Byaggha I live! New place is getting settled now, all the stuff's in my name...unpacking as fast as I can, because I can't stand being surrounded by a wall of boxes. So far so good - it's weird being so close to a video store/emergency food place (WalMart, this place has an actual Wegman's grocery store, so I'm avoiding the WalMart when I can) I can walk there. I think - if I heard phone plan guy right - I have a wicked good land line plan for once too. Once I get settled in properly, I might start asking for numbers of those in the US and Canada to annoy for a bit... ninja We'll see if I can overcome my dislike of the phone for once. biggrin Woot for free long distance ninja

Recursive Paradox I decided to be ironic with my avatar. Totally random...but I just wanted to say I really like your blog. I had no idea all this transphobic bullshit is associated with the feminist movement. sad I'm still trying to figure out how I can be feminist without my middle-class (passing) white privilege getting in the way.

Constant self analysis and be willing to have accountability for the mistakes that you will invariably make. Of course, that's just how to handle life in general so it makes sense it would make someone be a good feminist too.

Although it's almost inevitable that I might have a slip-up every now and then. I'm prepared to apologize if (when) that happens.

I've always had a hard time identifying with a given rights group- X Ethnic Rights, X Gender/Sex/Etc Rights, and so on because I come to a place where I'm about Equal Civil Rights and the only way I end up being labeled is because I have limited resources to fight against established denial of rights that target small groups.

I had one of those "WTF?!" moments.
I was reading my Facebook page when I saw my Sister In Love had announced she was an auntie- and I was just going "When did this happen and where was I?" gonk

My computer is sick, so I'm about to perform exploratory surgery on it.
Does anyone know what the graphics card in a laptop looks like?

TeaDidikai What laptop do you have? Does your software driver specify which card you have? It's an HP Pavilion tx2110us. It's got an NVidia card in it. I think I found it, if other websites are correct and it's really just a chip, not a graphics card. Now if I can only figure out what's wrong. I've heard it's a soldering issue, but I don't know what I should be looking for.

I really don't want to spend the $400 for HP to replace my motherboard. Especially since it looks like lots and lots of people with the same computer have this same issue about half a year after the warrantee expires.
