"I texted Achilles to show with us tonight, but with him it's hit or miss... And Billy... I hear he's been a little moody as well. I know it's hard. But they both really do need to go out more. life isn't always about the significant others."
She started to blush when Cassie asked about any crushes she had.
"Well there was one person... But I haven't seen her around in a while..."
She smirks thinking about Scandal. Then looks over to Cassie.
"I think i'm going to enjoy my single life while I can. After all, it's what being a teen is all about. I'm too young to be tied down."

Achilles had finished his first day back in classes, and had failed to get much accomplished in them or in his training afterwards with Coach Rogers and Namor. When Professor MacKenzie verbally lashed out at him, Achilles had done the unthinkable and lashed out right back.
That had earned him something called a week's detention and Headmistress Diana Prince sat him down and had a long talk with him about everything that he had been going through...
"You have to understand our role in Fate, Achilles." Diana said as she sat across from him at her desk. "Patroclus loves you. His spirit and yours are fated to be together throughout time." She took her hand in his and smiled her gentlest. "I am sorry for the trials you have been put through. I can not begin to understand the emotional pain, or the reasons behind it. The gods have their mysterious nature to them, but you can not let it affect who you are, and what you are meant to be."
"And what is that?" Achilles had asked. "What am I meant to be other than what your modern history calls me? A killer. *heh* Even the football team calls me the same."
Diana smiled. "They call you that as a token of affection. Your friends here in school, and your own sister, know you for what you *truly* are; a heroic warrior known in history as one of mankind's greatest. And a man whose great love is revered for over three thousand years."
Diana squeezed his hand. "Don't let your pain rule who you are, Achilles. You and Patroclus will be together again."
He contemplated this when the vibrating buzz of the *cell phone* on his belt told him he had a message.
He still did not completely understand this thing called technology, but it seemed simple enough once Cassie...and Wally ... and Danielle ... and Chris ... and, well as others had tried explaining these gadgets to him.
An invitation to hang out with his friends at that funny little diner...
He looked up and sighed. Perhaps Diana was right. He had been holed up in isolation with just Wally and Mysia for random company. Mysia had been fed and bathed already today. Perhaps the Princess was right. Maybe he should make that first step to readjust to the world with his friends.
He set the cell back into his belt and headed for Midvale.

" Yeah I can understand that.."
Cassie ordered the chicken club, curly fries, and a coke as she leaned back in the booth.
" To honest right now I just kinda wish we could get the group back together... you know like the old days... A bunch of friends, hanging out and kicking evil butt...Relationships... often complicate things."

*Chris and Wally flew/ran down to Midvale and the That 50's Diner. Chris could see Dani and Cassie in a booth already. He glanced over at Wally, hoping everything would stay cool.*
Age before beauty, speedy.
*Chris grinned and pushed his way past Wally, making his way into the diner. His eyes flicked to the booth where he last saw his mother. Thankfully, the girls chose one far from it.
Plopping down next to Cassie, Chris smiled at Dani.*
Ladies, ladies, ladies....how could two such pretty girls be here all alone?

"All the ladies can relax, I've arrived." Wally blew through the door of That 50's Diner and announced himself to the room. He immediately regretted it, seeing Dani and Cassie sitting together. Nobody else in the diner seemed to care, though, so Wally shrugged like it was no thing, gave a couple of random Hero High-ers a 'bang-bang' point as he walked by, and had a seat next to Dani.
"Hey Dani, got your text. Sup, Cassie?"
Obviously, Wally was going to play things like the deal between him and Cassie had never happened. Wasn't that the easiest way to deal with it? Besides, he had dozens of ladies in his little black book now. At the drop of a hat he could have that hottie from Hogwarts dialed up or that feral little number from Monster High.
Wally forced himself to plaster on a smile and checked his cell phone conscientiously after sitting down.
"Sorry, expecting a couple calls from some ladies. But don't worry, I've cleared my schedule for my pals." He put his arm around Dani. "Did either of you hear from Killer?"

Cassie smiled at Chris offering him some fries and looked over at Wally.
" Hi Wally. Dani said she texted Achilles but he hasn't come yet. I hope he's not still having 'problems' with using a cell phone."
Cassie was happy to see Wally and Chris. Sure Wally had been acting differently lately but Cassie decided it was best just to let it go.
" Anyways you guys must hungry."

Thanks!
*Chris swiped some fries and ordered whatever Wally was having so he wouldn't order anything his friend would object to as too expensive.*
Yea...saving kidnapped Dani is hunger inducing work. Who was the Darkness wanker that grabbed you anyway? We never ran into him.
*Chris figured Dani told Cassie about the kidnapping. The two blondes shared everything.
...
Everything? Like....bed secrets? GAH! gonk *

Two burgers and two extra-large orders of fries came to the table fast for Chris and Wally from Old Man Jughead's well-seasoned grill, and two chocolate shakes followed shortly after. Wally was famished and could have eaten it all himself if he wasn't on a budget. The most expensive part of his teenaged life was his metabolism...
In between bites, Wally agreed with Chris.
"Yeah, any intel you have on him we should know so we can smack him down if he tries anything like that again."

The little bell over the diner's entrance door jingled gently and a few heads looked up as an apprehensive Achilles set foot inside.

"Whoa, that was overdramatic. Like, I have a major hard on for Hartley all the time, but I wouldn't say I'd die for him. I bet he doesn't even mean that. I bet it's all to make for a good scene in his head." Wallace sighed, shoving his hands in his pockets as he rocked back and forth from heel to toe.
"He keeps playing himself as the tragic dumped sadsack, but he barely acknowledged how great you were to him. He's an immature baby, and this little stunt proves it. I mean, come on. One of the sports teams saw him naked with a little sign saying 'soap' on his neck, and you're begging for a n** slip but he's too busy playing chaste virgin princess. He's not worth your time to even be nice to. Makes me want to vom. Come on, we should go grab Hartley and go to an amusement park or something."
Wallace took Teddy's hand, dragging him away from where Billy had vanished in a poof of overdramatics.

Cassie lifted up an eyebrow as she looked over at Dani.
" So you were the one that was kidnapped.."
She sipped her milkshake not sure how to feel. On one hand she was happy that Dani was okay, on the other she was mad at herself because her friend was in danger and needed her help but Cassie didn't even know. Cassie looked at Dani a few seconds without saying anything... Why wasn't Dani straight with her about what happened? They were BFFs right? I mean Cassie told Dani everything... Did Dani not trust her? Cassie looked out the window quietly....

ACHILLES! OVER HERE!
*Chris waved down Achilles and squished Cassie a little to let Achilles into the booth. He tried to ignore being pressed up to her and smiled at Achilles.*
So...we're hanging. What do you wanna do? We could go slay some monsters. That was like...a thing to do in Greece, right? Or....UFC fight. Two mostly naked dudes trying to pummel each other into unconsciousness.

Wallace P Wells " Come on, we should go grab Hartley and go to an amusement park or something." Wallace took Teddy's hand, dragging him away from where Billy had vanished in a poof of overdramatics. As it turns out, Hartley was TOTALLY up for going to an amusement park or something in the middle of January. Maybe it was his latent supervillain-ness kicking in. Maybe someday he'd have himself a hideout in an abandoned amusement park and face down a superhero by tying them to a merry-go-round. Oh, that would be so awesome. Hartley was totally down with that.
Someday. In the meantime, Hartley used his resources (re: Being the sickeningly rich son of a publishing magnate) to get him, Wallace and Teddy a trip to the most awesome Amusement Park on the East Coast, Luthor Land!
Goal of the trip : get Teddy to stop whining about Billy.
Side Quest: Making out at the top of the Ferris Wheel with Wallace.
The side quest took about six minutes to accomplish. The main goal...not as easy. Hartley had thought Teddy was hot, once...you know, when he wasn't a giant warty green space alien thing with wings. But now he looked defeated, which wasn't hot in the least. "Hey, Teddy." Hartley poked him in the ribs as they headed over to the Log Flume. "Being melodramatic about every little thing is my gimmick. If you don't stop, I'll sue you for gimmick infringement."

Achilles blinked at Chris offering to take him to go see half naked men fight in something called ... UFC.
"I...." He sniffed and the scent of the grilled cheese burgers wafted through his senses, making his stomach rumble rather audibly. "I am good, with whatever is decided. 'Hang out' ... this UFC... I simply would be happy just doing ... what we are to be doing."
He then caught on to something Chris had said about...
"Do they even have monsters in this time?"

Teddy was obviously confused by the words that spilled from Billy's mouth. It didn't sound like the Billy he knew. But did he really know Billy anyway? Teddy's hand dropped to Billy's lower back, hovering at the small of his back. He took a step back, only his fingertips remaining, and then Billy stepped away from him. He wasn't quite sure where he had seen that woman before, but there was something about her. Hadn't she meddled in their affairs before? Ruined things?
He took another step toward the two, "Billy wait---" but then he was gone in a burst of flames. He could hear Wallace babbling away behind his back, and a few choices terms filtered into his brain. "Hard on?" he repeated, sounding bewildered as Wallace took him by the hand. "Roller coasters? I can dig it. But....do you think we should...maybe...I mean, Billy did go off with that chick there in like, flames. Never a good sign."
