**Enter Maggie**
*Maggie flickers in, wearing a long winter nightshift, with her hair plaited in one long braid over her shoulder. She's clutching a candle in one hand as she moves forward, but stops in mid-step as she sees she's in the Brink*
Oh, heavens ... *she glances around, but doesn't see anybody else there for the moment*

*For a moment, Maggie considers just returning home . .. but it's been a little while since she's been here, and if she stays there's always the chance that the Brink might call someone else in. So she blows the candle out and sets it down on the nearest table. Closing her eyes breifly, she summons up a shawl to drape over her shoulders.*
*In the meantime, perhaps she can find Bard's book again and read a little further in it. With that thought in mind, she pads barefoot down the hallway toward the library*

*Maggie returns a little while later with the book she was looking for. Still no sign of anybody else here . . . . she pauses to cover a yawn with her hand. Well, perhaps she can just read and rest in her room for a bit, and then check the main room later*
*She crosses over to the board to retrieve her key, and then heads for the opposite hallway*

**Enter Luana from Guest Rooms**
Luana was looking much better when she next entered the main room. She had showered and cleaned up, even taken a long nap. She was functioning, but not feeing any better.

:::Kal appeared seated in one of the chairs on in the middle of the room. His elbows were propped onto his knees, and his hand cradles and rubbed his face. He looked pale, which was odd for a desert prince:::

Luana saw him, but it seemed he did not see her right away. She had her arms wrapped around herself, and her, instead of being tied back, fell over her face.
In truth, she had wanted to go home , finish her work, and get ready for the funeral, but it seemed that Kal wasn't doing any better than she was.
She walked over to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Oh..! :::Kal saw his fellow occupant, and managed to fake a bit of a smile for her. The look in his eye still painful:::
Hello Luana... how is it you... :::but as he really got a look at her he noticed something off:::

Her hand snapped back when he jumped. In response to his question she shook her head sadly.
"I've... well, its been rough, the past few days. At home, I mean."

This time Luana is a bit more coherent when she spoke. "There was some kind of accident with the flyer, and Andy was inside. He..." She took a shaky breath. "He didn't... Didn't make it." Her eyes were on the floor.

:::He didn't know the circumstances, but he understood exactly what had happened. He didn't ask anything else, right then. Kal just put his arms around her shoulders and pulled her in. In all honestly, he could have used a hug himself, but this one was for her:::

It seemed to Luana that she had cried every tear that she had in her, but as Kal held her a few more fell. She had let no one touch her since her father delivered the grim news, but something just felt right about being hugged by him. She did her best to return it.
"I still can't believe it," she said in a low voice. "I didn't think it could happen... that there was some kind of mistake.
