Billy closed his eyes and rubbed his fingers along the pendant which had the faintest trace of a red glow in its recesses.
"Well, things can't be the same for everyone. Maybe that's where I'm different. Maybe my problem is that 'friends' aren't the solution."
He opened his eyes and they weren't the same color as they were before.
"Maybe they're the problem."

*Chris narrowed his eyes. He knew that kind of talk. That's crazy, evil alien talk after it takes over your body and blows up the Hostess factory.*
How? By wanting to help you? Hang out with you? Eat tasty Hostess Fruit Pies with you? How am I a problem for you?
*Cause Teddy dumped him for the anti-love spell?
GAH! Shut up, brain!*
You want to make up with Teddy? I can help with that. But I know Teddy won't be interested in a guy with no time for friends.

"Then you completely misunderstand me Chris."
Billy headed for the door, brushing his shoulder against Chris's roughly.
"I told you Teddy could go to hell."

*Chris shouted at Billy as he stalked out of the room.*
I don't misunderstand you. You're just in denial and angry! Being like this gets old fast, Billy. Come back when you need a friend.
*Chris shut his door and collapsed on his bed. Ugh. Maybe he could sleep now. As long as there were no more Emo Kids or, God help him, Karen Starrs.*

"You do good work, I must admit." Viktor of New Salem said as he looked up from the Pool of Vision. "I have never seen anyone manipulate another with such ease. The boy really doesn't know that you're speaking through him."
Satanna smiled and looked down into the Pool's waters as the young target was storming out of the dorm room the other little pest had dragged him into.
"Thank you, but it's just a little hobby. A bit of fun if you will."
Satanna looked up and they were joined by four other New Salemites, all clad in the robes depicting them as High Priests and Priestesses of the ancient community.
"I think he's just about ready."
She stood upright and rested her hands on her curvacious, leather-clad hips.
"Just let me work a bit more of my own magic."
With that, she vanished in a flash of Hell Fire.
Billy stormed down the hall and walked right outside of the boy's dorm, not even stopping at his own dorm which he now shared with, ironically enough, Teddy. He got to the bottom step and stopped. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
He didn't feel well.
He leaned onto the railing and had a seat on the bottom step and tried to steady his nerves. What was wrong with him? He never used to let these things affect him like this. But everything just kept piling up and, maybe he was just venting? Yeah, that must be it. he'd apologize later to everyone once he got his head back on straight. Right now he thought maybe he was coming down with something.
He felt drained.

Dani tried really hard to ignore Wally statement about disappointing girls. How could he have been through so much and yet his attitude toward ladies hasn't changed at all... That was frustrating... but then again he did 'save her life' so she couldn't expect al that much change from him... could she?
She sighed shaking her hair then smirked.
"Guess this means the party's over... Heh."
She walked over to Achilles and patted him on the shoulder.
"If you say your alright then I believe you, you've never lied to me before, Ad I don't think you'd start now. Good luck, and if you ever want to go out, you know who to call."
Then hoped over to Wally's bed, and kissed him on the cheek like she would a brother if she had one.
"And as for you!" She started seriously then softened to a laugh. "You really need a steady girlfriend. Someone outside your circle of friends, cause we all know how that turns out." She rolled her eyes referring to both herself and Cassie. Then smirked again getting up to leave.
"And thanks again for the save today. Your my hero."
She waves to them, then heads out.

Linda had watched as Billy stormed off. From what she gathered he had been dumped and was taking it badly? Of course who would take that sort of thing well? Everyone gets burned sometimes... But given that it seemed like every student in this place had some sort of weird power Linda wondered if she should tell a counselor... Linda shook her head thinking that it might make things worse. She just hoped that Billy wouldn't blow things out of proportion. Linda sighed as she walked towards the library.
"Kid Flash.... what would you do?"

Teddy caught Wallace in his arms, his hands locking underneath his thighs to support him. "Nah, I think I want to be single for now. I mean, before Billy I was just ...figuring myself out, and I think I want to keep doing that." Teddy set Wallace back down on the floor, then turned so that he could give the other boy a piggy back ride. Once Wallace was situated, he headed back through the dorm.
"I mean...I just...with Billy...I dunno. I think he thought he saw me enough, but ...I don't think he did. And we didn't make out as much as he thinks we did because he's kind of a prude. I just wanted time spent exploring and talking and sharing secrets, but we never did that. And I wanted intimacy, and there wasn't any. I tried to get his shirt off once, and he immediately put it back on. I didn't even get a peek."
Teddy sighed, shrugged, and headed toward the dorm steps, freezing when he saw Billy sitting there. He didn't look so good. He lowered Wallace safely to the floor before he headed over to him. "Ba---," shoot. He had almost said 'babe'. "Billy? You ok?" Teddy sat down next to Billy, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You sick? Maybe you should get to the nurse, or at least your....our room. I'll uh...carry you if you need me to."

Jen gasped as she realised she was almost going outside in her pannies.
"I really have to stop doing that." Jen laughed. "Look I got the banner all dry from the enormous sneeze attack! We gotta remember to be careful around that elephant next time, two trunks made a heck of a mess."
Jen showed off the banner, sure it looked a little splotchy in places but the main sparkles were still there and it seemed to be still readable and bright.
"I really need your cheerleader qualities to get some more supports for this club, then we can go up to the Principle or whoever we need to and get the permission."

Classes were back in session the next day at Hero High, the first classes since what was becoming known as the "All the Schools helped kick Trigon's Butt" incident. It wasn't a very succinct name, but it did get the point across.
Wally sighed. Doing SCIENCE~ wasn't as much fun since he'd asked Professor Allen to assign him a new lab partner, since partnering with Cassie anymore was right out. And his new partner, Hartley Rathaway, didn't seem to care about doing anything but listening to his iPod and staring out the window.
The other sigh-worthy thing was that Wally's efforts to get the gang together - yes, even Cassie - to hang out after school weren't going well. Achilles didn't want to do anything but lie around doing his own sighing - which was what was starting to drive Wally to do it, and baseball tryouts were pending for Chris, meaning he was going to be spending a lot of time working out and preparing for that.
Still, Wally was nothing if not determined. So, he parked outside of Chris's dorm room after classes got out and decided to wait to see if his newly re-dudebro'd dudebro was available to put the band back together.

Where was Cassie? She ended up spending most of the day with the cheerleading squad shopping, eating out, and stopping a few small crimes here and there. Still she hadn't seen Dani, Chris, or Wally all day. Cassie sighed as she went into her dorm room.... no roommate. She missed rooming with Dani, they always had fun. Cassie looked at her phone and texted Dani 'Pizza, movies, and video games?'. Cassie hoped Dani would respond... hanging with the cheerleaders was cool and all but Dani was still her best friend and it might be fun to have a girls night.

*First day back and Coach Rogers put eveyone through calisthenics that was trying out for the baseball team. If a lock like Chris! After that early morning mess, Chris had a full day of classes followed up by an Avengers training session with Coach Rogers. Needless to say, everything hurt.
Chris limped back to his dorm, cursing his incredible baseball ability and badass Avengerness. If he sucked then no one would want him and he could have slept in.
He found Wally outside my door and let the speedster inside.*
Dude...my pains have pains. Rogers kicked my butt today.

Ah...the new newspaper. Just like the old one!
::When Clark had rebuilt the newspaper office, he had made it a copy of the old one. A new semester...his last one as a student. He would do it this semester. He would ask Lois out. It would be awesome. Now...he'd just have to wait for Lois to come in to her desk.::

"Sounds like you need a night out, dude." Wally nodded as he watched Chris collapse face-first on the bed. "We all do. C'mon, what do you think? You, me, Achilles, Dani....Cassie...go out for a night on the town? We can make a pact - no drama."
Wally clasped his fists together as if he was already making the pact with himself. It was his way of telling Chris that he wouldn't cause any trouble with Cassie. Wally wouldn't say it out loud, but he was desperate to put things back the way they were at the beginning of school...the group of them, hanging out, having fun, being heroic. He wanted to jump start getting back to that as soon as possible.
"We could go to That 50's Diner, or catch a movie, or go out on patrol..."

I'm cool with all that.
Except...I have a cash flow problem since Christmas.
*Chris flushed. He hated not having money to do stuff with his friends. He'd be flush again as soon as Dr. Richards called him back about that job flier.*
But I'm up for stuff....
