or a sports arena of some sort. Upon hearing that Orias was going to leave, the boy's spirits dropped. It appeared that his help or attempt at it, simply wasn't enough to keep Orias around. Sure, he'd be back for the conference.... but, then what? Eecheb was no longer puffed up, but rather seemed, down trodden*

Twilight Justice Sho: *Sho just blinked as Cole himself posed a question. Sho had never actually thought of that question (It was just an annotation by his player xp )* Well that monstrosity, as you call it, is a shield >> OOC: ^^;;; Telepathy doesn't work very well in character unless you're actually psychic or you just read what a person puts and call it surface thoughts. I work with what I have, cause if I WAS telepathic, I certainly wouldn't be getting my a** kicked by my classes. IC: Cole rolls his eyes. "I could have told you that within a few guesses, what is it shielding? What's in there? Who are you? Why all the destruction? Who hates you? Are there any good books in there?"

Slayer: Leave? Well I hope you have a good purpose for doing so....... if I were you I would take up finding a new residence with your old one destroyed. If you're that determined to leave because of what I think, then I shall stand aside. *Slayer could see Eecheb's crestfallen appearance at the idea of Orias leaving. Slayer felt that Orias had little thought behind actions he made* There are more useful things you could do, of course.... I believe Eecheb is capable of looking after himself. After all, this is his home and is not the first time he has explored it.
Sho: *Sho huffed at all the questioning. Cole seemed to be getting ahead of himself* >> Bud... think about it. That barrier's there for a reason. You think one of those reasons is so that everyone knows about what's in there?

*The tip of Eecheb's tail would continue to twitch, as Slayer and Orias continued to converse. There were other places in the citadel that Orias could look into. Just about anywhere was free for exploration and inhabitation, safe for the west, the central tower, and perhaps a few other key locations. Slayer was at least partially right about Eecheb, he had explored his home on a few occassions, but he tended to have a knack for injuring himself. Self inflicted or not, perhaps the boy needed at least a little attention paid to him, lest he continue to get hurt. Mastema was supposed to start paying more attention to the lot of them. Perhaps he should start with one who had the least like or faith in him, the least loyalties. Well, that he could immediately spot in anycase. For the moment, it seemed a conversation between adults again, Eecheb would only be able to stand by and wait for now*

Thanatos_M Sho: *Sho huffed at all the questioning. Cole seemed to be getting ahead of himself* >> Bud... think about it. That barrier's there for a reason. You think one of those reasons is so that everyone knows about what's in there? "I've thought about it a lot." He pauses and blinks slowly, then thinks about his statement. Unbekownst to him a vein on his neck pops out and begins to twitch. "A lot a lot actually, I've done a whole LOT of thinking on this and its only made me more interested, I just don't know when I did the thinking. Odd that, urk, hey, what the?" Quote: Random flashes in my mind.
Flashes I can't comprehend, images I can, people, places, things, ideas, numbers, letters, signs, and information. All half remembered and half seen.
The doctors call it amnesia, its my own personal devil.
But I don't think I can label this with that. This is different, worse. Better...
One keeps coming up, a mask that I've never seen. Like a colorful face with overdone expressions, shaped in the form of a bird that lives in the flames...
Flames, I can see them in my sleep. Something that was lost long ago will never be found because its not really lost, just not found. And when it is found...
Those flames lead to an ending, but that's wrong, the ending is more accurate. The end, and the beginning. A new beginning, yet the same as there was before. Beginning and end, ending and begin anew again. An endless circle...
Around in circles, around in circles. Around, in Circles! Music with life and joy, the pure unaltered poise and form. A melody at once so haunting and so lifting and so drawing and so embracing and so all emcompassing that it goes on forever in an eternal circle. The perfect harmony...
A harmony of life, the freedom of the open skies and sea. Serenity and peace within onceself. Surrounded by friends and family, treasures more dear than riches. But with riches aplenty! The perfect life, but with stormy horizons in one long outstretched finger.
A ring finger, severed. Complete with a ring that is more than a ring. A bond between to people, but a piece of one's soul. Trouble for the one that posesses it, but even more for the one who once did. Do you really want it back, Twice-Born? The questions it answers may be too real for you.
And back to the mask...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
With an effort I shrug those images off. They seem to always be there, waiting for my mind to wander as it often does, but aren't really related to me. I don't know how I know this, I don't know how I know much of anything really. Its as much of a mystery to me as it was to all of them.
AH! This is where it starts to hurt again. I suspect the memories of them (ow) and those places (ow ow) happened between my first stint with the Black Company and when I am now. So many blanks filled in, but with no idea as to who, what, where, when, why, or how. I can tell you what a Greyhound is now thank you very much (Its a dog AND a bus wouldn't you know). But that time... haze and pain. That's a admonishing pain though, I've learned to tell the difference. An "All will be revealed in due time" kind of throb that simply warns away and promises to answer later.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Not like this pain, I knew where this came from. HIM.
He was here, and near, I didn't know quite how I knew though.
They'd (ow) taken a part of this from me too, enough that I wouldn't be able to actively seek this one out. I knew one thing though. Before all my other lessons save only a few, he taught me to hate.
I knew nothing of Black and White moralities (a part of me is asking, if I knew nothing of them, how do I know I know nothing of them? I may have to persue that later.) But I knew that out of all the people in the world few deserved what I felt for this man whos face I can barely see and name I can barely hear.
Flashes.
Robots? Insects? Papers? No, plans. Blueprints of some sort? How did I know that word...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then it all fades, and I realize that between sentences speaking to this man, my arm has started to shake and my hand hurts. I really must stop letting my thoughts carry me away. The twitching in his neck cascades down to his arm, causing all the muscles to spasm wildly and clentch his hand into a fist. Blood seeps out from his nail puncturing his palm. Cole's eyes widen and he looks on the verge of freaking out, but it subsides as fast as it came. "The ******** was that..." He pauses, then visibly pushes the problems of his own body away. "It may be true that most people aren't supposed to know, but I don't anyone that would want to know that shouldn't know. Or much of anything for that matter. That's why I want to know more, I want to know about all of these things that are happening around me and to me and why in the WORLD I keep seeing flashes of places and people I don't think I've ever met!" He pauses again, and looks closer at Sho. "In fact, what did you say your name was? I think I've seen you before..."

More useful how? Just what do you suggest I do? If you can give me one good thing, I'll consider staying and doing it. *The only reason Orias even considered staying now, was that he also saw Eecheb's expression change*

*Eecheb would, for the moment, continue to stay out of the conversation. If Orias could find something specific to do, and could do the job, then he would stay. What would the ice demon do in the citadel to make himself useful though? Spring had officially started now, and in a few months summer. Perhaps he could be an air conditioner? But, what to do in the mean time? Stepping back, Eecheb would once again sit down, bit this time he would be facing towards Orias and Slayer, unlike before when he was facing away*

Sho: o_0 THAT would be what I was talking about..... *Sho just blinked. He preferred to get away from people who were prone to attack themselves* >> Seen me before? Um... doubt it. My eyes are sharp and I doubt I'd forget a familiar face.
Slayer: You want me to give you something useful to do? I say that you don't even need my help in that, and if you truly can't see any reason to stay, then by all means feel free to leave. I have other matters which I can attend to at the moment. So if you need me no further, Orias, Eecheb, I bid you adieu. *Without another word, Slayer turned around and started walking*

Eecheb: .__.,
*Well that was a little bit of an awkward situation for Eecheb. Standing up to someone far stronger, and older, and getting away clean. However, the boy might act a little differently towards Slayer in the future. For now, he would be left behind on the roof top with Orias. What the ice demon intended to do, to be helpful and keep himself busy, he'd have to figure out on his own. Meanwhile there was only a day or so left until the conference. All three of the children would need to get back to the tower, have a good nights sleep, and get themselves prepared the following day*

Mastema Sho: o_0 THAT would be what I was talking about..... *Sho just blinked. He preferred to get away from people who were prone to attack themselves* >> Seen me before? Um... doubt it. My eyes are sharp and I doubt I'd forget a familiar face. (I didn't even realize I'd get to use this, forgot about it when I started writing the post. ^^) "I am NOT prone to hurting myself thank you very much. I may have a few mental disorders but that is certainly not one of them. I have seen too many injuries to do that." He rips off a strip from the bottom of his shirt, bemoaning the loss of the garment but knowing there wasn't much else to use. With a squint he sends one of his few psychic powers to work. His body's natural healing process speeds up and the wound begins to clot as his wrap the makeshift bandage losely around the punctures. He hadn't realized how deep they were, and frowns at his uncut nails. "I don't mean seen in person, I mean seen in a flash. I think you're the first one I've actually met in person. Cool."

Eecheb: >_> | I dunno.
*What was a "wank"? That was a word the boy had never heard before, and hopefully wouldn't get him in trouble later. Proto was apparently cleaning up some wreckage, the location of Orias' old lair. Eecheb now healed, didn't know where he wanted to go. Truthfully, it wasn't likely that he'd be able to stay out for too long. He and his siblings were likely going to be called back soon. They needed a good nights sleep before the conference, and they needed to get cleaned up aswell. Getting cleaned up could be done either today or tomorrow, but the good nights sleep, well that could only be done tonight*

*Orias walked over to the edge of the roof* Hmm...well if I go on, will you be okay by yourself? *He turned his head to look at Eecheb again. Even if he did go to help Proto, he'd probably end up with several large bumps on his head. His previous encounters with him hadn't been very pleasant*

Eecheb: <.< | Why wouldn't I be?
*It wasn't like anything else was going to blow up right? So, Eecheb should be safe. If anything, the boy could be teleported to safety if in danger. He'd had enough excitment for one day, but he should be all right on his own. If anything he could always ask Zio to get him down from the roof, once he was ready to do so*
